Cannot beat the location! Easy walk to everything, including the station (for trips to Pompeii or bus to Positano and Amalfi). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast was ok, a simple buffet breakfast and you can order coffee as you prefer. It has a lovely pool but it’s not heated so it’s more suited to summer vacations. Typical European size hotel room and with an elevator! It was good for us because we were out all day and just needed a place to shower and sleep. Breakfast was a bonus.

Sorrento nostalgia.

Good location, near port for boat excursions. 1950’s style hotel retaining original features although further updating would benefit guest comfort. Good sea view from upper floor balconies. Nice swimming pool. Traditional buffet breakfast service with professional waiters to assist.

Great Stay

Great stay at this hotel. Comfortable rooms, really great breakfast and a short, flat walk into the middle of Sorrento. Staff were very friendly.

Great hotel, great location, pool & view

Great hotel close to everything. Great place to use as a base for seeing the Amalfie Coast. Stayed 5 nights, had balcony and sea views, loved it. Has pool, bar, etc. Great breakfast.

Great hotel

Great spot, close to all sights. Amazing view. Hotel staff lovley and eager to assist with navigating sorrento. Walking distance to train station and ferry lift. Breakfast was basic but good.

Average for the price

It was a nice hotel to walk into, air conditioned and breakfast included, extremely convenient location, but the WiFi NEVER worked even with full bars, which is a big thing for young travelers relying on WiFi, the shower sprayed everywhere and wet the floor, pool closes at 6pm which is very early when it doesn’t get dark till 9.30 and you’re coming back from your day trip at 7 and want to lie by the pool. No English tv, staff wasn’t very helpful when I tried to ask if we could change that. Disappointing with the price we paid. Moved onto a hostel in Naples which has been of better quality.

The entrance Lobby, reception, breakfast room, bar area, pool, all very nice. The staff all very pleasant except the management. Very Faulty Towers. Once you go up a floor to the rooms it all changes and for the money its one of the worst rooms we have had. it was old, dorm like. The bed was rock hard, pillow with thread bare pillow cases. The bathroom was so small. It has a dark green shower curtain on an extremely small shower. They could probably not put in a glass door as there would not be enough room for your knees sat on the toilet. The management did not help on any aspect we asked about. Our worst four days out of 30 days in Italy. To think we choose this hotel especially thinking we were going to get a bit of luxury at the end of our holiday. Not Happy.

Pleasant stay

Hotel is very conveniently located close to the beach, train station and main square (all within a 5 minute walk). On my final night, at roughly 8pm, from my balcony, I had the most incredible view of the beautiful fireworks over the ocean. Very memorable way to end my stay here!

Good Location

Booked the Carlton for a 3 night stay with my husband & adult daughters. We had two rooms, the last two on the site Expedia site.One had sea views, the other had garden views. The rooms are very dated so you really need to get a sea-view room to compensate for that. The little balcony was lovely & a nice spot for a pre-dinner drink. Breakfast was good, and had a large assortment to choose from, however no hot options. Forget internet if you don't want the frustration of unreliability.One night I was so desperate to get a tour booked and our room connectivity was so poor/non-existant that I went downstairs to the main hotel area. I moved from the foyer, to the piano bar, to the lounge area- little improvement. As connectivity is essential these days, when travelling, I wouldn't stay there again.On the beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon we were down enjoying the pool.There were quite about a dozen or more down there relaxing in the sun. Not for long, because the next minute two gardeners turned up & we had the full-blown whipper snipper going...with the mower man following in is footsteps. There is a large garden area so it was going to go on for some time. At first I thought 'fair enough, they have to do it some time,' but when I thought more about it, realised that most hotels in Sorrento don't even have lawn. They need to do it before noon , or much later.Some Italians near us,in Sorrento for their weekend,were really annoyed. We stayed a while, then left,as most others did

Good location, very central and easy to get around

We stayed here for a night whilst travelling the Amalfi Coast, having come from Positano and Amalfi, Sorrento was very different - it's big city with no beach. The hotel was very centrally location from the Port and Train station and main strip. We had some issues when checking in where our room wasn't ready so we had to wait, we were told our luggage would be put in storage until we had come back but it was still sitting around in the middle of the foyer... And we weren't offered any compensation either.

Lovely hotel, great location

Lovely clean fresh hotel within 50 meters of the main square in Sorrento. The swimming pool is lovely and relaxing and has a pretty garden and trees. Location is great. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again .
