Old and not clean hotel

I had 3 days in the hotel. The good things: close to Tianamen square and food street. Staff is OK. One guy, his name is Bill, is very friendly, but others are not. Room is too old and dank. Wall and Toilet are mould. Towels are old and teared. I think the hotel should be upgraded .

Do not stay!!

This hotel was disgusting. Beds were hard and matress was stained, the shower pressure was terrible and it wets the toilet, the toilet got clogged twice, room service came only once when we stayed 5 nights. Only one mirror. The only good thing is the location! But would rather pay more for a decent hotel. Definitely wouldn't recommend or stay again. They have 2 cute cats though.

Located near lots of local food restaurants.

First impression of the hotel was that it was a traditional Chinese design. Rooms were quite small and bathroom wasn't great, found a cigarette in the toilet on arrival. Also they have creepy cats which live around inside the hotel. Also it is located down an alley which isn't pleasant to walk down during the evening on your own. Security of the rooms was very good though. And the local food in the area was great. Recommend for tourists and foodies but would not stay there for more than a couple of nights.

Location the only plus

First, the hotel didn't have my booking and put us in a room with a double bed instead of twin beds. No compensation was offered for the fact that this was a cheaper room. The bed didn't have an actual mattress, just a pile of blankets, and was incredibly uncomfortable, even by Chinese standards. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and the position of the shower meant the entire bathroom got flooded every time I showered. Also, the alley on which the hotel is located at night is full of adult shops - it's not seedy or unsafe, but something worth mentioning. Apart from that though, the location is really great, only 10-15 mins walk from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and 20 from Wangfujing street. It is 5 mins from Qianmen station which is on the central subway line.

Excellent location

Excellent location a short distance from subway and Qianem shopping street. Walking distance from Forbidden City and Tiannem Square. Lots of restaurants,shopping and banks close by. Hotel had lots of character and potential, but staff, although fluent in English were somewhat dis-interested and lacking in enthusiasm. Room (we had a suite) was adequate, but bathroom was a bit like those on the Halong Bay junk boats, small and impossible to use toilet and shower at the same time. No safe or safety deposit boxes available and no fridge in room. Kettle in room, but no tea bags, coffee or water supplied.......Would I stay here again......maybe,..... but I definitely think there would be better (authentic) hotels around with better facilities

Great location great place to stay

Fantastic place to stay with helpful friendly staff. The location is perfect for seeing the sights and very close to the metro which will take you all over the city for 2 yuan. Would recommend it to anyone for a value for money comfy retreat in the heart of Beijing

Great location

The reason we chose this hotel was for its location, which turned out as excellent. It is fairly close to a train station, right next to qianmen street where you can do some shopping. We also walked to tiananmen square and the forbidden city from here as well as the Temple of Heaven. The surrounding area has nice small restaurants and a few little bars hidden away. The room we had was adequate. The bed was very hard, the shower was just a shower head in the bathroom, no enclosure. The servicing of the rooms was quite late in the afternoon (like 4pm or so) which was a bit annoying. The service was nice and friendly, the bar downstairs was a nice place to relax and have a drink. I get the feeling they try to make some money from organising stuff for you (when we asked for a cab, they gave us an upfront price instead of just calling a cab, which we did not take and got a cab ourselves which was a bit cheaper). There is a nice cat there, which had kittens while we were staying :)

Basic but well located.

The location is excellent which is the main reason we chose this hotel. The standard rooms are very small. The position of the shower in the en suite bathroom leaves the whole floor wet. Restaurant menu selection had both Western and Asian choices. Staff speak Chinese and English which was helpful.

Die Lage ist super. Inmitten eines Hutongs. Restaurants, Geschäfte und 2 U-Bahnstationen sind im unmittelbarer Nähe. TianAnMen-Platz und Verbote Stadt auch. Das Hotel besteht aus 2 Innenhöfen um die die Zimmer platziert sind. Kein Luxus, aber eine günstige Möglichkeit im Zentrum Pekings zu übernachten. Ich werde wieder hier übernachten...

CP值高的酒店

房間乾淨、服務良好、環境安靜、價格適中，地點離大柵欄商業街很近，是購物和品嘗美食首選；樓高三層，沒電梯是美中不足之處，但附近都是這樣的胡同與樓高，CP算高，值得推薦。
