Great Location

We made two different bookings and stayed in two different rooms. The first room was a standard which was quite small and had a kitchenette and a shower capsule in with the toilet. We then stayed in an executive room which was much more spacious, better presented with a comfortable sized tiled bathroom and a kitchenette behind bifold doors. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location was superb - amongst quality residences, tree lined streets and minutes away from Gloucester Road tube station and cafés.

Terrible experience. Wouldn't go back.

Stayed for 6 nights. Cold showers for three nights. WiFi not working for the majority of the stay as the system appears to be overloaded. Could deal with the beds not being very comfortable if the basics of wifi and warm showers actually worked. Was told that I would be contacted after the stay and offered a refund, but that this might not be possible because I booked through Expedia. Have not received any contact from hotel management as promised. Terrible experience. Would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Nice part of London, close to Gloucester Rd tube

Good to experience London in an apartment, living like a local. Nice part of town and close to Gloucester Rd tube station. Staff were friendly, but room was small and run down. Could do with a make-over. Could hear the person next door practising piano at 7am!

Great location but very basic.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, close to Gloucester Road shops and cafés. Very small room and tiny bathroom. Much like student accommodation, but not student prices!

Great location

Fantastic location - so close to transport or for walking to places of interest. Kitchen was small but manageable, just. Will stay there again if the opportunity comes again.

Good location...very small bathroom

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff helpful. The bathroom was tiny (we thought the bathroom we had on a cruise a couple of years ago was bigger) which was a little uncomfortable. I think it is important to note, that overall we found the bathrooms/showers small during a travels in Europe, it was just that this one was the smallest. The shower was hot though! Excellent location in a quiet street, <10min flat walk from Gloucester Rd tube station. A couple of nice pubs close provide reasonably priced food options. It was 4 flights of stairs up to the room and no lift available. The kitchenette would be a bonus for some.

Mountain of stairs

Upon arrival I found that my apartment was on the 5th floor with no lift and while the reception was most apologetic, there was nothing they could about it! On the booking web site there was NO mention of this difficulty and as I was travelling through London and has a large suitcase, I had to carry all my luggage without any help from the management as there was only 1 person on duty. Had I been made aware of the stairs situation I would never had booked this accommodation.

Clean, nice and well located

We really enjoyed Astons Apartments. It's only 4 minutes away from Gloucester Road station, the hotel and apartments are very clean and nice and the kitchenette was perfect for us. We will come back!

Our stay

We'd stayed 5 nights, twin beds. Expected the 'no lift' but thought only 3 flights of stairs but they have split levels and our room was located after the 6th set of stairs so be prepared. Room was small - may be due to the tiny twin beds. Bathroom is very small - kind of shower and toilet combo and a bit of an effort to flush toilet. Location is good though, quiet neighborhood and 5mins walk to tube station. Would recommend for fit solo or student travellers requiring kitchenette.

Would use Astons again

Although the room was small, it was serviced daily, and staff were lovely and helpful. A very convenient location...close to Gloucester Rd Tube, Waitross and Tesco supermarkets. Lovely quiet street. Paid for WiFi in room which always worked. TV perhaps a little small. Would recommend and use again.

Great base in London

The building is in a pleasant street and is close to supermarkets, a Tube station, bus stops, and other facilities, such as restaurants and a post office. Staff were friendly and helpful at checkin and checkout. My basic single room had all I needed for a few days in London, and was clean and bright. I noticed larger rooms for two or more people, that had more floor space but still the same basic decor. The cupboard kitchen was equipped with small fridge, sink, microwave, and two burners, plus all the basic cooking utensils needed. The bathroom was capsule style, but was clean and adequate. I didn't expect a large luxurious room, but was very happy with the Aston's room. Only drawback was that the room was at the top of the house, under the roof, and in a London heatwave, was quite warm, even at night. However, it did mean my hand washing - hung on the shower rail - dried quickly. I would recommend this hotel for its location and good value for money in an expensive city.

London Stay

We were relocated from Ashton Apartments to the Mayflower Hotel. We stayed at the apartments around the corner from the hotel. The location was excellent, steps from the Earl's Court Underground Station. The rooms were spacious with a sitting area, bedroom, and bathroom. The rooms showed their age, but for the price they were fine. Fresh towels were provided each day (6 day stay), and the neighborhood had several fine places to dine. Would highly recommend the Bistro Benito if you like authentic Italian cuisine.

Fin service, men med verdens verste madrasser.

God service og trivelig omgivelser. Jeg klarte derimot å få låsning i rygg og nakke grunnet madrassene. Det er ikke mye tid å bruke på selve rommet i en by som London, men madrassen er viktig synes jeg da.

Knappast en lägenhet

Aston Apartments ligger på en stillsam gata tio minuter från två Undergroundstationer. Det är okej, om man vill ha det lugnt. Personalen var mycket vänlig och hjälpsam, så man vill ju inte klaga. Men för ordningens skull - "apartment"? Hur definieras egentligen en lägenhet? Vi fick ett hotellrum med en kokplatta inne i ett skåp och ett litet kylskåp. Vi har tidigare bott i större rum med större "kitchenettes" och som har definierats som hotellrum. När vi nu bokade en "apartment" hade vi väntat oss något som var större än ett litet hotellrum. Möjligen är vi okunniga, men definitionerna av "room" och "apartment" borde vara tydligare.

Posizione ottimale. Hotel non all'altezza

A fronte di una posizione centrale e comoda per raggiungere ogni destinazione, ci siamo trovati in un hotel dove la pulizia e l'aspetto interno lasciano un po' a desiderare. Elegante la zona, non l'hotel. In particolare quello che doveva essere un mini appartamento con cinque posti letto si ė rivelata una sistemazione approssimativa e scomoda, collocata in un seminterrato sotto il livello strada. Va tuttavia precisato che alla nostra obiezione ci è stata data una camera aggiuntiva senza costi, solo questo risvolto ci permette di essere più indulgenti nel giudizio. Insomma, una realtà un po' diversa da come viene presentata nel sito, almeno per le camere che sono state assegnate a noi. In conclusione non adatto certamente per una famiglia con tre figli.

Sistemazione strategica

A pochi passi da due stazioni della metro che ti permettono di raggiungere facilmente i principali luoghi di interesse,situato in uno dei quartieri più tranquilli e ben frequentati di Londra .Le camere sono essenziali. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia, vi avviso di non lasciar cadere nieanche una briciola a terra perché li rimane! E non parliamo della pulizia del bagno!!!!Dunque quando arrivate andate da Tesco supermarket e comprate un po' di detersivo!!!
