The property is situated on Walney Island which offers miles of sandy beaches which are a draw to walkers, paddlers and kite surfers alike. Additionally, there are 2 nature reserves where you can see a variety of wildlife including seals. A short 5-minute drive takes you to Barrow in Furness with a variety of shops, and is probably best known for its docks which build submarines for the Royal Navy. More details of the dock’s historic past can be uncovered at the nearby Dock Museum. A further 15-minute drive and you arrive in the charming market town of Ulverston with its cobbled streets, superb selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
