Private West-Coast Inspired Cabin in the Woods
Please ensure you read the bottom paragraph before booking our cabin. Our cabin is a west coast inspired private cabin on over half an acre of beautifully forested land bordering a provincial park.
Open some wine and relax indoors by a wood stove looking through our large windows to the trees, or sit outside on our large deck and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the the wind in the trees. If you are looking for some quiet time away from the city this is the place….we always find it so hard to leave!
A beautiful quiet 5-10 minute (depending on your hiking speed) forest trail takes you to the ocean to watch sunsets, trail-run, hike, kayak, swim & fish. Our cabin promises to give you a true taste of the "Coast Life"!
Please note - our cabin is for families only or smallish groups 2-4) looking to unwind and relax. We love our neighbours and there is no option for loud grounds here. Please write us with any questions on this prior to booking as we are strict due to respect for our neighbours. Appreciate the understanding.

We stayed at this Madeira Park Home with our kids and grandkids for a week. The house is well laid out and was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The proximity to park trails is excellent.
We had such a wonderful stay! The place is so spacious, beautiful and comfortable. Very well equipped. Not missing a thing. Communication with the host was excellent. Would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was great with a nice big kitchen to cook in and the Madeira Park area in particular is beautiful. Would recommend! :-)

Short trip
Great friends trip. Place was clean, bright and spacious. The one bedroom was bright in the morning as the sky light doesnt have a a cover. We also didny realize how close/ surrounded by neighbors the cabin is. Great locatuoncto beaches and exploring. Had a great time!
Had a fantastic time here, short walk to trails and beautiful coastal lookouts. The cabin is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. Rob was super helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It’s a lovely home in a beautiful setting. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and the big deck was a great place to relax and bird watch! We would definitely come back!
Fantastic stay, everything was easy, made some epic dinners and family time. The location is perfect hiking and there is lots to discover. Got the wood stove dialed on and was great for the couple days of rain. Love the area and we enjoy this coast. Thanks a million for making it so easy.
Lovely spacious house with comfortable beds. With a few improvements I would have given it 5 stars- curtains in one of the upstairs bedrooms, clean barbecue and frying pans, better equipped kitchen and wine glasses for all. Don’t miss going to the closet beach and walking out to the beacon!
My family and I had a great time at this secluded cabin. Beds were all comfortable and sheets were great quality, which is rare for a VRBO listing. The upstairs shared room was very hot, a couple more fans would have been helpful. Also a slight inconvenience is that you have to take your own garbage out and bring it home with you. The walk to the water is around 10 minutes, with some up/down in the trail that feels more than your average casual walk. The location was great for a trail walk/run, saw a pod of whales and the neighbours were friendly.as well.
Fantastic! We stayed for 5 days with our son and his 3 kids all under age four. The house was so tidy when we arrived, with lots of comfy beds to choose from. Plenty of room for us to cook together with lots of table room in the dining room. The patio deck was a great place to sit and watch the kids play in the yard. Close to the beach/trails. Rob was a terrific host and we all enjoyed our stay!
Lovely, clean property with plenty of sleeping spaces for our family of 6 adults. Comfy beds and bedding though 2 of the beds (5 plus a dbl/sgl bunk available) are starting to sag a little in the middle. Quiet. A few minutes walk to Francis Peninsula with great views, moderate hike and sheltered rocky beach. Well appointed kitchen and large expandable table.
Within 30 mins of Sechelt and Egmont and 20 mins from Smuggler Cove. Great food when we didn’t cook at the Grasshopper Pub a few minutes away.
Host was responsive and quickly arranged for a pick up of a forgotten item. Would stay there again.

Very quiet and clean house. Lots of storage through out the house. Very good kitchen appliances and lots of kitchen wares.
BBQ is a little bit old and needs replacement.
No blind and shade over two skylights which are on top of one bedroom.
Only two bathrooms for 10 people seems not enough.
We were 4 adults on our short vacation. In this house we had everything. The only one problem is a garbage. Statement “ take with you” doesn’t solve the problem. Take where? To Vancouver?
The rest was perfect and very comfortable.
Thanks Rob.

Clean, well situated and modern house
The house was easy to find and fantastically located: quiet and remote with lots of modern amenities, awesome kitchen and eating space and a nice small lounge which meant parents and kids could easily socialize and play. Nice big spacious deck with chairs and bbq was also well used.
Luckily the kids are a little older else done things people may want to be aware of (E.g. No rails in deck) but a lot of this is self evident from the pictures. Rob was extremely responsive to the one message I sent, with a new bbq brush turning up the next day! Would definitely recommend and stay again.
My husband and I spent a week at this cabin along with our twenty-something sons and their partners, and all we had a great time.
I don't think the photos do justice to the cabin, as it was larger than we expected, roomy enough for 11 people to sleep, so we may bring other family members the next time we visit.
We loved that we were able to sit on the deck under the trees and read or play board games. The kids often went to the swimming cove, which is around a ten-minute walk away, and we all explored the nearby trails. I was able to walk the loop around the upper penisula every morning, and the views were amazing. A highlight of our trip was Baker Beach, which is a large, sandy beach only a 5-minute drive away from the cabin.
Although we're accustomed to taking our recycling with us when we stay at VRBO properties on the Sunshine Coast, disposing of our own garbage was a bit trickier, as we didn't initially realize we'd need to separate the compostable items.
Still, we had a wonderful stay overall and would highly recommend this hidden gem in the forest.
We were so comfortable and felt right at home in this cozy space.
So many great things to say about this property! A truly complete kitchen with excellent appliances and all you could need. Lots of space and very well laid out. The beds were comfy and there were many options and places to sleep. Really lovely location, and excellent hosts. We hope to stay here again!
The home was very cozy and comfortable. It was nice being so close to a trail. The kitchen was well equipped. Great place to stay.
