Sand Castle Suite is situated directly on the pristine Atlantic Ocean waters of the Prospect Peninsula, Prospect, a short half hour drive from Halifax, along the Lighthouse Route #333, on the way to the world famous Peggy’s Cove, a short half hour away.

Sand Castle Suite is a one bedroom architecturally designed, environmentally sensitive, indoor, non smoking haven. In 2018 we substantially upgraded the Sand Castle Suite for $35,000.00+. The decor is “Beach House or Coastal Style”.

Guests have a private entrance to the 700 square foot Sand Castle Suite. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed, bought in the spring 2018, from which you can view the ocean through floor to ceilings windows in front of bed.

Additionally there is a 54” fold out futon and an armchair which folds out to a single sleeping unit, both bought in the spring 2018. Sand Castle Suite can accommodate a maximum of five people.

We offer a well equipped kitchen, there is a brand new countertop, a brand new sink, full size 24 inch fridge/freezer, under counter bar fridge, coffee maker, a 4 slice toaster, a large convection oven, a microwave oven, and 2 large convection countertop oven/fryers.

Breakfast ingredients are provided in the Suite for guests to make their own breakfast.

There is a spacious living room and dining room.

There is a Heat Pump keeping you toasty warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

We have newly refinished wood floors, a private covered deck, propane BBQ, full service cable television, stereo radio, super service wifi, CD player, and a air tight wood stove.

We feature our own private sand and stone beach, 125’ wharf, where you can sit and watch time go by, and Frank’s Boat House, with a deck, for your use. It is only 75 feet from your door to the crystal ocean waters of Shad Bay.

We have a concrete block fire pit installed in August 2020, so you and your guests can go down and use it, at your convenience.

Our water is treated and inspected twice yearly. The Sand Castle Suite is outfitted with fire, smoke and CO alarms for your safety.

Oceanfront Paradise!

We recently stayed at Sand Castle Suite during our first ever visit to the east coast of Canada. It did not dissapoint! The property and the suite are so lovely! It was the perfect location to get to many interesting places, and a very short drive to halifax. Clary was very attentive and a lovely fellow to talk to. And the deck looking at the bay was my favourite place for coffee and a book! We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area 😊

Paradise in Prospect Bay

This B&B was perfect! We spent our days exploring Nova Scotia, then back to what felt like home. The evenings spent on the deck by the water watching the sunset was just what we needed. The hosts made communications easy and were readily available if needed! I highly recommend a stay at this wonderful B&B!

Hidden Gem That Is Heaven On Earth.

We booked our stay at Christmas for my husband's 50th Birthday. We booked for Canada Day for nine incredible days. Clary and Cheryl the host's opened their spectacular home to us and the views are nothing you could ever imagine. The pictures on their site do not do their incredible B & B justice. It is spectacular. From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out.We were more made to feel like family and not a guest. Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove are a must. If you are looking for tours we recommend Trott tours in Lunenburg, it is a horse carriage that run tours around the town, giving you the history back to the 1800's. As well the Lunenburg whale watching tour. We did apx 3.5 to 4 hour around the bay and had a great day. We loved our stay so much that we didn't want to leave, but we definitely will be back. We highly recommend The Sand Castle Inn.

Outstanding property

This property is absolutely beautiful. It was a treat to wake up to the soaring views of the ocean. The suite was immaculate, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Clary and Cheryl are excellent hosts and have put a lot of thought and effort to make this a wonderful getaway.

Sand castle

I don’t think we can say enough about sand castle at Prospect Bay. It was lovely and our hosts. Clary and Cheryl were the best. Wonderful waterfront cottage

We really enjoyed staying at the Sandcastle B&B. The suite is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The view from the bedroom in the morning when you wake up is so pretty. So nice to wake up to an ocean view. Clary and Cheryl are ready to make your stay enjoyable.

Fabulous Setting

This property is a paradise. I sat on the covered porch or down by the water on the beach house deck most of my time there. Easy access to Halifax and Dartmouth. The kitchen is well equipped, and the unit is lovely- clean and cozy. Cheryl and Clary are extremely kind and considerate. I’m looking forward to returning in a month.

Picture Perfect

My wife and I were privileged to use the Sandcastle Suite as home base here in late October through early November. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable in a wonderful neighborhood. Communication with the Flemmings pre arrival was excellent and they did all they could to ensure our stay was a memorable one, what a great couple! Thanks Clary and Cheryl for hosting us on our first trip to Nova Scotia, we throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Perfection!

Clay and Cheryl were the most thoughtful and generous hosts! They have put so much thought and effort into their beautiful home, making it a perfect away from home for their guests! A little piece of heaven!

Sand Castle suite is a wonderful place to stay. Such a treat to wake up to the view of the bay. The suite is spotless and is filled with many touches that make you feel at home. Lovely property

Enjoyed meeting Clary and Cheryl and having a relaxing time at their Sandcastle B and B. The suite was immaculately clean and fresh with staples in the fridge, internet, tv, and west facing ocean frontage for wonderful sunsets. The owners were very attentive and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this spot…….. and it is soooo quiet!

Wonderful little getaway

My husband and I have a tradition of taking a little NS vacation on the week of our wedding anniversary (this was our fifth) and first time experiencing a B&B. The hosts were amazing. So many little special touches. The property is absolutely beautiful and we felt completely at ease and welcome to use the lovely yard/dock. We entertained family and had a great time jumping off the dock. I thoroughly enjoyed the view and the calming sounds of the surf. Read a great book and just enjoyed. Highly recommend

Stunning views

Beautiful property! We so enjoyed the outside space- sitting on the covered back deck watching the fabulous view, reading on the dock, eating meals on the new oceanside deck, roasting marshmallows in the new fire pit while watching impressive sunsets. We loved the surrounding area; hiked the High Head trail, walked the SS Atlantic trail and explored Terrance Bay and it's crystal clear beach. The Sandcastle Suite was a perfect spot to return to after our outings. It had a bright and peaceful feel and was so beautifully decorated with Cheryl's landscape paintings. A restorative 5 day getaway!

Get away... but not too far away

Clary and Cheryl are the perfect hosts and the suite is a gem! From the delicious bottle of wine from our hosts, to sitting on the dock and watching the sun set, our stay was simply wonderful. The property is situated on a very quiet cul-de-sac away from any hustle and bustle, but only 30 minutes from Halifax. Other lovely coastal communities are also just a short drive away. Be sure to hike the High Head Trail (4 minutes away), you will not be disappointed by the splendid ocean views. This is a great place to find serenity!

Spectacular

Our stay at the Sandcastle B&B was outstanding and Clary and Cheryl were super hosts. This two room B&B was beautifully decorated, the new kitchen was very equipped, and the king size bed was the most comfortable of our 52 day, 26 different bed trip. And best of all was the views from our B&B, the boathouse and the deck. Outstanding!!
