Royston Roost in Courtenay!

Brand new beautiful luxury suite located on 2 private acres. Our suite has a new queen size bed, small couch to watch tv, stocked kitchenette (bar fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, stove burner (no oven), dishes, and assorted cutlery. We have a bistro table and 2 stools in the kitchenette, 4 piece bathroom, with a free standing soaker tub, double sinks, large shower, and private deck over looking the gorgeous Beaufort mountain range. The suite has its own heat and air conditional system so you control your temperature. Private entrance and plenty of space to securely store your mountain bikes, kayaks, etc. Walking distance to beach, local Pub, historical Railway walking trail, and minutes to mountain biking and other great amenities.

Very cute, clean suite. When the a/c wouldnt work, scott was quick to remedy the problem. Comfortable bed and awesome sheets. I do love the feel of good sheets!

Great stay at The Roost

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Royston Roost. The suite is tastefully decorated and everything is in pristine condition. The view from our private balcony was beautiful and peaceful. Laurie and Scott were wonderful hosts and always available to answer questions. We loved all their pets and appreciated the free range eggs. We look forward to our next visit!

Very cute accommodation!!

We’ve stayed here before and love how peaceful the area is. Lovely house and we enjoy being greeted by the chickens. Royston is very close to Cumberland, Comox and Courtney and is a beautiful area.

Royston Roost

Property was extremely well maintained and the unit was impeccably neat and tidy. Stairs into the unit could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. All queries were answered in a spontaneous fashion. The eggs in the fridge, owners chickens, were a nice touch. We would go back again without hesitation.

Lovely quiet acreage close to several trails

The hosts arm welcoming and the property is well maintained. The room looks out on several quiet acreages with budding green trees and a mountain range in the distance. I enjoyed walking on several trails in the area. Eggs in the fridge from the hosts' chickens were a nice treat. The bathroom and bed were comfortable and I like being able to control my own heating. One suggestion would be to remove describing the unit as having a dining room. The kitchenette is small and I ended up eating in the living room/bedroom. Other than that detail, I enjoyed my stay and the location worked out well for me.

Great expectations and wonderful experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, starting with the fresh eggs donated by our admirable owners. It’s a well designed and furnished property with mountain views from its balcony. In addition to the Royston pub, coffee house and beach, the area is lovely with lots of things to do.

Lovely, quiet getaway!

The property was easy to find, the communications with the hosts was quick and easy, too! The accommodations were wonderful, and felt very welcoming! The whole place was impeccably clean, with sanitizer and cleaner out for when we needed! There were fresh eggs from their chickens and fresh cream for coffee and all the things we might need for a quick brekkie! If we ever want to hang out in the Comox valley again, we will be back!

Great place to stay. Lots of room with a great setup. Very private. Laurie and Scott were always available through chat on VRBO. They left phone numbers too, but we didn't need them. Relaxing in Royston

A tranquil setting. Clean and well equipped … perfect for Comox Valley getaway. And we were even able to store our bikes and golf clubs! Laurie and Scott were very welcoming and helpful. 😀👍

Relaxing Retreat!

What a welcoming and beautiful vrbo! The hosts were outstanding--no wonder they are superhosts: they were available if we needed anything, otherwise left us in the privacy of our top floor suite with its charming balcony and huge luxurious bathroom. The bedroom was very comfortable, and the small kitchenette was incredibly functional, having everything we needed to prepare meals . We loved listening to the birds and admiring the view! It was perfect to de-stress, just as we had dreamed of!

Royston Roost Getaway

My partner and I had a wonderful stay on this cute property in Royston. The community is sweet and small - you really get the feeling of being in the country - but the property is just moments from major thoroughfares and amenities in the Comox Valley, which made it a great base for exploring the east coast of the island and skiing at Mt. Washington. The suite was really wonderful - pleasantly decorated (this may be one of the only vacation rentals on the island that doesn’t lean aggressively on a nautical theme!) and really cosy to spend a weekend in! The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook ourselves some nice meals despite being a small space: there is a two-burner hot plate, a sizeable toaster oven, and plenty of pots and pans. After forgetting a few supplies, we were delighted to find oil, spices, and tasty eggs from our hosts’ hens. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the soaker tub was glorious after a couple days of skiing at Mt. Washington. Our hosts Laurie and Scott provided extremely clear directions and check in details, as well as great recommendations for the local area. They were super friendly and lovely to chat to as we were packing up our car; I really got the sense that if you were looking for insider knowledge of trail systems or cool places to explore that they would be a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend this lovely vrbo!
