The bigger pool heated of Tortuga Bay (84 F, 50x17 ft, 15x5 m) with 2 fountains. Sitting areas in the pool with jets to relax the day away. Volleyball net in pool for sports enthusiants.

Outdoor movie screen and sound system. The screen can be seen from the pool, lower terrace and upper terrace.

Beautiful villa, great location, and wonderful staff!

This villa is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed for a week with our 3 adult children, their spouses, and our 2 grandchildren ages 2 and 5. Everyone loved it and had a great time! The air conditioning in all of the bedrooms worked well. The staff included one chef and 2 housekeeping ladies that also did all the serving as well as cleaning and were all wonderful! The pool was beautiful and there was also a nice yard for the kids to play. The screen overlooking the pool was amazing. We used it every night. The arrival/checkin all went smoothly. The driver was at the airport waiting for us. They provided a car seat and booster seat for our 2 grandchildren. We rented 2 golf carts to get around the area. We played pickleball, visited several beaches, the ecological park where we could walk the trails and swim in the lagoons for $10. There was also a playground and small petting zoo. We really enjoyed all the food prepared by our chef. The only thing to mention is the owner had assured us they can accommodate a vegan diet for 4 of us, but we quickly realized that the chef did not know what a vegan diet is (as opposed to vegetarian). We had to make a trip to the grocery store to buy products that were vegan. It was easy to find lots of vegan products at the store. After that everything worked out great and we were extremely happy with the food prepared by the chef and the presentation was beautiful! We loved our week at the villa! I’d love to stay here again! Highly recommend!!

All we had hoped for!

Our family stayed at the Sunshine Villa for a week and our experience was perfect. The community location is very safe and we liked that it was so close to the airport. The property was just phenomenal and the staff superb! We ate out one night at YOLA and that also was well worth it. But - our in-house chef Antony made us amazing meals and the staff - the two "A"s - Anna and - sorry cannot spell our other staff 's name - but they were terrific. We loved the paella, the pasta, the chicken, the tacos - thank you, We had a wonderful time. Manuel was helpful and the owner Olivier was there upon arrival to ensure a smooth check in. The property was perfect for our family vacation - private, safe and we loved that all the baby things were provided to help us with our stay. We rented the golf cart and that is must to get around. We also golfed 1 day- course was amazing. The ecological reserve nearby is also a must- accessible by golf cart! Thank you for letting us use your beautiful house for a while. For any guest planning to go - don't hesitate but do not spend too much time on the menus that are sent in advance. The approach to food is very flexible and staff will work with you to prepare. I would also next time, only do an initial small grocery order and work with the chef and manuel to plan the grocery trip based on what we want for the the rest of the week.

An amazing week!!

We had a fantastic week staying at the Sunshine Villa. We were 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 5-10) and it was just perfect. Everything was as beautiful as in the pictures and the food was amazing. Leny provided us some sample menus but what the chef made for us was far more exciting and delicious! Filet mignon, lobster, paella, options for the kids, etc. We mostly used the Weston facilities for the beach and they were perfect for our group. I never want to go to a resort again after this wonderful experience! 10/10!!

Amazing villa and experience

We were two families travelling together as a group of eight...four adults and four kids aged 3-11. This was our first time staying at a villa like this, and we couldn't have been happier. Before our trip had even begun, Leny (the villa owner) was incredibly helpful in answering all of my many questions about the villa, food options, resort amenities, etc. Once we arrived in Punta Cana, the pick-up process from the airport (shuttle provided) was seamless and just so easy. Manuel - the villa manager - greeted us as we pulled up to the house, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The food, prepared by our chef Joel, was excellent and tailored for our families...and Rena made sure the house was kept spotless and that we had fresh towels/laundry daily. They were both absolutely wonderful with the kids. As for the villa itself...it was better than we could have imagined. The pool is huge, the outdoor speakers were great for playing music throughout the day, there are outdoor loungers/couches everywhere, and we streamed movies for the kids and sports for the adults on the outdoor projector in the evenings while swimming (absolutely incredible). We also spent a lot of time at the many beautiful beaches available to guests, and took advantage of the natural lagoons nearby. I honestly wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone, and we will almost certainly go back for a return visit.

Great trip!

We had 2 families with 9 people including 5 teenage girls. The house and pool area was spacious with many seating areas in the sun and shade. The staff was friendly and provided a very high service level. Make sure to get golf carts and visit the other restaurants and properties in the Punta Cana Resort. Overall lots of fun, very safe and would recommend this to others.

Look no further!

This experience was top-notch from the moment we booked the Villa! Leny was extremely proactive regarding transportation, necessary documents, grocery list, and excursions before we arrived. We were greeted by the house staff and property manager, Manuel, as soon as we walked in the villa. Ultra clean, ultra courteous, and ultra accommodating! Trust me…you will not be disappointed with this VIP experience. 5 stars across the board! Thank you for opening up your home….we will 100% be returning!

Best vacation EVER!!

We have stayed at many VRBOs and our stay here has topped them all! Leny was very informative before and during our trip and responded very quickly!Manuel, the house manager, took very good care of us and was able to run to the store for anything we needed at any time!Rafael, the chef cooked all of our meals and they were so delicious!Lucy and Adelina made sure that every request we had was taken care of. They kept the house spotless and did loads of wash for us.The entire trip was amazing! We were so spoiled the entire time. House is huge and spotlessly clean! Highly highly highly recommend.

Sunshine Villa es maravillosa!

We just took our family for a week and it was amazing! The property was every bit as magical as the pictures advertised, but even nicer. So many cozy spots to relax. Sparkiling clean. Great location close to beach, golf and tennis in the golf carts. Beautiful grounds and pool. But two amazing features- outdoor movie screen. But the number one amazing element was the chef team of Rafael, Carmela and Avelina. Three beautiful meals every day - we were so spoiled. The hosts, Olivier and Leny, were excellent communicators, and together with the manager, Manuel, made it a super duper turn key experience. We usually ski at this time of year but if we go for beach, we will go back to Sunshine Villa for sure!

Staff and food 10… the rest 7

This is a luxury property. It is spacious, clean, and inviting. But there are some small things that need repair (front doors paint peeling). You see that immediately so a quick coat of paint will fix. But here’s the rest… The Good: 1. Excellent food, and service from in house staff; 2. Nice rooms, very clean, no bugs inside 3. House was large enough and accommodated our group very well. 4. Transportation to and from airport was sufficient, clean vehicles 5. Neighborhood and resort are beautiful and quiet, ample beaches and entertainment 6. Resort is top tier with many amenities The Bad 1. House manager Manuel very nice, but after 2nd day was MIA; not returning messages about ANYTHING; charged my husband $120 for a 24 pack of Presidente 2. Upstairs bathrooms had no hot water 3. No bedroom TVs worked in the sense of had any sort of programming, living room TV didn’t connect to WiFi so unusable 4. Pool table missing balls - unable to use 5. No FOOSEBALLS - unable to use 6. Green lines on pool projector screen made almost impossible to watch: BIG disappointment 7. Freezers didn’t freeze anything; not enough ice 8. Stray cats came out in droves at night! 9. Pool not clean on arrival day. All in all, we had a decent enough time but could have been better. I wouldn’t rent this house again without knowing if all this had been addressed. Also, the golf cart should be built in. No one is walking that resort in the DR humidity and if you haven’t rented a car you’re SOL

Wonderful!

We traveled with our 3 teenage grandkids and stayed one week. Everything was first-class! The home is exactly as described and the chef (Antonio) and assistants (Adelina and Mari) were excellent. They accommodated our every wish. The property manager Manuel was very accessible. He checked in on us several times to ensure we were having a good stay. We especially enjoyed the pool and watching movies using the outdoor screen. We were pleasantly surprised by the speed of the internet. The golf cart made the beach very accessible. The beaches were breathtakingly beautiful with clear water and clean sand. The entire resort area was very secure and felt very safe. The PUJ airport was also a surprise. It was very modern and extremely well-staffed for both arrival and departure. The Dominican Republic certainly understands the impact of tourism and it's evident they make it a priority.

Awesome Trip!

Everything about this villa is stunning! The staff made our trip absolutely wonderful! From the transfer driver, Mr. Leandro to the manager of the villa, Mr. Manuel to the chef and villa attendants Domingo, Adelina & Marie and finally to our host, Leny! Everything was fabulous and we loved our trip!

WOW! Beyond Grateful!

I had a work trip in DR and I told my wife let's take the family with us. I flew in a few days earlier and stayed at a Hotel since I was working on another side of town. I let the property manager know I wouldn't be there when my family arrived and to please take care of them. They were beyond helpful with accommodating my large family and our 7 month infant along with my 6 year old nephew. My wife couldn't believe the helpfulness after a long 6 hour flight to come into the villa and then me late arrival from work and the staff assisting me with a late dinner. The smiles on my family's faces made the whole thing worth while. We all want to leave reviews because aside from enjoy the beautiful country, the wonderful people, this stay made me want to come back and SPECIFICALLY stay at this villa & hopefully with the same staff. I could write amazing things about the beautiful property, which the pitchers do not do it justice, but the Management team, the maids, the Chief are the reason it all felt like a dream. Thank you Manuel, Adelina, Camelita and Anderson. SUNSHINE D3, We are coming back for sure!

Family Trip

Sunshine villa was amazing for our family trip. Communication leading up to the trip was easy and very helpful. The property itself was as good as advertised. Beautiful yard, pool, and neighborhood. The staff was incredible and the chef was equally as great. We hope to come back!

Best Family Vacation

We stayed at this amazing property with our adult children and grandchildren ranging from 2-7 years old . There was ten of us but the home was spacious and we never felt on top of each other ! The house is in an upscale gated community that is extremely easy to get around by golf carts ! Anna and Patricia took amazing care of my family and the house during our stay ! Domingo, let me just say “chefs kiss” he was so talented ! Every meal was carefully prepared with fresh ingredients. Sushi night was incredible! Who knew sushi was his specialty! The house was spotless and well equipped! Emanuel the house manager was welcoming and knowledgeable. Don’t miss out on all the amenities offered in the community! The massages at the house were a special treat ! The transportation to and from the airport was included, and they were very prompt and professional . Grocery trips after the initial one are $40 even though the grocery store is easily accessible about 10 minutes away by car. We did end up, renting a car and paying less for the car rental then we would have to have the driver bring us to the grocery store and to swim with the dolphins . Even though we were only 10 minutes away from the airport, we were never bothered by airport or plane noise. It was the most relaxing enjoyable family vacation this far ! We are looking forward to returning!

Family Affair

My family had a 7 night stay and it was awesome, everything we hoped for and more. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Chef Charles was fantastic, he cooking was out of this world. I wish I could bring him home with me. We couldn’t get the outdoor screen to work, and the house manger Manuel, tried but couldn’t fix. Hot water was hit or miss, but it was bearable. The Best Family/Friends Vacation

My husband and I travel to the DR quite a bit and we always try somewhere new to stay. This time we selected this home in Punta Cana Resort and we'd agree that to date, it has been our best vacation yet. This home is well situated for young kids. They loved the pool and the movie screen at night. We all enjoyed Chef Francisco's food and the other staff was incredibly helpful. The home is very clean and well maintained. From pick up at the airport, arrival to the home, assistance while we were staying there to return to the airport, this team made everything incredibly easy. This is a home we are excited to go back to very soon. I cannot recommend this home and this team enough!

Never Wanted to Leave!

The overall property and experience was magical! There were different beaches and golfing to choose from, and everyone in my family was happy with all the options! The house was beautiful and well-maintained. The chef and housekeepers were absolutely phenomenal! It really made our trip! We loved Oscar’s cooking so much that we canceled some of our reservations at restaurants so we could eat more of his food! We also ended up extending our stay by two nights because we just didn’t want to go home!

Wonderful experience

We had a fantastic experience at Sunshine Villa. We were originally going to stay at a large resort and we are so thankful we went this route instead. The villa is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The house staff is kind and helpful and the chef is amazing. We enjoyed the access to the beach clubs and those amenities. We can't wait to go back!

Paradise

Wonderful home and staff! Pool and outdoor movie screen provided fun both day and night. Rent golf carts for quick ride to beaches. Don’t miss the lagoons! Everyone great to work with. 85 with blue skies all week. A true paradise.
