We found the cottage clean, great location in the complex. John the host was very quick in responding to questions. The beds very comfortable. We had 8 adults, and 3 children and the house was very comfortable for that amount of people. Thanks john we had a great holiday
We are a group of golf friends that annually get together to honour a lost friend. When we get together, having a place to gather is an essential need. We also want the option of having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The Lakeside Cottage gave us all of that. We hope to be back!
My family was attending a wedding at the cottages. This was a quick walk to both the beach and clubhouse. Several amazing wineries are just up the road as well.
Our family had a great time at the cottage! The layout was fantastic and our kids loved the bunk beds and comfy sofa. My husband was happy the cottage had an office area so he could work and the kids liked the bench seat at the kitchen table. We’d love to come back and stay next summer. Great place!
Lovely home with the added bonus of a pool and a sandy beach within walking distance. We had a wonderful time making new memories in this beautiful home.
This year we stayed a week long. This house was a perfect setup for 2 families. The beds were very comfortable. They provide more than enough towels for usage. The kitchen was great, but in my opinion could use more big pots ( possibly non stick)and mixing bowls. Overall our stay here was amazing.
We wanted to get away from snow and -20 temps. The only downside is that we didn’t know that many local businesses would be closed until spring. No problem though.

Watch out !!! Do not Rent!!!! Hidden Property Rules
We thought this was an amazing property to rent. We abided by all the Listed Rules, setting the dishwasher and laundry of towels before leaving, etc. We were 6 adults with 3 minors for 6 nights from June 1st to June 7 th. We used the bedrooms, bathrooms, pool, hot tub, and bbq. Apparently the bbq, (which was originally placed up against the side of the house) was too close to the window and we used it to bbq steak for dinner every 2nd night of our trip), was too close to the window and burned and melted the window shut (?) (Unconfirmed as they refused us physically checking this fact, we were still in town). We were conversing with the owners to resolve this reasonably, however after no response for a few hours and 10 hours after checking out, were notified through vrbo that were were to be charged the full damage deposit. We will be charged $1,000.00 CAD for apparently bqq’ing too close to the window. I was not going to disclose this in my review but the floors were filthy, we took off our shoes when arrived and our feet were black within a few minutes. We thought maybe it’s the cottage charm? The pool was supposed to be open but the first day we arrived and it was not. That could have been specified before we arrived as we booked this trip at least three months beforehand.
We were told not to move things around in the detailed list of rules. It is not reasonable to assume what temperature ppl bbq at if it’s well within the limits of the bbq. We assume that given the position of the bbq, they were comfortable with the risk it posed to the window or they should have it in a different location or told us to move it while in use or told us not to exceed a certain temperature or the bbq. The bbq was placed at the exact same place as the advertised listing. I don’t believe this is a fair damage charge as even the fine print for this listing includes that we should not move any major furniture, appliances or equipment.
I am an avid traveller and rent hotel rooms, apartments and houses all over the world using different sites and apps. This has by far been the most stringent booking I have ever entered into. I DO NOT recommend entering into a rental contract for this property let alone the owners. This is NOT normal course business.
The cottage was equipped with everything you need-great kitchen for those of us who like to cook. Close to wine and bike touring. Would definitely come again.
This cottage was perfect for our long weekend family get away. It had all the amenities we needed. Plenty of room. Very clean. All in all, a great time was had here!
We loved our stay at this cottage. The house was clean, it was a great location with lots to do for both kids and adults. Comfortable and spacious. Remember to bring your own beach towels as they are not provided with your stay.

Top quality, huge, BBQ and four adirondak chairs on the patio.
A private office/ den is a bonus.
High quality towels and bedding is appreciated.

Wonderful weekend
Truly a much needed break!!! The property is amazing and the hosts are very responsive and on top of everything. Unfortunately due to covid no amenities were available so majorly of time was spent on beach and on green spaces. The entire community is very friendly and safe for kids to roam and explore. The house was perfect and well maintained look forward to booking again in the future!
This is an amazing place to stay at, there isn’t a thing you will want it has it all. The king bed mattress in the bedroom on the main floor is extremely comfortable, the kitchen lacked a couple of things, so we purchased a few things and paid it forward for the next people. I can’t imagine what this place is like during the summer, it must be amazing. You will not regret staying at this VRBO.
We had a wonderful time at The Cottages with our two children, their spouses and our four grandchildren. The home was clean, everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in and plenty of room to move around both inside and out. Really enjoyed the large porch. Weather was perfect!
