About this property

This 2 bed 2 bath new cottage is located walking distance to Hidden Beach. Situated on a large corner lot in Rainbow Bay, it is centrally located on the island and makes exploring both ends of the island equally feasible. The cottage is great for a couple, friends, family, etc to enjoy as a home base for their island vacation.

The living area is great for hanging out on evening home and the kitchen is stocked with all the necessary basics. Bedding, linens, towels, beach towels are included.

You will be a couple of minutes walking to Hidden Beach to listen to the waves and watch the sunrise/

Peyton’s place was great!

Very much enjoyed our month long stay at Peyton’s place. Basic but very comfortable accommodations in beautiful rainbow bay within walking distance of rainbow bay and hidden beach. Excellent communications with host Brianna. Anything that needed to be fixed was fixed within 24 hours. Sorry to see it go off market as we would have loved to come back next year.

Little piece of paradise

This house is a perfect getaway in the quiet community of Rainbow Bay. Relax, or explore... nice central island location. Listen to the ocean on the deck or cool off inside with the A/C and a slushy. Would love to have stayed longer :)

Good Place for a vacation

Peyton Place Is a good Place for a good vacation (situated in the center of eleuthera and at 4km from the supermarket). The nearest beach Is at 1/2 Min from the house and the comuncation with the owner was very good.

Quiet with beautiful ocean view

Peyton Place was clean, we enjoyed our stay. Has great ocean view. Sat on porch many hours watching and listening to crash waves. This is a great place to stay, any issues that come up are handled right away (hot water went out after power outage). If I had to say anything down about the place kitchen stuff, lacking pans for the oven. Great water pressure and hot water.

Just what we needed!

Peyton's Place was very nice. It was clean, spacious enough for the two of us and would have been comfortable with another couple. Had some trouble with wifi, but was resolved eventually. Location was central to most sites. We will definitely come back to Eleuthera! Found all the people to be so nice.

Served our needs perfectly

Eleuthera isn’t for everyone but it’s certainly for me and Peyton’s place was great! Yes the power goes off, yes the internet is slow (if it works), and cell coverage is less than ideal (for most). This is Eleuthera. Peyton’s Place was great! Clean, Private, perfect size for 2 couples. We loved it! Host was very responsive.

It did the job, but not what we expected

I don’t think we had an accurate expectation of Eleuthera. I knew it would be a beautiful, remote place to stay and the cottage would be basic, but it was a little more “roughing it” style than I thought. There were roaches on the floor when we walked in, which is probably on par for the rest of the island. We didn’t have Wi-Fi for the first couple nights which was an adventure since we also didn’t have cell service; we were very off the grid. The host Briana was helpful in fixing the problem. Electric blackouts are somewhat common - we lost power on our last day and couldn’t boil water or make coffee. Also, keep in mind: There’s no oil or salt or seasonings in case you want to cook for yourself. The car we rented was missing a side mirror, had a cracked bumper, and had 230k miles on it haha. All of that said, almost every beach we visited was empty - and not just of people, but of footprints! That’s crazy considering we visited during spring break, the supposed busiest tourist time of the year. These beaches were white sand, so soft to walk on, and absolutely beautiful with gorgeous teal water. Overall, the nature was beautiful and the accommodation conditions (“island life”) certainly kept things interesting. If we came back to the Bahamas, we’d stay on Spanish Wells. It’s cleaner and feels a lot safer for tourists. The island is also more compact and most home rentals come with a golf cart so it’s much easier to get around and you save money on gas/renting a car. We had to drive ~2 hours almost everyday on Eleuthera to get to Genes Bay Dock, the northern attractions like Blue Sapphire Hole, and the Harbour Island ferry.

Great (if short) stay in Rainbow Bay!

House was simple, clean, perfectly located and Briana was great in communicating with me leading up to the trip. She helped me find a rental car when we were cutting it a little close to not having a car rental during high season. Definitely would stay again. Both the proximity to Rainbow Bay and to their sweet local Hidden Beach was amazing.

2023 Feb Trip

Nice location with two local beaches. Cockroaches were a turn off. Housekeeper needs to be attentive to nuances of variety of clients: grease on top of stove where the controls are; batteries should be available for replacement of remote controls; Wi-Fi is not capable to conduct business; master bath needs lighting, the 25 watt ceiling bulb doesn’t give enough light; salt and pepper shakers should be available; microwaveable casserole bowl; hair dryer needs to be available.

Cozy and Comfortable House

Our stay at Peyton’s Place was a comfortable one. Despite the periodic power cuts the house was quite adequate for our needs during our stay. It’s nestled in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood where privacy and seclusion was successfully achieved with most of the properties in the area. We especially enjoyed the pizza and entertainment from the restaurant nearby. There are little to no street lights but the house has outdoor lighting on the front and back patios, along with security cameras. I would recommend adding an internal security lock/latch - for the front and back doors - to allay fears of guests who may be wary of vacation homes with keyed access. I would also suggest that something is placed at the window on the back door to block the view from the outside, in. This was our 3rd stay with these hosts. Melissa and Briana are Fantastic! They’re quite personable, helpful, accommodating and responsive! Also note that the cleaners are prompt. Needless to say, we would definitely stay at one of their properties again.

Perfection

The property is nestled in the lot providing lots of privacy. Its location was perfect as it was close to beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants. If you are looking for a quiet get-a-way; this is your place.

Good time on beautiful Eleuthera

My family and friends had an great time staying at Peyton’s Place. So close to the water you can hear and feel the waves crash against the cliffs. Nice house considering most on the island.

Simple and great

We stayed at peytons place for 2 weeks in June. It was everything we needed— affordable, basic, clean, well located for exploring the island. It’s walking distance to a small Atlantic beach (hidden beach) and a larger Caribbean beach (rainbow bay beach) across the street. Kitchen is well stocked, linens are nice, and Brianna the property manager is a text away. We accidentally messed with the input on the tv and she walked us through how to fix it and said if it didn’t work she’d have someone over the same day. We had a great stay!

Wonderful quiet cabin

Wonderful place with all the peacefulness one could imagine. Great host. Bring a couple extra trash bags, paper towels and such. Just in case. Small price to pay for such a nice stay.
