Hollywood Hills/Laurel Canyon - Wonderful Laurel Canyon Home

Laurel Canyon is one of the most well-known LA neighborhoods for its rich musical history and interesting community. Extremely centrally located, in the heart of Los Angeles, nearby to Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, the Valley and equidistant to almost everything else in the area. Beautiful location, feels like you're far away from the busy City of LA, yet so very close to all of the most popular sights.

This is an entirely private, self-contained and separate two-level space in half of a wonderful Laurel Canyon home. Cool and comfortable upper and lower levels - bedroom and private bathroom on upper level and living room area/kitchenette on lower level. Guests have the entire space and private outdoor patio to themselves (there are no common areas shared with the owner who lives on the property).

In addition to the queen bed upstairs (sleeps 2), there are a number of sleeping options in the downstairs living room area (sleeps 1 adult + 1 child) including a very comfortable sofa (not a pull-out), sleeping pads and futon mattress (both for the floor).

There's a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and hot water kettle. Coffee & tea, bottled water, oatmeal and breakfast bars are provided.

Guests have their own parking space.

Air conditioning, central heat with an additional wall heater downstairs, fans.

Towels, Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash, etc. are provided.

WiFi (very fast and reliable service)

TV with basic cable channels and selected premium streaming subscriptions (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu).

Fire pit (propane gas) on the private outdoor patio.

Perfect hideaway

This awesome gem of a property is hidden away up in Hollywood Hills, in fact it felt like being away in Italy rather than the US as we left all the hustle and bustle behind as we headed uphill, but is still a very short drive to West Hollywood, Hollywood, Beverly Hills etc. The property is very clean and very quiet. It has off street parking and a small private courtyard which is a great sun trap in the afternoons. It’s a perfect couple’s retreat but any additional people will make it a little ‘cosy’ as there is somewhat limited space on the ground floor where they would sleep. The host is very transparent about sleeping options in the property description so read it carefully to ensure it will work for you. Stephen, the host, was extremely helpful and reachable before and throughout our visit. He checked we had everything we needed a few times, but without being intrusive. I would definitely stay here again.

Great vibe in the heart of Laurel Canyon

Funky Spot to Stay

We had been to LA several times and were looking for something a little different and this property was exactly as we had hoped. Located in the Laurel Canyon hills it took you back to the 60s. The local general store a place where musicians gathered to jam and write music. The houses hugging the curved road. So much flavour and history. The property is best suited for two people. My adult daughter joined us and we were able to make up a comfy bed on the floor so it was okay. The other little quirk is that the only running water is in the loft bathroom so you need to take dishes there to be cleaned but it wasn't a big deal. It was great having a parking space and the owner was really responsive. It was a funky place and we really enjoyed it. Paul

Our favorite beautiful, peaceful neighborhood in the middle of everything!

Our host Stephan made everything so easy and we felt like special guests. The home had everything we wanted including a lush peaceful patio. Beautiful. The neighborhood is the heart of music history and there is much to see. You can walk for coffee and take gorgeous street walks for hours . Stephan provides books , suggestions and ideas . It made the trip for us. Thank you!!!!😊

Great Stay in Laurel Canyon (LA)

Beautiful Treehouse!

I have literally had the property as the background on my office computer since returning home. My kids and I loved it there so much. It was a beautiful way to end the crazy days. I will absolutely be back!

This was a great find! We have traveled out to LA to visit family the past four years. We always stay at a VRBO and this one was everything we needed. Great location, rustic, comfortable and private. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. You are close to everything.

Very Communicative host

Super beautiful property at the top of Laurel Canyon. Wonderful host in a perfectly sized apartment in the back of a home. I am consistently in the Los Angeles area and this central location is perfect for my needs. I believe the host, Stephen, is very intuitive in the needs of his guests. I did worry that my ins and outs being at early morning and late night, at times may have been inconvenient to my host but am grateful for the stay.

Hollywood experience

Host Stephen is a great person, friendly and empathetic. He makes sure guest runs into no trouble. Accommodation is suffice for 3 adults, has enough linen and beds. Rooms have the Hollywood atmosphere.Not very far from Universal Studios, roughly 6miles.Have good dining spots close by (Sunset Plaza)Travellers must have a car to commute as this property is on the hill.

Great property and locatiom

The property is adorable, we felt like we were in a tree house. Laurel canyon is so cute and quiet and it was great that we had our own parking spot. Location was close to everything and yet felt like a hidden hippie dreamland. Host was great. Very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Quiet Hollywood Hills Escape

We had a great stay here! The host was super accommodating to all our needs and very attentive to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Perfect, quiet escape from the busy downtown area yet a quick drive to the Blvd. Would love to stay here again if we have the opportunity.

I enjoy the outdoors and working on my house. I work as an attorney for a small law firm in downtown LA. I've been a Superhost on [another short-term rental site] for nearly 4 years with many 5 star reviews (which I'd be happy to share with you), and am thrilled to be on this terrific platform, too.
