Long View is a 3 bedroom home with sweeping ocean views! The house can comfortably accommodate 7 guests with three bedrooms and an open living space including a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room. In addition to the full bathroom in the home there is a private outdoor shower on the side of the house.
The spacious back deck offers views of the ocean and salt pond adjacent to the home. The deck has a gas grill and comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy lounging and dining.
Guests will have access to the walk-in basement to store large items such as beach chairs, kayaks and bikes!

The house is located on Ocean Ave in Matunuck, RI. From the home you are walking distance to East Matunuck State Beach and Deep Hole Fishing Area - known for it's surf break! Local businesses close to the home include a small market with full deli, farm stand, ice cream shop, surf shop, pizza place, laundry mat and two restaurant bars with ocean views and live entertainment.

Perfect Location

We love the house! It was the perfect size for 5 of us visiting our son/brother/friend who is a student at URI. We fell in love with Matunuck and views from the large deck. We would definitely stay here again!

Memorial Day weekend stay

Everything that's needed in a well-designed small house.

A wonderful stay at this compact yet comfortably pleasing and impeccable cottage. We were there in the early winter with rain and wind, but the heat pump system kept us warm. And the sunrises over the salt marsh pond were just lovely. We did not sit outside on the generous deck because of the temperature, but we can imagine it is glorious on a summer day.

Great beach rental

This is a nicely decorated and clean house with beautiful views and walking distance to two beaches. Lovely deck with nice furniture, comfortable beds, terrific location. Be aware you have to bring your own sheets and towels and the house comes with very little in the way of basic supplies - no soap, paper towels, Keurigs, Kleenex. Just bring your own.

Cosy cottage, great views and location

Owners were very responsive to a couple of issues that came up. Great deck with sea view and lovely living/dining room. Bedrooms are on the smaller side, but beds very comfy. Moderate walk to the beach. Overall very enjoyable stay for four of us and a dog.

Paradise in South Kingstown!!

My sisters and I had an amazing time at Longview Cottage! The sweeping views from the deck watching the sunrise was just inspiring. The location was perfect . We visited 3 beaches within walking distance but honestly we could have just hung out on the deck all day ! Simply Beautiful! Thank you David and Emily for sharing your wonderful cottage!

Girl’s weekend

The view! We were lucky to have a warm day in November and sitting on the deck watching the ocean was breathtaking. We were able to walk to three different beaches and see an amazing sunset. Sunrises in the morning from the house and a wall of sliders to feel the breeze was the best part ! House had everything and the beds were very comfortable. The shower had great pressure and the heat lamp after the shower was a bonus! Definitely want to come back for the summer!

Great view!

Cute little house with beautiful view. Abutting neighbors not very neighborly but overall neighborhood is nice. We were the first rental of the season and house wasn’t quite ready. We had great weather for early May and would have enjoyed some chaises on the deck, umbrella and maybe a firepit. The owner and property manager came by to help us with a few questions. Both were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely consider another visit!!👍

Matunuck Rocks!

RI review 2021 We had a wonderful time at the cottage! It has a gorgeous deck and view of the ocean and salt ponds. It is walking distance to the quiet end of East Matunuck Beach and an even shorter walk to Deep Hole surfing/fishing area. There's a giant Salt Pond in the front, across the street and birds and bunnies everywhere. It is a quiet area with gorgeous homes. South Kingstown beach is also nearby. The cottage is small but well-outfitted, dishes, lobster pot etc. It has three bedrooms and a large kitchen living room area. I love the outdoor shower! You can walk to Ocean Mist, the pub, a coffee/food truck, and Vanilla Bean. There's a grocery store and farm stand up the road and lots of nice restaurants in the area. They have also added air conditioning h-vac. Owner Dave and Emily (property manager) were very responsive and helpful when needed. Dave stopped by and was very helpful and kind. We were there on July 4th and there were many fireworks everywhere visible from the deck! Thanks to all!

Beautiful spot!

The home and location were just great- beautiful walks to the beaches and the view from the deck was amazing. We found neighbors all throughout the area to be pretty unfriendly- that’s really the only negative.

Great location and view, annoying neighbor

We [mostly] enjoyed our stay and the house was super cute. The view is absolutely amazing and location idyllic. The yard is nice, however you're not really able to enjoy if if one of the neighbors is home. We rented this house because dogs are allowed and it had a yard. But as soon as we arrived, we were harassed by the neighbor demanding we put our dogs on leash (in a private backyard, mind you). The comments and harassments continued throughout our stay and we weren't able to fully relax outside with the dogs because of it. The bunk bed situation isn't ideal. Not sure who can fit in that top bunk since the ceilings are so low. I'd honestly list this as 3 beds for that reason. Property manager was great to deal with. We had an issue with the fridge and I was concerned over the neighbor but she was quick to respond.
