Located on a secluded 5.3 acre property steps away and overlooking a private 380 ft beach on St. Georges Bay.
• This newly built 2 story cottage is located a few feet from the ocean. It has a large deck in the back with entrance to the second floor, front deck off the main entrance, and a large gazebo overlooking the water.
• To enjoy your stay there are: high speed wireless internet, satellite TV, outdoor fire-pit with fire wood, portable BBQ, kayaks, bicycles, fishing equipment, and outdoor games.
• It is situated 20 minutes East of Antigonish and 20 minutes west of Cape Breton Island.
• Cottage rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.

Incredible

We wanted to spend a quiet week on the ocean and visit family in the area. This was an incredible property for our 1 week stay. The private beach is literally a stones throw from the cottage. The gazebo with a picnic table had an amazing 180 degree view of the coastline. Our standard poodle loved the property.

A perfect place to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful time here! The view was spectacular and having access to the ocean so close was heavenly. This cottage has all the amenities you could want to make the most of your time there and enjoy the outdoors. Communication with Steve was exceptional. He was very responsive to any questions we had.

Great private location right on the water

We had an amazing week spending time on the beach, swimming, catching mackerel and stripped bass right off shore, searching for shells, and evenings by the fire. Cottage was small but clean and had everything you need. We loved the small charcoal bbq for cooking food right in the beach. Would definitely recommend to others!

Rest and relaxation

The property is secluded and spacious and feels very comfortable. Steve was very easy to get a hold of and if anything was ever needed was very helpful in solving the situation. The beach part of the roadway is basically made of rocks but my dodge challenger did fine getting across it. My son and I took advantage of a fishing charter that was mentioned and happened to be available. That does not disappoint either, the guys were friendly helpful and lots of fish were caught it a short period of time. The beach it's self was also made of more rocks than sand so a pair of crocks were very useful. The ocean is shallow in front of the cottage so low tide gave way to some exploring which was pretty cool. I would definitely stay here again.

Tracadie Big Island retreat

We weren’t totally sure how far this property would be from Antigonish. But wanted a holiday spot while relocating our daughter to St FX. This cottage is perfectly situated near the beach. It’s private and has lots of space outside to enjoy: kayaking, beach walks, outdoor games (lots included with this rental!), bonfires and outdoor dining. Nothing was missed indoors. The one room main floor had attic stairs that pull down from the ceiling - takes you to a very comfortable 2nd level with 4 twin beds. There are back /outdoor stairs too if you don’t want to climb the ladder :) We absolutely loved staying here. The solitude of the setting provided incredible rest and relaxation. Steve is wonderful at communicating as well. No question was left unanswered

Couldn’t ask for a better vacation spot! Steve was excellent with communication and provided helpful tips during our stay. The cottage location is private with a beautiful beach and lots of property to play on. Steve and Danielle have everything there for the renters to enjoy their stay to the fullest. Amazing Stay

The property was astounding! The beach was picture perfect and the cottage was adorable. Every amenity had been thought of from the Keurig for morning coffee to the kayaks, beach umbrellas, perfectly appointed kitchen, portable BBQ, clothesline for the wet beach apparel and even more. Our host was very communicative and cooperative. One thing I do have to mention (certainly a personal situation and not a negative comment on this property) were the sleeping arrangements. The beds were upstairs and the two ways up were a bit cumbersome so we slept on the futon in the "living room". This is only a problem if you are a bit mobility challenged or senior. If we had children they would have thought the upstairs to be awesome. 7/18/21 K & D

4 day long weekend amidst covid

A super location, amazing views, and awesome host! Steve C was very responsive and a gracious host in sharing their piece of paradise. Stunning Oceanfront

I rented this cottage for two weeks of covid isolation so I could deliver my kids to NS universities. St. Fx in Antigonish is about a twenty minute drive away. The ocean views and beachfront access made the two weeks very enjoyable. The cottage was well equipped with kitchen/bath essentials and outdoor equipment for some recreational activities. Although we couldn't venture far we were able to fish and enjoy beachcombing every day. The views are even more stunning than the pictures in the listing. High speed internet worked seamlessly and I was able to effectively work remotely. The hosts checked in via text/email on a regular basis to make sure our stay was going well and if we needed anything at all. If you are looking for a secluded cottage steps from the ocean you can't get much better. Classic NS coastline. If you are a birder like me, bring binoculars to enjoy the many seabirds, bald eagles, and flickers. We would not hesitate to rent again.
