We had an amazing stay at the cabin. The design is top notch and it includes everything you need for a comfortable stay. On top of that, the location literally cannot be beat. Spend some time on the deck and just stare at the water and breathe in the fresh mountain air. The communication was with Rose was excellent. We can’t wait to come back!
Our family booked last minute (rain decided to cancel our camping trip) and Rose was VERY accommodating. The gorgeous home was deceivingly bigger than my first impression and equipped with everything we needed, even for the kids. We’ll definitely be staying again and can’t wait to see it in the winter.
This place is accurately described in the listing. It’s located on a small lake with a private dock. House is decorated well, and clean. The check in process was smooth, and host was very responsive. Enjoyed it a lot!
We loved our little family getaway! The house was great, right on a cute pond, with beautiful Mountain views. Modern amenities-WiFi, tv streaming, kitchen, etc. For us, the yard was a bit of a steep incline to the dock, so my husband with mobility issues couldn’t really enjoy the water. Big deck was a great place to hang out & relax though.
Would have given 5 stars, were it not for the early checkout (10am)…& when we arrived at 5:15pm, the cleaning person was still there. Otherwise a wonderful place!

We had a great experience and enjoyed every minute. It was serene and lake view was beautiful…exactly what we were looking for in a rental. Rose was really nice and available if we had questions. I only wish we booked it for more days!!
My husband, dog, and I had a great stay. The house is cute and quirky, has all the necessary amenities, and is decorated with care and personality. The real stand-out is the property. The house has a beautiful backyard on a slight hill going down to a semi-private lake. The lake is inviting, calm, and clean and shared by about 5-8 other houses built around it. The property offers a canoe, peddle boat (or favorite!), and stand-up paddle boards that you can take out as you wish. People staying at the other houses were occasionally out on the lake kayaking or paddle boarding (as we were), but no-one was disruptive to our experience and the lake was never crowded. The neighbors are close by but noise from them didn't travel to our ears and their presence did not interfere with our enjoyment. The house's entrance level is actually elevated compared to the lake and backyard, with a nice porch containing table and chairs overlooking the lake, as well as cozy rooms upstairs and downstairs. For when you need a break from the sun (good weather is key!), the house offers board games, two smart TVs and a PS4, and binoculars that we enjoyed using to look at the geese and deer from the porch. There is also a nicely arranged fire pit for when it gets chilly at night. Overall we had a great time and would go back.
Every little detail has been paid attention to in this small but very roomy A-frame. I loved the whimsical wallpapers throughout the bedrooms and the little decorative touches that gave it a Modern Scandi Lodge feel.
Rose is a great host. Prompt to respond to questions and follow-ups.
Wonderful stay for our family trip of 6 adults and 4 children.
The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and the decor was modern. Rose our host was responsive to the one issue we had and was very communicative throughout the process. Great swimming at nearby Colgate Lake and rock hopping in the river down the road. Full compliment of paddle boards, peddle boat, and canoe for navigating the pond.
All needs were met in this home.

very nice and property very clean and nice view and also all bathroom very clean and awesome kitchen.
The house is clean, stylish and cozy. Our group of friends had 4 preteen girls, who enjoyed downstairs unit with bunk beds and swings off the porch. The host is very responsive and you will find everything you need. Lakefront location is perfect, and also close to great hiking trails.
We really enjoyed our mini trip. Everything was just perfect, the house the style, perfect location, great weather and great host with very easy and quick communication. Thank you so much Rose.
Our family of four (including a baby and toddler) had a nice time here for our summer vacation. The main attraction was that we wanted to be able to swim in the lake and hang out by the water every day. I found the lake to be murky and uninviting, with clouds of tall grasses floating around and a flock of geese making the rounds and leaving poop all over the yard area. For my little ones it didn't really work to try to play in the water, so we ended up going to a nearby lake every day. We had splurged on this rental to avoid the shlepping, especially because we had to be home for naps and wanted to enjoy the lake while being nap trapped. So the vacation was not at all what I had envisioned. The house was clean but not super clean, and the finishes are more that of a cabin than a nice house. I arrived 40 minutes after the 4pm check-in time and still had to wait another 10 minutes for the cleaners to finish, which annoyed me considering that we're paying for the first and last nights yet have such a short time to settle and pack on either end of the trip. All of that said, the house was as pictured and comfortable and we did have a nice time overall. Rose was responsive and her website with recommendations were helpful. I hope this review is helpful to others, and I don't want to be negative but I spent hours and weeks looking for a place and read every review of many places to see how nice the lakefront was, so this may be useful to someone who is looking for really nice swimming conditions.
Had a very nice time at this house . It was very clean, with comfortable beds and furniture. 3 very nice bathrooms, 2 full with tubs and one with a stall shower. We were 4 adults and 4 children and we had plenty of room. Kids had fun catching fish (sunnies)
Can't say enough good things about this rental. The property owner was very professional and communicative. What was promised was exactly what was delivered. The home owner obviously took meticulous care of their home and knows how to properly present their proud and loving home to a temporary and brief renter. I remain thankful for the experience which was resoundingly positive.
Our stay at Rose’s house was wonderful. She was very easy to communicate with, and the property is even better than pictured in the listing. It was immaculate and very well stocked with everything we needed - although some things (e.g., pot holders) were stored in hidden drawers in the kitchen, which we were still finding even on our last day. We had more than enough space for our party of 4 adults and 3 preteen/teens, and we appreciated having two living areas as well as the wonderful outdoor space in which to spread out. We took full advantage of the pedal boat and paddle boards to get out onto the water each day and ended each evening with s’mores at the fire pit. We even got to see a bald eagle one day, which was a real treat. Our favorite thing had to be the swings - the kids (and moms) especially enjoyed them. I definitely recommend this property for a peaceful and enjoyable vacation.
My family and I had a wonderful time at Rose's place. The house was clean and as described in the listing. The house had everything we needed to have a fun and enjoyable weekend getaway.
