Juan de Fuca Beach House is a charming waterfront home is located on a 2 private forested acres with access to a pristine southwest facing beach. Located west of French Beach and east of China Beach, Jordan River, and Sandcut Beach, the beach experience here is as good as it gets! Be prepared to see eagles, orcas, seals, otters, and possibly even humpback whales without even leaving the house. The kitchen has everything an avid cook could want, but if you don't want to cook, it is a short walk to Point No Point for lunch or dinner. The home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.Two bedrooms are on the main floor and two are upstairs. All bedrooms have a view of the ocean. This quiet property is the perfect place to reconnect with the people you love and a wonderful place to which to return after a day exploring the local attractions.

The Perfect Getaway for Peace and Tranquility

This property is an absolute must stay. It is truly a gem in the Shirley / Sooke area of the island. From its superb location, to its private only access beach just steps away from the home, and a beautifully well maintained house, this was a perfect place for my family and I to enjoy all the wonders of the island. We truly enjoyed the beautiful fireplace, the view fron every single room of the ocean and of course the beach that was so well secluded. Enjoying a cup of coffee in the AM on the beach while watching seals and otters play was just breathtaking. The local coffee shop and pizza were also delicious. Rob was also very wonderful to coordinate our stay with. Would highly recommend and would like to come back again soon!

Mother's day get away

The house and property are beautiful. The trail and stairs to the beach were very well maintained. The house has lots of space for the family and the beds were very comfortable. Sitting on the deck all that you could hear was the waves. Just a beautiful spot.

Everything you need for a lovely family vacation.

This is a lovely, private spot. The private beach is wonderful (keeps kids entertained all day) and the house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. (We especially enjoyed the puzzles!) Lots of games, toys and room for kids! Bring your binoculars if you want to get a good look at the passing whales, otters and sea lions. I highly recommend this for a family vacation!

Wonderful Week in Juan de Fuca

The property was clean and beautiful - the best part was the private beach access. We spent everyday out on the beach kayaking, paddleboarding, and even snorkeling. Visiting Botanical Beach and seeing whales and seals was also a big highlight.

Family Getaway

The place is as scenic as the view you get from each balcony, window and lookout with all ameneities you would need to comfortably enjoy lounging, watching for wildlife, beachcombing, playing games and preparing delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen. Jaun de Fuca Beach House

This is an exceptional property. The house is spacious and clean. The access to the beach is well constructed and the beach is spectacular. Saw Eagles swooping down from the giant spruce trees to catch fish. The crashing of the waves was soothng. Though its in a fairly remote area, Sooke is only 15 minutes away and there is an excellent cafe and pizza place just a few minutes drive from the property. Lots of great hiking nearby like Mystic Beach and Sooke Potholes. And Victoria is only an hour away.

Great beach weekend getaway!

We had an amazing weekend stay at the Juan de Fuca beach house. The house is spacious and well laid out with plenty of beds. The location was amazing, with a private walkway down to a small beach directly below (30 second walk). Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away with close proximity to plenty of outdoor activities.

Beautiful home on the water

We spent a few days here with our adult children and aging parents. Lots of room for all of us and so comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The view is gorgeous and we enjoyed the beach area too. A great private retreat in the Jordan River area

Relaxing West Coast Christmas

This was the first Christmas my family has been able to all be together since before the pandemic. The Juan de Fuca Beach House was a perfect location and a perfect fit for our family. We cooked all our meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and spent many hours playing board games and sharing laughs in the living room. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place.

A wonderful property

Fantastic getaway

Really great place. Location is perfect. Tried several provincial parks around here but found that it was way nicer just to stay right here on the property. Super nice views and a nice private beach. The property is very nice, makes you feel very comfortable. Large enough for 4 couples and still have privacy. I would recommend this property Pat

Unreal property

I saw the photos listed and knew it would be nice. I even did a drive by of the property prior just to check it out and even still when I checked in I was utterly blown away. The house is gorgeous and spacious. There is a gorgeous look out spot and a private beach! Would highly recommend to anyone.

Cancelled 20 min before check in

Rob cancelled our stay 20 min before check in due to the fact that we “were not a family.” However, this was never mentioned anywhere in his listing and should not have been a covid problem considering we all live together and would not have been expanding our bubble. He cancelled so close to check in he left us without a place to stay after after we had already rented an extra car to drive up with half our group already in Sooke. DO NOT BOOK THIS COTTAGE!! IT IS UNRELIABLE AND UNTRUST WORTHY!!

Absolutely Stellar

We LOVED our stay at this beautiful property! Every bedroom has an amazing view. The kitchen is well equipped and organised for companiable cooking. We enjoyed the lovely dining table...casual elegance! The fireplace is a delight and the supply of firewood much appreciated. We had chilly weather but loved bundling up to enjoy the deck and the outer trail seating area with the resident river otter and the sound of the surf. We had a very short stay but we plan to return again for a special family event. I would like to express special thanks as Covid complications required rebooking and all the changes that were required were handled with efficiency understanding and much appreciated.

Wonderful get away
