Great location but noisy
Stayed at this location for a month with a co-worker. We were pleased with the location and the apartment has everything you need for a stay (washer/dryer, kitchen appliances).
Unfortunately, however, the house is quite old and you can hear absolutely EVERYTHING from the family upstairs (stomping kids, running up and down stairs, dogs, voices, guests). I spoke to the owner several times as this was very disturbing to our sleep and ability to study and relax at the apartment in the evenings. She unfortunately couldn’t do much about it due to the nature of the older home and the flooring. She did offer to let myself and my co-worker find alternate accommodations and only charge us for the time we had stayed thus far, but at that point it was the last week of our trip and there was nothing else suitable available.
I booked this apartment well in advance of our trip and hadn’t read several of the more recent reviews about the noise from upstairs - I wish I had as we would have definitely preferred to stay elsewhere (again simply due to the noise, not the location of the apartment or interactions with the owner). I don’t like to leave an overall negative review and maybe this would work for some people for a short term stay but if you need peace and quiet during the evening hours and while you sleep this is not conducive to that.
