Infestation
Check in process was great. It is a quaint home. We had expected bigger, based on the initial advertisement when we plugged in the numbers of how many people were coming on the trip. We were lucky that less people actually accompanied us because when we got there, there was sign posted inside, “only 6 people can stay here”. The other problem was the freezer portion of the fridge was inoperable- ughh. We had brought plenty of frozen food to cook, only for it to eventually get defrosted. It did stay cold for a long time, mostly because we had it in a cooler. Our last complaint was the infestation of the ants in the house, mostly in the kitchen but found this pest in other areas as well. Our first morning, we cooked a great breakfast, only to have “company” on our arms, plates and food. They were not an invited guest. :(. We did inform the owner and she moved us to another location, which was bigger and more modern. We had to deal with the inconvenience of the move but we did it. No ants, except for the ones we brought over from the original house but no infestation. Now, we still had to deal with no freezer, AGAIN. Lord Jesus, help! The communication was not all that good. We did ask for a refund but she did not respond, “of course, she wouldn’t”. She seemed like a nice woman but if I wanted to be with ants and no freezer, our family would have went camping.
