Pleasant stay

My sister and I stayed a long weekend when we completed a spartan race. She had her 3 small children and her husband, our other brother also came as well as my daughter. There was plenty of space and the items available were just what we needed for our stay. It was easy to get to and within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do.

Home away from home

The perfect home for your stay located in a quiet neighborhood with stores and restaurants just around the corner. The bbq outside and all the kitchen appliances was exactly what we needed for our stay. They provided everything. The house was spotless clean and well decorated. My family and I will definitely be back.

Great Looking Property, But Misrepresented Location

I’m sure most people who book this property don’t mind exactly where they stay in Henderson, and the home itself looks beautiful from the pictures. However, we specifically chose this listing because it appeared—based on the map and description—to be within biking distance of a trailhead. In reality, it’s about 3 miles and two highways away from the location shown, making it inaccessible by bike.Once the actual address was disclosed (as per usual VRBO policy, after booking confirmation), I immediately contacted VRBO directly to request a cancellation and refund due to the misleading location. I was told to speak with the property manager, who in turn said only VRBO could cancel it. This back-and-forth left us stuck—unable to cancel, yet unable to stay—and we ended up being charged for the full rental. More than a week later, I’m still trying to resolve the refund issue.The property manager was very friendly and communicative saying they did not have control over how VRBO presented the radius of their property on the listing, which I had never experienced with other rentals before. They offered an Uber gift card if we stayed, but as I explained, we were already bringing a car and this still didn’t address the core issue: the listing misrepresented the location. I’m sure others have had a lovely stay, but unfortunately, this was a frustrating and disappointing (and very expensive) experience for us.

The property owner went as far as placing beverages in the refrigerator for us. Never had that done!

The host was very very quick in her communication. She was very flexible and check in times and accommodating for our family. The beds as listed weren't in the condition or size that we expected. The twin and singles were essentially a cot Is not a bed frame in mattress. Overall the property was very clean and very accommodating.

We had a party of 12. There are two futons listed for the living room. That was not correct. There were only couches and they did not fold out. One of our people slept on the couch and two more had to sleep on very rickety folded cots. We had to place blankets under the sheets to keep from feeling the springs. The beds were not plush as advertized. The pictures on the description are not accurate. The decorations are nice but not what is listed. The pool does not have a nice deck like the picture shows. There was a foul smell in the home that smelled like sewer sometimes. The owner responded to our request to clean the pool nicely, but due to the extreme heat, we decided not to use the pool as it was too hot and would not have been refreshing. This is not a rental for seniors. There are no grab bars or non slip mats in the tubs. In fact there were no bath mats at all. There was plenty of room. for our large party but the bed situation was not acceptable or as listed.

Terrific Experience

I was a bit nervous to rent a VBRO and invite my eight local family members over for Thanksgiving dinner. But it turned out to be a great decision! The place easily accommodated the feast. After dinner my family found several great "backgrounds" in the house for family pictures. I think the large brick fireplace was my favorite. My wife and I brought our two dogs with us for the trip and stayed for 4 days. Were hoping to come back and stay longer. Everything was clean and stylish. All appliances work and are relatively new. Its conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and a great dog park. Henderson's newly renovated downtown Water Street District is less than a mile away, and has several restaurants and casinos. I had a similar experience as several of the other reviewers with regard to the property owner. Odelya was clearly interested in making our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. From the reservation process to final checkout, Odelya was attentive and accommodating.
