Pelee in the Spring - Birds, Blooms and Bright Evening Skies!
The Northern Lights may be a much more common occurrence. No place better to observe than the western side of Pelee Island!
Welcome to the sun dappled deck of Dockside B in the hub that is the West Shore of Pelee Island. Close enough to walk for a snack at Pelee Coneheads, an afternoon Caesar at Westview Tavern or a craft beer at the Stone House 1891. A quick bike ride will get you to the Pelee Island Heritage Museum rich with the history of the early settlers or spend an afternoon singing along and dancing to the live music offered on most weekends at the outdoor Pavilion at Canada's largest private estate winery, aptly named the Pelee Island Winery . Dockside B is conveniently nestled in the midst of it all.
The accommodations offers a sunlit filled living space with 2 bedrooms, open concept full sized kitchen with a massive dining table. The deck and front yard fire pit afford a view of the "Key West like" sunsets or "dark night" atmosphere for star gazing. So please come for the ice cream but stay for the sunsets and the Big Dipper!

This was my sisters and I second year at dockside and it was perfect. The cottage was great, the weather was perfect, looking forward to going back next year.
We had a wonderful stay in this adorable cottage. The view was amazing and the cottage was super comfortable, very clean and well stocked. We saw 4 bald eagles that hung out above us for our entire stay. Easy to walk to the ferry, restaurants and the winery. Great communication by Dawn also. We would book here again for sure next time we visit the island.
Dawn was an amazing Hostess. She wanted to make sure we had everything that was needed. The cottage was within waking distance to the ferry, restaurant and winery. We got a 6 person golf cart to travel around the island. Such a perfect relaxing couple of days. The only thing that we should have done was to book for a longer stay. Next time we'll book with Dawn and come in the fall.
Great accommodation albeit a little overpriced for what we received
It was an emergency booking as the original location we had reserved cancelled our reservation. Our host was very accommodating and very helpful. Location is beautiful, proximity to the ferry and “downtown” was great!
Our only pet peeve was the fact that because we drove onto the ferry we didn’t get sheets on the bed. We got pillows, pillow cases and blankets, but no sheets. We learned that if we had walked on, the host would have been nice enough to give us sheets, but because we drove, no sheets were provided. We were advised this was standard (which I don’t think is the case). But for $550 for less than 24 hours, I would have expected sheets, and clean patio furniture. We were hoping to use the patio space to relax but we needed to wipe everything down before we could sit outside.
Other than that, while the hose was amazing and pretty accommodating, just remember to pack your own sheets.
The cottage was amazing with a spectacular view, and it had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend away! Dawn is a fantastic host! We will definitely stay again! Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed our stay on Pelee Island. The place is in the perfect location and has plenty of room and beds. The deck in front was wonderful. Unfortunately the weather didn’t make it fun to sit outside but the view from inside was amazing.
Really enjoyed our stay! Nicely decorated, clean, spacious and charming cottage with amazing hosts.
Thank you, we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back!
My partner and I came to Pelee Island for the first time and had a wonderful weekend getaway. Our stay was perfection and our host Dawn proved to be one of the sweetest most accomodating renters we've encountered to date. This rental has to be one of, if not the, best stay on the island. We will definitely be returning next year for more.
We had a great time! We had fun beach combing, swimming, fishing and relaxing! We loved waking up and enjoying coffee on the deck right on the water! Our host made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Will be booking again!
We had a wonderful short stay! My first words were….it’s just like the pictures! Dawn was helpful with questions I had before arriving. Looking forward to booking for next year!
Was a great cottage, the location was perfect, looking out at the lake. The only complaint no wifi, for some people its ok but i just like to know whats happening lol. But its not a deal breaker. I will definitely book next year.
Great place to relax and explore the island. The house is very nice and is equipped with everything you will need. Dawn is very accommodating and responds quickly to questions. When we go back to Pelee Island this will be our first choice for accommodations.
