The Hosts and the Cottage are top notch. Spent our time in this beautiful, peaceful setting, enjoying the wine, the weather and the walks. Our hosts Ted and Lorraine were very welcoming. We appreciated that our dog could join us on this trip. The fenced yard was great for the dog and the deck was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. Thanks again for a great stay.
Great cottage on a winery. Plenty of space for 2 adults with a baby, plus had a fenced yard for our dogs which was perfect. It's in a very convenient place for day drips wine tasting. Staff at the winery and the owner himself were quite friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a really terrific experience. The cottage is super cute, very clean, and the yard and deck were highlights. The hosts were especially worth the trip. It was exactly the kind of laid-back trip we needed for us and our little pup. Lots to do, a ton of wineries, and within an hour of bigger centres with even more to do. A pretty perfect and scenic vacation.
This cottage stay was everything we needed. Conveniently located to many wineries (and of course walking distance to River Stone), the cottage was comfortable and provided for everything we needed. Our dog also enjoyed having the fenced yard to run around in. We will definitely come back!
This winery is off the beaten path but still within 15 minutes of everything. It was a great place to return after a day of wine tasting. We liked it because it was a private cottage and not a hotel. Owners left us some treats for breakfast which was nice so we didn't have to find a grocery store. Would return again to this gem in a vineyard
This is such a special spot! Close to the river, nestled in the vineyard, easy drive into town, and close to a beautiful lake for swimming. The house was so cozy and it felt like a lot of love went into this cottage. Such a relaxing time, and exceptional wine as well! We loved that we could bring our dogs, and everyone at the property was so kind. Will be staying again!
Our family of 4 and 2 dogs were in Oliver for a funeral, and needed a place to stay that had room for the dogs. We were greeted with a beautiful, bright clean cottage with a large fully fenced-in yard overlooking the winery. The hosts thought of everything: they stocked the fridge with a few breakfast items, the wine bar was fully stocked, and laundry tabs and even doggy mess bags were provided. Will be sure to return for a holiday in the near future!
The cottage is cozy, quiet, and comfortable and is surrounded on 3 sides by vines. The fenced yard was very welcome as we brought our dog. Ted the winemaker / owner of the vineyard was very gracious and spent a lot of time talking wine with us, which was amazing as he's certainly one of the top winemakers in the Okanagan Valley. His wines by the way are excellent and deserve a trip home with you. We really enjoyed our stay and are already looking for future availability!

Excellent value; wonderful experience all around.
My husband and I and our good friends loved staying in the charming, comfortable, extremely well equipped cottage.
The clean, bright furnishings, deck, Bar B Q, and fenced yard are enough to attract not only us, but also other visitors and families. The cottage proved an excellent home base for exploring the wineries and area's attractions...starting with the property's own Estate wine tasting room. Wonderful wines, helpful and informative hosts, comfortable lodgings, being situated in a vineyard in a well maintained cottage provided us with a great introduction to the Oliver area...and we'll be back! Thank you Ted and Lorraine for your hospitality.
This cottage is so awesome! It’s very cozy and comfy.
It has a huge deck with furniture, bbq, umbrella, everything you could want. A very private big yard as well, lots of trees and birds in the area.
The hosts were awesome, thanks so much Ted for the visit one evening and answering all our questions.
We took the vineyard tour which we highly recommend, it was so informative, Adrian was very knowledgeable!
We were also contacted more than once from the hosts to ensure we had everything we needed and to reach out if we did require anything.
This is one of those properties you want to come back to.
Live in Calgary Alberta and we went to Oliver BC because we were retiring and looking for a place. We chose this little cottage because we thought it was adorable. Of course it was on a vineyard. After viewing multiple houses without a realtor, it was nice to get back to the cottage and relax. We were allowed to bring our cat with us so that was a bonus. The name of the winery that owned the cottage was Riverstone visited with the winery owner Ted a few times, and the one who manages the place Alex will definitely go back again. We found a place to live. Might probably stay at the cottage for a couple of days while our furniture gets delivered from Calgary. ❤️
A very cozy cottage, in a quiet picturesque spot. Well supplied kitchen and comfortable beds. It was lovely to look out the bedroom window into the vineyard. The fenced yard was a bonus to let our dog out while we were there. We look forward to going back another time of year when the weather would allow us to enjoy our wine on the spacious deck (too chilly and wet by late October when we were there).
We were so very fortunate to have found this spot last minute - it was ideal to visit our daughter who is working close by. There was little available at the time and thankfully someone had to cancel so these dates opened up. We really appreciate your kind and generous hospitality!
We had an amazing family holiday! And awesome wine tasting and wines! We have already reserved for next summer, and cannot wait for our next holiday at River Stone Cottage-highly, highly recommend!
Amazing quiet location right in the vineyards. Deck out front was amazing and the house had all that you need. Ordered wine right to the house and it was great too. Recommend for any type of family getaway. Saw the owner a couple of times - everyone we dealt with was exceptional. Can’t wait for a opening so we can go back.
Quiet, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this cottage. The location is great, just a little north of the downtown area of Oliver and the staff at the winery are terrific and very accommodating. I will certainly stay here again if available the next time I’m staying in the area.
A lovely spot to bring the family and enjoy the amenities of the area. This home provided so much more than a hotel room!

About the host
Hosted by River Stone Estate Winery
We are Ted and Lorraine. We purchased this wonderful land 21 years ago. In that time we have planted a vineyard from scratch, have raised three kids, multiple animals and have grown all of this into a successful winery and tasting room. Passion and determination for our vision have culminated into a little bit of paradise in the Okanagan Valley.
Why they chose this property
Great soils for growing grapes. Lovely little town with lots of potential.
