Elegant PNW Waterfront Beach House with Pickleball

Summary:
Welcome to Agate Beach House, the ultimate Pacific Northwest getaway.

Nestled in a private neighborhood on Agate Passage in Poulsbo, WA, this serene retreat is perfect for families and friends. Built in 1948 by the Schanno family’s grandfather, who fell in love with the area, it has been cherished for decades. His grandchildren recently rebuilt and thoughtfully designed the home to preserve their family’s legacy, creating a beautiful space for unforgettable gatherings by the water.

The Space:
This picturesque 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home has a warm, elegant, beachy design aesthetic. It boasts amazing waterfront views and an easy-access, 8-step stairway to the beach.

Enjoy great beach walks, shell and crab hunting during low tide, and fun kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing at high tide. This home also features a spacious, beautifully landscaped yard, a very popular pickleball court, an outdoor fire pit, a BBQ area, and several outdoor spaces for lounging and playing. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, life preservers, pickleball paddles and balls, badminton, bocce ball, and cornhole sets are also available for guests.

Luxurious living & amenities:

This house accommodates up to 9 guests and offers ample space for everyone to unwind. There are 4 comfortable bedrooms, each featuring luxury linens, Smart TVs, and water views. The 3 bathrooms include tiled showers (one with a bathtub), along with luxury shampoos, towels, and hair dryers. Beautiful artwork is also showcased throughout the home, including a piece that will excite fans of the Twilight book and movie series based in Washington State.

Breathtaking views & wildlife:

The ambiance in this luxurious home transitions from “light and airy” during the day to “moody and intimate” at night. The covered outdoor deck features Adirondack chairs for enjoying the breathtaking views and diverse wildlife, including bald eagles, seals, otters, bunnies, deer, orcas, and various marine and bird species. On clear nights, you can admire the stars, the twinkling lights from homes across Agate Passage, and the peaceful moonlight reflecting on the water.

Sets A Remarkable New Standard

Every year, my friends and I meet up. This year, instead of a hotel we chose this house in Poulsbo. We are so glad we did. This is the most perfectly curated stay we have ever had as the amenities of this house beat a stay at any luxury or boutique hotel. How does it compare to other houses we've booked on all the sites? It doesn't. You can rent a house, even a really nice house, but this house was a total experience. It was more than the luxurious beds or the charming bathrooms. So much more than the perfectly stocked kitchen, the warm fireplace, and thoughtful seating arrangements. The furniture was both beautiful to look at, yet super inviting and comfortable. What made this so special? The views from nearly every spot in the house, were stunning, there was a pickle ball court, a firepit by the water, lots of outdoor seating. That's all great stuff and well worth the mention. But when I say curated, I mean it. It wasn't like some other rental where you open a cabinet and see some salt and spices and think, "Well, I don't want to use too much." Behind every door and in every drawer was everything you could wish for and it was all for us. Full, new bottles of every spice and oil, teas and coffees -- a bathroom wardrobe was stocked with every kind of towel, outside blankets, all labeled, plus, sun block, first aid supplies, even 3 colors of CHANEL nail polish. Friends? Family? Book it! You won't want to leave & will be dying to return. You'll compare every place to this one!

Great New Year's getaway in Poulsbo.

We had to cancel our holiday travel plans after the flu swept through our house and were looking for an easy local getaway at the last minute. We were incredibly lucky to find this beautiful, new and fully stocked house right on the beach in Poulsbo. The house has everything you could possibly need for relaxing, cooking, entertaining, and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen was fully stocked with high-quality cookware, appliances, dinnerware, etc, There were also dozens of coffees and teas available and the property manager dropped off some tasty fresh baked bread and jam for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all spacious (there were only 3 of us but you could fit 6-9 people comfortably) and the beds were very comfortable. The owners of this home really spared no expense to make guests feel completely at home and at ease here and the property manager was super-responsive to all our requests before and during our stay.Other highlights: - The house is right on the water, so we enjoyed beautiful views from almost every room and got to see (and hear) plenty of harbour seals- Aveda and Kiehls products in every shower- Fans in every bedroom (there's central air and heat, but one of us can't sleep unless it feels like an igloo)- Plenty of extra firewood and tools for making s'mores- Very nice bed and bath linens and comfortable pillows- Great location. Easy drive to Winslow, the shops and restaurants in Poulsbo, and a massive Town and Country grocery store.
