About this property

Two bedroom condo, over 1,000 square feet with a queen bed in the master bedroom and queen size bed in the second bedroom. A sofa bed in the living room, two full bathrooms and products supplied from the famous Salt Spring Soap Works.
Full kitchens well equipped and complete with stainless steel appliances. There is a gas fireplace and TV in the living room.

The main bedroom has a tv and an ensuite bathroom with a large soaker tub. The rooms all come with linens and towels in the bathroom.

The unit has a beautiful patio with ocean views, a BBQ and outdoor seating.

Beautifully appointed. A short 5 minute walk from your condo at Mariner's Loft brings you to the heart of Ganges, steps away from the boutique shops. Due to the close proximity to town we do have a main road down the hill from our property.

Ganges is a quaint village known for its Saturday and Tuesday seasonal markets, galleries and shops with local flair. There are several restaurants within walking distance with a few offering live music (call ahead!), grocery stores, organic grocers, bakeries, delis and liquor stores for those wanting to prepare meals at home.

Mariner's Loft is ideally situated in the village and across from the harbour offering beautiful views and easy walking to just about all.

One night stay

I have stayed at the Mariner's Loft before in 2019.It's a nice property on the hill with a great view of the water and marina. The beds were comfortable and the condo is clean and roomy.

Perfect Location

The unit was nicely appointed with a view of the marina. Comfortable king bed & fantastic on suite in master. Minutes to town by foot & delicious fish & chips across the street. We made tacos in the well equipped kitchen & enjoyed them on the lovely patio. The living room was comfortable and a nice place to put your feet up at the end of the day. Our friend loved the second bedroom & bathroom. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

One night stay for a party. 5 in our party

The check time of 4:00 is too late and the check out time of 10:30 is too early. Most hotels check in at 2:30 or 3:00 and check out is 11:00. Check in codes were promised in the morning and weren’t given until close to check in time which made me wonder if I had been scamming for 859.00 a night. No duvet in 2nd bed as promised and one slim pillow for pullout. A box of Kleenex would have been appreciated and the coffee was terrible. Beautiful view and beds were comfy. Lovely decor and easy parking with lot out front for one car. Walls seem thin as the dripping coffee pot woke me.

Everything was great. It was unfortunate for us there was a family above us with a small child with heavy feet. Oh well they eventually slept. Will come back but book the 3rd level. 😂

Beautiful view

Beautiful accommodation. We loved the location steps to shops and restaurants, and beautiful view. The property doesn’t have AC which would normally not be missed with the breeze off the water, but we were there during an unusually hot spell of 30+ degrees. With the windows open and fans blowing sleeping was comfortable. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great location, nice condo

We loved our stay in Ganges!! The location was perfection - we sat and watched the boats in the marina, planes fly in overhead and were serenaded by live music playing at the Oystercatcher each night. This spot is basically in town (a 5min walk to get to the shops) with all the privacy of a high end condo. It was very clean and well set up with everything you need (no spices or condiments just note). The deck was huge with a BBQ and we sat out for hours enjoying the weather and views. Would highly recommend.

Best place to stay in Salt SpringL

We travelled on a girls weekend, myself, my early 20’s daughter and my mother in law. We also brought our dog. This place was spectacular, clean, great layout, more than enough amenities. Dog bed and dish. Beautiful bathrooms, great kitchen, amazing view. Quick walk to Ganges for all your activities. Parked the car and walked all weekend!

Perfect Spot!

I can’t believe in all the years that we have been coming to Salt Spring that we have just discovered this gem of a place. We came over by boat and were happy to find Mariner’s Place right across the street from Ganges Marina and a quick stroll into the village. After all of the recent heat in Vancouver we slept so soundly in the comfort of this fully equipped and spacious residence. We will definitely return!

Great view

Great location for restaurants and shops. Road was a bit noisy. Condo has enjoyable view and excellent light. The fireplace was a delight for chilly days and clicks on easily. I would stay here again.

Gorgeous vistas

Lovely airy spot - harbour views were perfect. Large Modern kitchen/ living room space & deck made it great for meal prep & hanging out. I stayed w/ friends and our teenage kids. We found wifi sluggish but managed. Only very minor complaint was some roadwork noise which I’m sure was temporary & just bad luck for us timing-wise.

Salt Spring Bliss

I love the location! Great views and you are a short walk from everything in Ganges. The suite was supplied with everything you need, kitchen, laundry and barbeque on the deck. We had a great time!

Clean, modern, and great views!

My partner, three friends, and I decided to do a small getaway to our favourite gulf island, Salt Spring Island! It was absolutely delightful to arrive and have the place to ourselves -- very low common areas with touch points (super bonus during covid!), everything was extremely clean inside and outside of the condo, and was in the centre of downtown Salt Spring. We highly recommend this stay and will definitely come back again in the future! Our friends, their dog, and I really loved it. Thank you!

I am a local businessman on Vancouver Island. I have been involved in the hospitality industry for many years, creating memorable experiences for my patrons and customers.

Why they chose this property

I built this property because I wanted a retreat from my busy life on Vancouver Island. The property I chose for Mariner's Loft is the only property with hotel zoning in the town of Ganges, and the views to Ganges Harbour and the Gulf Islands are second to none. I detailed and furnished the unit as I would my own home, and created a large outdoor deck off the unit to enjoy a dinner party, a barbecue, or just a coffee in the morning overlooking the Marina and the Seaplanes taking off and landing in the distance. I find it so relaxing to be in my beautiful creation that I wanted to share it with others looking for a relaxing respite from their busy lives. It is perfect for longer term stays in the winter, for Snow Birds to enjoy our benign maritime climate, or for weekenders or weekly stays in the Summer for people looking for a well deserved break from busy live

What makes this property unique

An elegant kitchen encourage meals at home, with the abundant local produce, and fish all within walking distance of your suite. Throw the car keys away- even, tours of wineries, art galleries and studios. The suite is beautifully furnished with a West coast design.
