Waterfront Lodge on the Quiet North End Of Osoyoos Lake
The Waterfront Lodge dates back to 1925 and is one of the few historic homes on the lake in the Okanagan. There are 5 bedrooms which will hold up to 10 adults - 4 bedrooms with a Queen size bed and one bedroom with 2 single beds. The Lodge is reserved just for adult couples or groups who want a relaxing beach, golf or wine touring get-away. Families with children can book into the cabins which are on the adjacent property and are run as Inkaneep Point Resort. The porch room in the Lodge has a panoramic view and can easily accommodate 10 people for dining, lounging or enjoying the tranquil surroundings, plus there is an outdoor deck on two sides of the Lodge. The large pier on the point which was used for rum running during the 1920's prohibition is now a beautiful spot to enjoy your sun downer cocktail or your morning yoga routine. Our Lodge is unique from any other rental property on Osoyoos Lake as it is on the end of Inkaneep Point with beaches on both the north and south sides of the point. The location also provides panoramic views to both ends of the lake. The south beach is shared with the resort cabins while the north beach provides the Lodge guests one of the most private beaches on the lake. Both beaches have a gentle slope into the lake and are very safe for swimming. The natural pebble beaches on Inkaneep Point allow for the cleanest water on Osoyoos Lake.

Family get away
The lodge and location are perfect. My adult children and spouses (10 of us) spent 1 week and had a terrific time. The lodge is big enough for everyone to escape each other if needed. The lake and beaches are steps away from your morning coffee. The pier was perfect for fishing and ladder toss. The girls spent a couple of afternoons at wine tastings. And Osoyoos is 10 minutes away for supplies. The owners live next door but are unobtrusive and respect your privacy. Seriously, I wanted to go back the day after we returned to Calgary.
The only downside was a lack of AC during one of the hottest weeks in Osoyoos in the last 20 years. The lodge is well set up with ceiling fans and electric fans in all the bedrooms but it was a little hard on my sons. I got acclimatized though. I found the spot on the deck with the best view and breeze. and went for a dip in the lake when I got too hot!
Great place for a vacation!!!

About the host
Hosted by Gary Hellyer
Gary and June have been running Inkaneep Point Resort on Osoyoos Lake for 20 years and are part of the family who have owned the Lodge and resort since 1974.
Why they chose this property
The Waterfront Lodge is located on the end of Inkaneep Point next to Inkaneep Point Resort on Osoyoos lake. The Lodge used to be the owner's house in the 1970's and 1980's and was run as a Bed and Breakfast for 20 years until 2012.
What makes this property unique
Private location on Inkaneep Point away from the summer crowds in town. The Lodge layout is great for adult couples wanting a relaxing get-away in the south Okanagan to do some wine touring, golfing or to enjoy the beach-front setting.
