Wonderful Wintery Long Weekend Getaway!

The Modern Cottage was the perfect place to spend a long weekend getaway together! The property was better than anticipated, with expansive windows and glass doors to take in the stunning lake views and beautiful snowfalls. The cottage was clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything needed for a fantastic stay. Marnie was a responsive host, making the process very easy from start to finish. We look forward to returning!

Gorgeous Place and Location

lovely cottage great views could use some basics on arrival ie milk splenda etc. tv’s need written instructions with list of available channels . never did figure out. outdoor lights on porch missing so dangerous when leaving cottage to deck. The steps down to deck from livingroom dangerous. They are not to code too narrow

Great Lake views cottage

This is my second time to Marnie’s cottage. Great decor, furniture and those views are the best to wake up to. We used the fire pit each night and the kitchen has everything you need. Only item missing was a blow dryer but I brought my own. Bring your bike as it is around a 2km bike ride into town and the frisky beaver is less than 2km away. That was a lot of fun. We hope to make this an annual trip.

incredible home right on lake Erie, granddaughter and my adult kids never seemed to get out of the water! House has spectacular view of the Lake and steps lead you right into the water

Above Expectations!

Absolutely amazing property! It's rare that VRBO listings are better in real life but this one was. The views were incredible, the cottage was clean and had everything (plus more) that I needed, the fire pit (and wood that was provided) made for some cozy nights by the fire, and the outdoor patio set and umbrellas were perfect for relaxing. The owner was very accommodating and super helpful! I will definitely be back for another wonderful, stress-free vacation again!

Beautiful home, spectacular views!

This is the 4th year we have stayed here during part of September. The cottage is very well cared for, super clean, well equipped in a spectacular setting. The owners have always been very responsive and helpful. We will be back!

Great stay!

Loved our stay. Everything is updated and in perfect working condition. There is always shade to be found at all times of the day. Lots of stairs to go swimming, but enjoyed the water and sandy bottom, as well as the deck by the water. Appreciated the huge tv, gas stove and clean gas BBQ. There is almost always a wind in the afternoon, but that is perfect for those humid days and nights. Highly recommend!

We had another great stay at Manrnie and Mike’s place! As always the view is breathtaking makes you feel like you’ve really stepped away from everything to relax. Location, location, location

This modern design cottage was everything we hoped for. Amenities were excellent, no expense seems to have been spared and that lake view - WOW! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. There were just two down sides a) we are 2 retired couples with one having some mobility issues. We would recommend safety grab bars in the showers and hand rails at the house entry points and b) the tv remotes are confusing even though we followed the instructions which mentioned a grey remote which we could not find. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

A stylish, modern cottage that takes advantage of the stunning view.

I loved the layout and design of this place. The large, open concept kitchen/diningroom/living room was comfortable and stylish without being pretentious. The ever present view of the lake from the wall of bay windows was fantastic, and I can only imagine how amazing it would have been to use the back patio (the weather did not cooperate). The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our 2 day mini vacation! Fully stocked, comfortable, and one of the best views we have ever stayed at! Perfect 2 couple place to enjoy! Great meals and fun in town as well! I highly recommend this location for an any season get away! Thank you to the host Marnie for quick and amazing responses! That view!!

Honestly this was such a cute and perfect place for us! Marnie and her husband were amazing hosts! The kitchen was well equipped, everything was easy to find. They have little special touches like games, and books. The bed was comfy. The amazing part though, is that view! It never got old. Our only thing we could have wished for was to stay longer! We will be back for sure!

An amazing getaway weekend!!

The cottage is absolutely beautiful!! It’s cozy and homey and we were so relaxed staying there. The view of Lake Erie from the living room and kitchen is awesome!! Amazing views… cozy updated cottage

My friends and I really enjoyed the cottage and it’s amazing views and beautifully updated decor. The expansive wall of windows looking out to the lake and deck were jaw dropping. The road to access the cottage was under construction which made it a little tougher to get to but it was well worth it once you arrived. Overall a gorgeous place!

Fantastic place

We just got back from 4 nights here and it was exactly what we needed. The place is perfect. Clean, with all amenities and close to town. The view is spectacular. We just needed a quick getaway to unwind and it was just right. We ventured in to long point, did some shopping at a cute little store in port Rowan, had lunch in turkey point at the jetty, wine tasting at burning kiln and front road cellars and of course enjoyed port Dover. Only gave 4 stars for neighbourhood because of the current construction (which is apparently close to being finished) starting at 7am on Saturday morning and the neighbour starting the leaf blower at 8am Sunday. All understandable stuff. We will be back!
