About this property

Spacious, well-appointed comfortable cottage in a lovely garden setting has two large, well-appointed, sunny king and twin bedrooms, a large primary bath and a fully remodeled, enlarged guest bath. Bedroom walls are sound-proofed - no shoji doors. A large, enclosed lanai features ample dining, seating areas, a bicycle barn, with an adjacent open, covered lanai for sunset views. A sparkling heated pool is 20 steps from the lanai door. Ceiling fans, portable fans, and an abundance of windows keep the cottage cool and comfortable - no AC. Our well-appointed kitchen, barbecue grill, comfy seating areas and beds make the cottage a perfect home away from home. Kahekili Beach Park, one of Maui’s best, is just a 10-minute walk across the street. A protected marine park, Kahekili has excellent snorkeling, lawns, tree shade, showers, a bathroom and picnic gazebo. A 20 minute stroll along the lovely pathway south leads to Ka’anapali Beach. The cottage location is an easy, quick access by car to Napili, Kapalua, Lahaina. It’s an affordable paradise setting in a world-class destination!

Fabulous stay!

Our family of four really appreciated the space and layout of this fabulous cottage. The enclosed lanai was our favourite room in the house and was where we spent the majority of our time. The cottage is equipped with absolutely everything you may need for both cooking and beach. The kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated having the huge cupboard full of spices, as well as the dishwasher detergent, paper towels, saran wrap, etc. It made for a very seamless experience once we purchased all of our groceries and were ready to prepare our meals. The beach gear is exactly as advertised - umbrellas, boogie boards, towels, coolers, straw beach mats, etc. Again - hitting the beach the first day without making a stop to the local beach rental store was definitely appreciated. The bedrooms and showers were as advertised - if I had one comment to make - the layout of the bedrooms is such that the outdoor grounds lighting is shining right in the bedrooms, and does not turn off until 6 a.m. A sleep mask would be useful if you are the type of sleeper that requires total darkness. Apart from that one small issue, the cottage more than met our expectations and we would definitely rent again should we be fortunate enough to come back to Maui. My husband was concerned about the lack of a/c - this was totally not an issue. The tradewinds blow right through the house and the ceiling fans keep the air moving. It was nice to be in the middle of everything, so close to Lahaina and the beaches on the west side of the island, but to be away from the major tourist activity at night time. This unit is very quiet at night time and is a serene way to end your day. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool is literally 20 feet away. The owners were extemely responsive and a real pleasure to deal with given all of our flight changes which were beyond our control. Also - having the unit for a late departure was very much appreciated and allowed us to have an entire extra day at the beach. We highly recommend cottage #19!!

Wonderful stay at the cottage

We had an amazing stay. It had everything we needed and more! The cottage was set up really well and had lots of room for our family of four. We appreciated all ‘the little things’ the cottage had to offer, and especially the beach chairs, towels, cooler and umbrella for our beach days (on the most fantastic beach across the street) or for one of our day trips. All communications with the host before and during our stay were excellent. We would most definitely stay again! Thank you.

Peaceful vacation spot

We stayed for four nights and had a very pleasant time. Just stop for some groceries and check in because everything else is already here. Easy walk to the beach and a short drive to anything else that you might need. We will definitely stay here again

This is one well organized, very well supplied, very lovely home. The owners are so generous that they even asked and provided breakfast foods we like that were there for our arrival. We had questions a couple times and they responded immediately. I can't say enough good things about this rental!

The place to stay on Maui

We had one of the best stays in this cottage. It has everything and more that is necessary for a pleasant time. Location is excellent, very close to the beach with the best snorkeling experience we had on Maui. The cottage itself is very comfortable, the whole time we felt like in a paradise. Will book again next time and recommend for everybody.

Maui cottage

Great cottage close to the beach. We loved all the well-screened louvered windows that allowed a cool breeze to constantly flow through the house. Well stocked kitchen. The kids enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the beaches. Short drive to Lahaina. Ocean views, large lanai. Great place!

Doesn’t get much better

From the morning birds and breezes to the lanai dinners and sunsets and everything in between, this cottage is just wonderful! It’s quiet and the beds were super comfy. Didn’t need any A/C (fans and cross breezes were plenty) and the house was fully equipped. I can’t thank you enough for 12 nights of bliss spent with my family (myself, husband, and 2 teenage sons). We will be back!!

Gorgeous Cottage

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it is so well stocked with all the essentials, we loved the pool and the beautiful grounds. Awesome Maui Trip

Great spot, better hosts

This place was wonderful for our family. Very short drive down to Kahekili (Airport) Beach which had all the sand, reef, bathrooms, and anything else you could need. We saw tons of fish, turtles, and even a couple octopuses out snorkeling. I like to run so there is were lots of options right out the front door. Sunsets from the lanai, pool steps out the back door, all kinds of fun plants and trees cover the property and were lots of fun to look up with our kids. Hosts were really fantastic. Can’t say enough about their responsiveness and eagerness to help. They were wonderful. One thing to keep in mind is that the place doesn’t have AC. We actually purchased a window unit at Costco when we arrived just in case we needed it, but we managed to stay cool enough that we returned it unopened. All the windows open and they have lots of fans. Mid summer, which is when we were there, is probably the only time this may be an issue, but even with days in the upper 80s we were ok. We loved the place and hope to return. A big thanks to Suzanne, Carol, and Andy, all of whom were super accommodating and helpful.

Wish we could stay longer!!

We had a great trip! Property is in a perfect location, clean, roomy and has so much to offer! A lot of extras included (boogie boards, bikes, coolers, extra towels for beach and pool). Walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. If you have a car, so many other options 4 miles either direction!! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise!!

Fantastic Maui Experience

This house had everything, and it was close to beaches, shopping, running trail, and grocery stores. The owners thought of everything! I was a little worried about staying in a house without air conditioning, but it turns out we didn't need it. Sleeping was a dream on the very comfortable master bed. We would love to return to Maui and stay here again!

Escape the Chaos

Great cottage a short walk from a wonderful beach. Much quieter than a resort. We were worried about no A/C, but was no problem at all. Great cross-ventilation, so open things up when you get home and it's pleasant in a few minutes. Spacious, with two bedrooms and two full baths, the second of which is pretty small. Awesome lanai or patio, which we used every single day. Lots of beach equipment and a pantry with some staples, also games, movies, extra towels and pillows. All kinds of things to do. We even hosted dinner for some family members one evening. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend!

We are two couples who love the simple magic and outdoor lifestyle of Maui. We pooled our resources to find a piece of paradise in Maui for our families, friends, and our grandchildren to enjoy together.

Why they chose this property

We began our extensive search for the perfect family property in 2013 and found it at the low-density, quiet International Colony Club with its 10 acres of lovely tropical gardens and two heated pools, a relaxed setting, friendly ambience, and a roomy cottage where we can spread out with family and friends, and enjoy spectacular sunsets from our enclosed lanai. We wanted the perfect beach across the street for snorkeling, swimming, strolling at sunset. Paradise found!

What makes this property unique

Easy-access, large, comfortable private cottage with nearby free parking and next to heated pool in a lovely complex adjacent Royal Kaanapali golf course for all types of travelers and adventurers. The property is close to everything north and south of Kaanapali. The cottage’s beds are comfortable with quality linens, a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of good cookware, quality cutlery, coffee grinders, coffee maker, rice cookers, baking ware, ice crusher for your sunset beverage on the spacious enclosed lanai. High-speed WiFi . Four comfy lounging areas with airy, sunny windows. One large enclosed lanai; for dining along with a relaxing sitting area; a separate smaller open lanai is great for morning coffee and sunset beverages. The cottage is fan-cooled by six ceiling fans along with extra fans for your comfort. The cottage does not have air conditioning. Beach towels, wheeled ice chest, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, a Weber Spirit II gas barbecue and more are for our guests to enjoy a great vacation. Both lanais offer complete privacy with sunset views. Our spacious cottage is a well-maintained, clean, comfortable home away from home. NOTE: This is a quiet complex with strict rules for quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am. Pool rules and safe behaviors are clearly designated with signage. We expect respectful behaviors to preserve the quiet ambience that makes the International Colony Club a memorable place to stay. Mahalo!
