About this property

Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our bungalow with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay.

The Beach Trail Bungalow is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a portable dishwasher, microwave, and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. you will want to bar-B-Q outdoors on the gas grill and share your meals on the covered porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size bed and the twin bed will accommodate three people very comfortably with high thread count, hand ironed linens.

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Beach Trail Bungalow.

Great Place

This was perfect for a 6 day stay for my brother and I. Quiet, secluded, clean, with everything thing we needed. Highly recommend for a nice retreat after a long day of hiking (or going to Victoria)!

Good and quiet

We enjoyed our time here. Its a quiet area with a family of deer you get to see every day. Nice walk to the beach. And a good spot for base if you're exploring the national forest.

The views were great, the property was secluded and quiet. Though the home was a bit older, it had character and was so quaint and comfortable. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Nicely situated by the water

We enjoyed the frequent visits by a deer momma and her two fawns as well as the close proximity to the water and beautiful forest and nature setting. Tranquil, private place.

Comfortable accommodations for 3

Comfortable, well stocked kitchen. We spent our daylight hours driving and hiking on the coast and hiking on Panorama Ridge leaving us no time to enjoy the local beach.

great location!

bathtub might be bad for people with low mobility, it’s a foot off the ground and there is no grippy pad. Other than that, this place exceeded our expectations based on location alone, the property is amazing!!!

Beach trail getaway

Lovely property where deer are wandering around with different look outs to watch stunning sunsets. The private trail to the beach makes this place very special. First thing we saw when we stepped on the beach was a bald eagle. We stayed for 2 nights. Highly recommend this place.

Olympic NP Visit

My daughter and I stayed here for our multi-day visit to Olympic National Park. It was a great launching point to visit multiple areas, including Hurricane Ridge, Storm King, Hoh Rainforest, and Rialto Beach. Bungalow was well appointed with everything we needed and access to laundry was so helpful on a week long trip of visiting all the Washington NPs, so we didn't have to over pack.

Secluded beach access

We are 72 years old and had done a lot of hiking at Sol Duc Falls as well as at the Hoh Rainforest the day before. We decided not to press our luck on the trail down to the beach. Your property is lovely and well cared for. We traveled up to Hurricane Ridge and enjoyed having a comfy place to stay afterwards.

A hidden gem!

It’s a quaint property that is very quiet and relaxing. The accommodation itself is very rustic and brings back childhood memories down to the 70’s green lid Coleman cooler! We enjoyed seeing the deer, chickens and peahens. The private access to the water was well worth it (especially for kids) and is extremely well maintained. Everything worked in the house (thanks to Len) and we hope to visit again soon!

Restful stay

We enjoyed staying on this property. Very quiet and safe with beautiful sunset views from lookouts. Beds were comfy, showers were hot, kitchen was stocked and laundry appliances a real plus. My only complaint would be the heavy, old, stale smell of the home. We just opened the windows to air out the home but it was noticeable. Overall a good property.

Great property and host

The property was very cute and next to a beautiful private hike/beach/overlook. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen tools so it was easy to make dinner after all day hiking at the national park. The host was very easy going, quick to respond and very nice. I highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely stay there again.

Quaint property

This property was very clean and had all the amenities (blow dryer, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, etc.) that we needed and then some. This property isn't updated but is VERY quaint and comfortable. The numerous hikes to the beach for sunsets were amazing. We loved our stay!

Quiet beach bungalow

The beach is right there and at night it's so quiet you can hear the waves lapping on the shore. Nature is close too, there was a baby deer right outside the window in the morning. The house feels very cozy and has everything you need

Fantastic place

I didn't know a mobile home could be so great - beautifully decorated, very well stocked ( we cooked multiple nights in the kitchen), very quiet and private, very clean, we saw about 20 deer including twin fawns in the 5 days we were there. The extra bedroom was nice for storing suit cases. 20 minute drive to Olympic park, also 20 minutes to the Ferry, we spent one day on Victoria Island. I highly recommend this place.

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.

Why they chose this property

We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

This particular vacation home is the closest one to the creek and to the trail that leads to the beach. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!
