This cute cabin had plenty of room for 5 adults to sleep, have meals, play games and watch some football. We would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic looking out at the lake and an easy walk to the pool.thank you!
The cabin is very well stocked in a nice quiet area right across from the lake. Within walking distance to the main beach, but you could swim right across the street. My only request would be to have a nice comfy chair in tv area. We would definitely stay there again.
The property had everything we needed for our short stay. We used the deck and bbq most. The host was incredibly easy and considerate to communicate with.
Easy self-check in, great communication beforehand, all amenities available as advertised. With the lake right across the street, cooking on the beautiful deck, it was a great trip for my friends and I.
Would definitely recommend, and would book again!

Cute cottage
Stayed at this cottage for a dance competition we were attending. Right across the street from the lake, so is a beautiful location. It was fully equipped and had everything that one would need. Thank you for the stay!

Great little cottage
This little cottage was perfect for us: four adults and a two year old. The cottage is attractively decorated, with all the amenities of a modern kitchen but also with the charm of an older cottage. The owner was very responsive to our enquiries and the arrangements for the key hand-off went smoothly. It would be nice to have a couple of hooks in each room for people to hang their towels. Loved this little cabin!

Family get together
Awesome location and weather was great. Caretaker very polite. Very comfortable but could have used a couple extra blankets. Small challenge with 1bathroom and all adults. Yes I would recommend this cottage to someone else. Thanks
We found the peace and relaxation rejuvenating. Everything was great. We do have two observations. The second chesterfield in the dining room only serves to make the dining room crowded. The long table in the dining room makes is hard to play cards, we miss the old round table. But we love the cottage and the view from the deck is wonderful.
I am familiar with Manitou Beach so know the lake and area very well. That said, after many visits over the years, this was my first extended stay. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Used the dishwasher and the washer/dryer during my stay and it was was nice to have those amenities in a beach cabin. The cabin itself is quite rustic but well kept. Bedrooms are quite small but the bed was comfortable and the fans in every room worked to keep the cabin cool enough to sleep comfortably in 30 plus summer weather. Made a point of getting up to enjoy some beautiful sunrises on the beach and equally spectacular sunsets on the cabin deck. The cabin location is definitely a big plus when it comes to enjoying the ambience of Manitou Beach especially after the vehicle traffic has ebbed in the later afternoon and the lake is in full reflection on a windless morning or evening. Also enjoyed a visit to Wellington Park, Lockwood Sourdough, an impromptu guided tour of Danceland and a libation at Mike’s Beach Bar. All in all a great mini vacation only a few hours from home.
The house we rented at Manitou Beach had a great location looking onto the lake. There is just one very quiet road between the house and the lake. Across the street is a kids' playground, so great for young families. There is more seating in the yard than in the house,, so it would be a more suitable rental in the summer than in the rest of the year.
The house itself, however, was disappointing. The website stated that it slept 10 people. It had 3 bedrooms, one with a single bed with a trundle bed. However, the only way to use the trundle bed was to close the door to make room for the full bed. Then you were locked in the room unless you got up and returned the trundle to its place under the twin bed.
The house was cobbled together out of three different tiny dwellings and in between the sections there were several inches difference in the height of the floor. Good for tripping.
There was one couch (hideabed) which meant that if the four of us wanted a comfortable seat, we had to sit all in a row. There was no other comfortable seating in the house.
The only bedding provided were sheets and a thin cotton coverlet on each bed. We were all cold the first night. I contacted both the owner and the agent in the town and we were given blankets for the duration of our stay.
There were a lot of flies and bugs in the house. No bedbugs, but very annoying to find a bug crawling on the couch or on me.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils.
The cabin is exactly as described. Very comfortable and well equipped. i cannot imagine how it could ever accommodate 10 people as listed but worked perfectly for four guys hunting in the area.
Perfect location if you want complete serenity. House was in a perfect location for viewing scenery and lake and for accessing the village. For more shopping , Watrous is very close and easy to get to. We arrived later in the evening than planned and it was a little awkward to see the number on the house and the entry door was up a path beside the house, not the easiest to access in the dark. It does have a motion sensor light though once you reach the door do all good. My only suggestion would be to have the light on in the front. This house was very well stocked and comfortable. It would be nice to have written instructions on how/ where to find the heaters and instructions for the tv. A pamphlet on the town and the resort would be nice. These are all very minor touches and overall a very enjoyable stay and a lovely spot. Will definately recommend and have already told friends and family about it and the village. Thank you Arlene and thank you Ariel. We will be back hopefully during summer.
Overall it was really good. A few suggestions to the owner - the screen door to the deck is difficult to open and close, the gas lines on barbecue need cleaning, the nozzle for the water hose beside the cottage needs work - it sprays all over the place, was no vacuum to clean the rug.
Darlene was easy to talk to and responded quickly to my questions. The cabin was cozy, clean, well equipped and well located.
Unfortunately the listing is incorrect and caused us to scramble last minute.
We had 10 people in our group and we had a hard time finding a place that would accommodate us. Luckily this cabin said "sleeps 10" with " linens and towels provided" . Shortly before our trip I noticed we were charged for 4 extra people. When I reached out I was informed that even though the listing says "sleeps 10" the cabin actually sleeps 6. This is not communicated anywhere in the listing. We needed to not only pay the extra fee for 4 people but also needed to provide towels and linens.
The listing does correctly state that there are 3 very small beds. There is also a hide-a-bed. Not sure where the extra people are supposed to sleep, so 3 people in our group slept in their vehicles.
Being that the age minimum is 25, therefore no children allowed. In order to enjoy and relax at manitou I would suggest this cabin to 4 adults max.
This place was so awesome. Nice and clean, hosts were very quick with answering questions and giving instructions. The location is great and a quick walk away from all amenities. I would definately stay here again and will be booking in the future. Great get away for the weekend!!!
Everything is still lovely and functional but we missed the round table in the dining room and the antique piece that gave the cottage more of a cottage feeling. We were pleasantly surprised by the hide-a-bed in the living room! We are hoping the old chesterfield will be removed before our next visit to give a little more room in the dining room.
Just got home from a week at this property. Location was great for us as it’s right across from a beach and playground. The bedrooms are very small with double/twin beds but we made it work! Only problem we had was how hot it got inside but we are spoiled at home with air conditioning. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to cook while you’re there. Super cute place!
Quaint, clean place. It is nice that there are 3 rooms, but not too sure how the place would sleep 10 (if needed). Lots of fans provided. Great stay overall and the property allowed us the space to host a dinner on the deck and in the front yard.
We found the cottage clean and very well stocked. The grandchildren had so much fun playing in the water and in the tennis court near by. The view was great too!
Appreciated the variety and friendliness of the people of both Manitou and Watrous
Property was clean but you really need to upgrade bathroom. Tub especially also not having a vanity leaves 3 people with no place for personal items also no stands or dressers in two bedrooms

Prowess Property Management is a family owned company based in Saskatoon. We have a few rental properties in the city and bought the cottage during our first visit in Manitou Beach. We fell in love of the views and the convenience it has to everything while vacationing. The cottage has been gutted and redone and just kept the historic details for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.
Why they chose this property
Experience the therapeutic water in our lake, the only one in North America and one of three in the world. A unique dancehall with a horsehair cushioned dance floor. The vintage uniqueness of a drive-in movie theatre. Get closer to nature by enjoying a peaceful walk through Wellington Park or hike one of our nature trails. Challenge your skills on our golf course or at mini golf, and bring your boat and sailing skills to enjoy the lake. Soak your cares away by floating in the healing waters of the lake or enjoy the heated mineral pool at the Spa. Pamper yourself with a massage and a manicure.
What makes this property unique
White Cottage in Manitou Beach still has its original 1920's structure (whole dining room) that is renovated to present standards in beauty, convenience and functionality. Enjoy watching a movie in the cozy living room with the surround sound background. Lounge in the deck with the view of the lake while waiting for the sunset. Enjoy the view of the lake from the kitchen to the dining room up to the living room.
