Girls Weekend

The property was fabulous. We had twelve women and the number of bedrooms, the size of the kitchen, the two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two stoves and ovens were out of this world. It was so clean and well taken care of. Can’t say enough good things about the place. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely Thanksgiving Weekend Family Experience

We enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful, well-equipped and inviting facility with four generations of our family. The cottage is so spacious with something for everyone. The kitchen was a dream to work in with everything you could possibly need to host a beautiful weekend. The media room, the games room, the amazing view of the lake - everything was perfect. There was truly something for everyone. The hosts were very helpful and supportive. You couldn't ask for a better location or cottage to enjoy family time together.

What a Great Place

There were 16 of us staying and the place was everything we thought it would be and more. It had everything we needed, from entertainment to space to every little utensil in the kitchen. What a fun weekend!

Best Cottage for Large Group

Perfect cottage. Everything is thought of by property owner. 8 bedrooms, each has 2 queen beds. Perfect for a large group. Basement rec room area so great for hanging out. Outdoor areas were perfect as well for corn hole and frisbee and hanging out by the water. Kitchen has more than enough of everything. 2 commerical fridges and freezers. 2 ovens. 2 drip coffee machines. Cottage is perfect. Zero complaints. Book it while you can, you wont regret it.

Family New Year 2022

Family Holiday

Beautiful cottage on a small quiet lake. This was the second year we stayed at this property. The cottage easily accommodated my parents, my daughter’s family and my siblings (and their families). It is well equipped, beautifully furnished and is very comfortable. Norm is very responsive to any questions. Our family very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect family vacation

This cottage is perfect for the extended family that wants to get together for a vacation but is still large enough that everyone can "have their own space". Appropriate for all age groups. Something for everyone to do! Our grandchildren had a ball at the waters edge and running and playing on the property in a very safe environment. Movie room was a big hit with them as well. Everything was clean, in good working order and host was very available for any questions we had. Overall had a terrific family holiday!! Hope to repeat again for sure.

Outstanding Vacation home

Our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our summer vacation at the "Winsley House' very much. Everyone's expectations were not only met but exceeded. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The beach area was great for our 2 & 4 year old and all of the water crafts were used daily by everyone and the theatre was an added bonus. Thank you for providing a clean, wonderful home in a beautiful setting that everyone enjoyed. 5 stars!!!

Great for Family

A very well appointed “ set up” for large groups . It is purpose built . We had three families with little kids and the property worked very well. Toys , boats , everything thought out .. The property would also work for adult groups as well, as long as everyone understands this is a very quiet lake setting.

Very good place, with all amenities you wish for. The theatre didn’t work at first, but they sent someone and fixed the issue immediately, which was very appreciated. Great stay, great host!

Ladies Getaway

Experience of a lifetime

The property was spectacular. The house was something you see only on TV. The property owners put so many personal touches to the property. It lacked nothing. There was so much to do on the property. Everything in the home was in excellent condition The best part was the home theatre. There are no words to describe the beauty of the view. The property owners were very easy to communicate with. August Getaway for The Family

My wife searched extensively for a cottage that would accommodate her parents, brothers and our daughter's family. Due to Covid-19 health concerns, we were all excited about a summer getaway. We made daily use of the lake, the kayaks and the lake for swimming. Our eight year old nephew caught his very first fish and then proceeded to catch four more for good measure. He was over the roof with excitement! The generous cottage space provided sufficient rooms and bathrooms for all twelve family members and we also enjoyed the basement movie room for a few evening screenings. We were able to drive into Huntsville for some food shopping as well as an afternoon ice-cream following a nature trail hike. All in all, it was a great family holiday. The hot and sunny weather only added to our fun.

Best Family Vacation

We spent the week of July 17-24, 2021 at this beautiful cottage with our family of 14. It had everything we could ask for and much more!!! We were fortunate and had a beautiful weather week that allowed hours by the lake enjoying the water and the kids enjoying sand play. We loved the very minimal motorized boat traffic with the young children only just acclimatizing themselves to the water. The supplied SUPs and kayaks were a big hit. The fire pit and large covered porch were also greatly enjoyed. Inside was huge, very clean and so well stocked. The two large fridges were amazing with more than ample space for all our food and beverages for the week complete with icemakers! Our grandchildren were beyond pumped that we had our own movie theatre!! I could go on and on ..... Any questions we had were promptly answered! Three weeks later all our family is still talking about our magical week!!

Better Than Advertised!

We are home from a fantastic week at the Winsley, and could not be happier with our time away. The property is better than advertised, and it is immediately apparent that a tremendous amount of thought and care went into the layout and overall experience intended for the guests. We stayed as 4 families (8 adults, and 8 children) and the Winsley served as the perfect venue for the creation of lifelong memories. We all commented at multiple points during the week that we did not 'want' for anything.... anything you can conceive of needing in the kitchen is there (usually in quantities of 3+) and the ownership has done such a great job of ensuring that all potential needs of guests are met with supplies on hand. Norm is an incredible responsive host, and a very minor technology issue we ran into upon check in was solved within the hour. Very grateful for our time away, and we hope to be back. A solid 5 star recommendation from this satisfied customer!

Fabulous Newly Built cottage

The cottage really feels like a 5 star hotel/ has every amenity immaginable. Norm was also super helpful and made sure our stay was seamless! Loads of entertainment options for kids and teens and everybody in between- we had a wonderful weekend in this winter wonderland oasis!

I'm a prairie boy that has been blessed to live and travel around much of the world. I now call Southern Ontario home where I'm a husband, father to 3 wonderful children, and now a grandpa (Pops) to our grand-daughters.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I discovered Muskoka when our children were young. We really love the region and invested in our first cottage, along with some friends, back in 2012.

What makes this property unique

This new cottage, "The Winsley", is named after my first grand-daughter. She is also our family's first great- grandchild. We hope that our guest's stays are joyful - in the same way that Winsley inspires that sentiment within our lives.

I'm a big geek in life and many of my interests and habits are reflected throughout this property. We love the Muskoka outdoors but also enjoy the comforts and convenience of modern homes and spaces. We think that this cottage is a unique blend of each.
