We had a wonderful stay and Patricia was a great host. There were 5 of us and plenty of room for us all. The house was stocked with what we needed and being steps from the water was amazing. Would rent this property again.
Generally had a great experience. The cabin is very nice and in the kind of location we wanted (not right in the city). Lake access, lower deck by the lake and view from upper deck were all lovely. Kitchen had what we needed. All good and priced probably exactly right.
This is a hard review to write because the owner is really lovely and the view is stunning. However, the cottage is not "Okanagan living at its finest" as described. The accommodation was okay, but everything seems a bit dark and tired - faded couches and pillows, worn rugs, outdated furniture, electrical outlets that don't work...
A fan upstairs was so loud when running we couldn't keep it turned on and a fan on the main floor didn't work.
Both beds also need new mattresses.
If you'd like to eat a meal outside overlooking the lake, this appears to be the only cottage that doesn't have a large deck with seating to hang out on. There is a small veranda and we enjoyed morning coffee, soaking in the views...
Unfortunately, the cottages are close! So while we sipped coffee, we were looking at our neighbours just a few feet away.
All this being said, our group of four had a lovely time swimming in the beautiful lake. The water is warm and the view across the lake is stunning. The cottage had games to play and plenty of towels for multiple swims a day!
You park in a parking lot and then carry your belongings down a set of stairs (only about 15), and there are more stairs down to the lake.
The perfect location! It was very easy to get to. There is an unloading area which was very convenient as the parking lot is on a hill. It was right on the lake with your own little rocky/pebble beach area infront of the bottom deck. The water was beautiful was well, perfect temperature. There is a perch, maybe 20ft high that you can jump off of (to the right side of the cabin)The only down fall was that the dock was broken so we didn’t use it. There are a ton of stairs to get to the water and more to get into the cottage. We were staying in the loft bedroom so we had even more stairs to take. But All in all we had a great time and love this lake and these cottages!
We were looking for a quiet week away from work and that’s what we got. Most people have left for the season, so it was honestly the two of us nestled inside. Note that it is meant to be an escape, so do your grocery shopping and wine tours early and then hunker down for the week.
