Seawood is a light and airy suite with vaulted ceilings and spectacular ocean views from the expansive windows in every room. There is one bedroom with a king bed and a queen Murphy bed in the main living area. A well-equipped kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances is stocked with all the plates, glasses, cooking tools, and utensils you might need.

At the end of a day spent exploring the local trails, beaches, and forests, relax while barbecuing on the deck. Sip your favorite beverage and enjoy the spectacular sunset, relaxing by the fire table with the sound of the waves in your ears. Star gaze from the comfortable deck or bring your lawn chairs and watch from the beach.

It's only a short stroll through a magical forest to your own private beach. Bring down your morning coffee and watch magnificent Pacific gray whales pass by in the spring as they migrate to northern feeding grounds, returning again in the fall. Roaming pods of resident killer whales can also be seen offshore, as well as otters and sea lions. Truly, this is paradise.

Surrounded by nature and wildlife yet minutes from the local amenities and outdoor adventures of Sooke, BC, this beautiful property is a forty minute drive to BC's capital city, Victoria, and only an hour from the Victoria International Airport and Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. As part of our COVID-19 prevention policy, we do not stock any food items in our kitchen (including salt, oil, pepper, etc).

Breathtaking views and charming attentions

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. The place was very well furnished, very clean and super pleasant to stay in. The deck is amazing and has extraordinary views on the ocean and wildlife. We particularly liked all the little attentions left for who is renting the place like multiple extension cords, slippers or even a toothbrush in case you forgot yours. It made the place very welcoming. Only thing is the absence of blinds on some of the curved windows that make the living room with the foldable bed very bright in the morning.

Beautiful Stay Near Sooke

Seawood delivers on location and amazingly scenic views. We found the Sooke area to be beautiful with some gem amenities. The suite was comfortable, well stocked and clean. It has access to a rocky beach that we visited daily. We saw otters and seals from the deck. We were slightly disappointed to learn upon arriving that the house is split into at least 3 suites so it felt more like an Inn. therefdeck.

Holiday on the Ocean

We stayed for 4 nights at Seawood Oceanfront Suite. We loved the accommodation! Saw orcas, dolphins, seals, and deer from the balcony. They went the extra mile for us - I accidentally booked 3 nights instead of 4, and they made it easy for us to extend another night. Highly recommend!

Beautiful View

We had a wonderful time at Seawood. Everything was exactly as shown on VRBO. One of the better VRBO's we have stayed at and they had all the little extras which was really nice. We will stay here again and hopefully the weather is better, but lots to do and see when the tide is out, great exploring. The only reason I gave 4 stars for location is Sooke grocery stores were super expensive so bring most your food with you. :)

What an amazing property. The views are endless and so relaxing. We felt comfortable for our week long stay. Beds and bedding were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Love the Nespresso machine and coffee pods. Would most certainly return the next time we visit the island.

Spectacular in every way

A five star rating is insufficient for representing the full fabulous character of this property, the owner, and the experience. My husband and I elected the location on the basis of proximity and access to the ocean, quality of accommodation, and ease of access to the town for groceries. It was much more spectacular than I had anticipated. The accommodation was clean, spacious, private, exceptionally well stocked and sprinkled with lovely little touches of luxury. There are absolutely no suggestions for enhancement. We travelled with our two medium sized high energy dogs and we were absolutely thrilled by the size of the property and beach area that we could explore. There are excellent hiking trails throughout the region, as well as exceptional, large public beaches to experience. What a location for hiking, biking (mountain and road), surfing, beach exploring, and soaking up the peace and serenity that the ocean and wilderness have to offer! In the late afternoon we thoroughly enjoyed our sun drenched balcony watching the waves, seals, sea birds, sea otters, eagles, and ships. That excitement was only interrupted by the river otter, deer and black bear sightings. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Seawood as a destination stay. We will be back. Cheers!

Perfect Place to Spend Christmas

Great place to spend Christmas. The view was outstanding…none of the pics do it justice! The suite itself was immaculate and the kitchen had everything you need. The location is very close to many hiking trails and we really took advantage of this. The host was readily available yet, kept their distance. We really felt like we were the only people around. I highly recommend this gorgeous suite!

Stunning views

This property has the most incredible deck with the best views. The house is clean, modern and has everything you could possibly need! Sooke is a short 5 minute drive and has a lot of great restaurants, bakeries and scenic trails. Absolutely loved our stay here!

Tranquil stay

The property is secluded, quiet and peaceful. I took m sisters who were visiting from the UK. We sat outside for all 3 days and had the best views, laughs, memories and food sitting on the patio with the fireplace on in the evenings. It really is beautiful.

What a view!

We lucked out with this property! Stunning views! It’s a beautiful property, surrounded by forest & ocean. It’s not far off highway, but surprisingly quiet. The patio overlooking the ocean is huge, almost spanning the building. Inside, the unit was comfortable & well- stocked. We will definitely return.

Magical Location

This beautiful place far exceeded our wildest expectations. From the incredible view to the tiniest details everything was perfect. The host was friendly and helpful upon our arrival. They clearly take pride in their home and have thoughtfully considered everything their guests may need. Although the hosts share the property, the suite feels entirely private and after our check in we did not notice the hosts at all. The highlight of this space was the large balcony and spectacular view. During our short visit we saw otters, sea lions, deer, bald eagles and whales. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing property

It was the perfect spot to celebrate a milestone birthday.

We had a great three night mini vacation. It is a beautiful property, well appointed with everything you might need to enjoy your stay. We particularly liked relaxing on the expansive deck at night with the fire table and exploring the two beaches when the tide was out. Will definitely be back.

Amazing Natural Views and Sea Life

This cottage's waterfront location and kelp beds offer the most unique views of local sea life. We were mesmerised by the seals, sea lions, otters ad various birds. Rolling fog in the mornings, sunny afternoons, big sky and big ocean were just the thing to recharge our batteries. The kitchen held all the necessaries (but no tea pot), linens were fresh and lovely. Local restos were so very excellent. Thank you so much and we look forward to future returns to Henry's paradise.

It’s all about the views

Everywhere you look is spectacular. The Salish sea swirling with seal, otter and myriad bird life. The water color hues across the Juan de Fuca strait. The kayaks we toured the coastline and bullkelp fields on and beach combing the rugged shore. Watching the sun go up and down from a vantage point of perfection while the fire table flickered and warmed us. The well stocked kitchen where we cooked beautiful meals to share and then snuggle into the lovey beds after a late night movie. No sign of disappointment anywhere.

Amazing view

We loved our stay! The view was incredible and we were lucky enough to see eagles, seals and even orcas at a beach close by. The unit was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We met the owners one morning and they’re so nice and gave us great suggestions for the area. Sooke is a very short drive away, as are a number of restaurants. The location is fabulous because it’s private and quiet, yet you’re close to amenities. Check out China Beach if you get a chance. The owners left a detailed book about the area. We couldn’t be happier. The fire table was perfect for evenings under the stars. We’re so happy we stayed here!

Seawood is as beautiful as the pictures. Very comfortable, a well-appointed kitchen, quiet, bright, lots of big windows and seating to enjoy the view. Comfortable bed too.
