NOTE: The wonderful remodel in kitchen and both bath rooms. A wonderful update to an already remodeled condo. Large walk in glass enclosed shower in master bedroom. New granite replacing all current granite and new vanities. New decor and design. . The amazing lanai is so large with BBQ Grill seating for six, and additional sunning area. Lanai overlooks gardens and green space with lovely sunsets over the ocean. We fully enclosed the guest bedroom - unlike most other condos that still have the sliding louver doors.. Paradise Remodeled, Full AC, Walk to Beach, Ocean Views

5 Stars: from a guest: The unit was perfect for the 6 of us and in a great location for all that we did. The large lanai was really nice and extra space for us to use.

Dirty, appliances in ill repair and COCKROACHES!

My 6th Palms rental and the worse one ever. Stayed for one month Feb/25. Bonnie was very responsive. However, no resolution. We declined an extra clean because it was inconvenient so purchased a mop and bleach to wash floors. I was told that new appliances would be purchased and blinds were going to be replaced in April. Carpets and floors were so dirty we all had to wear indoor shoes. No ice maker (reservoir broken and someone tried to put tape over it to repair). Same with broken shelving and drawers in refrigerator. Washer was moldy so we bought a drum cleaner and used bleach on the rubber seal to clean. Dryer door falling off. We washed bathmats ourselves and I put other dirty mats on lanai. THEN cockroaches! Again Bonnie was very responsive but after sending in Area Manager to look we didn’t hear another word about it. I honestly just wanted to enjoy my vacation and make the most of it. Moving to a new location wasn’t within our budget nor easy to find, I looked. And, we had paid to stay in 504. I read all the reviews before booking, nothing indicated the filth. We lived with a giant LIVE cockroach under the kitchen sink and had to keep the garbage in the open and dispose of outside before bed. Not to mention several live and dead roaches throughout the unit. The ceilings had been nicely painted with new fans, beds were clean and bathrooms new but overall very dissatisfied with cleanliness and repair of unit and resolution of concerns so would not recommend.

Wonderful stay in Wailea!

Wonderful stay in Wailea! The location was perfect, and the property was spotless with beautifully maintained grounds that added to the experience. While the condo was a bit dated in some regards, it was comfortable, functional, and met all our needs. A fantastic place to relax and enjoy Maui!

Absolutely Perfect!

Beautiful, clean 2-bedroom condo with 2 full bathrooms. This condo is so close to everything. We cooked our meals often, there was a BBQ on the lanai and the condo had everything we needed. The pool was perfect, and the grounds were amazing. Would definitely stay again.

Wailea

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo. There was ample space for a family of 4, and it had everything we needed. The Master bedroom and ensuite was very large and beds were comfortable, nice big lanai as well. The pool area and grounds were gorgeous. We never had any issues and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Pleasant stay in Maui at this well-appointed condo

We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Wailea while staying at this renovated unit. The unit was exactly as described, with recently remodelled bathrooms and the closed-off 2nd bedroom and updated kitchen appliances (incl an indispensable water/ice-making fridge!), and we were grateful for the A/C units in the main living area and each bedroom in the evenings/overnight. Opening the windows during the mornings/lunchtime, esp if front door was also propped open to create a cross-breeze kept it cool during the days. The beds were comfortable, and the master/ensuite is huge! The unit has a beautiful large partially-shaded lanai looking over a green space, with Okolani Road just beyond. Because of its proximity to the road, it wasn't super quiet in the mornings with some local road traffic (and lawnmowing occasionally), and I wouldn't really say it's full ocean-view as you had to peek through high tree foliage to see it (no sunset views), but at least it didn't overlook the paved parking spots like other units do. I enjoyed my morning coffee there each day. The owners left us lots of laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs so we didn't have to purchase. There were ample spices in the pantry, and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes/glasses and cooking utensils etc, which was very helpful for cooking breakfasts and lunches. There's even a Keurig coffeemaker if you want to bring your own pods (we couldn't find any at the Costco). There were enough beach chairs and umbrellas in the closet for our family to use, and even a boogie board. Bring or rent/buy your snorkelling equipment. The pool was large and quiet (no ball-throwing or floaties allowed), and we never had trouble finding pool loungers to lie on. There's a good sized shady area by early afternoon at one end of the pool. The location of the unit was great for getting around by car, and the local beach was only a 10 min walk downhill and across Okolani Rd (uphill after a day in the hot sun was a different matter, but we decided to drive down to the local Wailea beaches with our beach gear after the first time, once we realized there was free public parking at all the beaches, and spots easy enough to find due to turnover). Bonnie was easy to contact, and responded quickly to any questions we had. 2 of our sun umbrellas broke in the wind (beware the rapidly-shifting gusts of wind at the beaches!) & she was kind enough not to charge us. I would choose this unit again for our next Palms stay!

Nice condo. Washer /dryer needs updating (dryer door broken & washer had mold). Knobs on oven range have numbers rubbed off so hard to tell heat setting. Water filter in fridge needed to be replaced. Just minor things though. Location was great! Beds were comfy. Great parking spot. Nice to have A/C!

This is our 2nd visit to The Palms #504 in Wailea. Great location. Love lanai. Unit is outfitted with mostly everything you need for a stay home away from home. Bonnie was super responsive when we needed help with an issue in the unit too.

Great place, communication could have been better

We loved staying here. It was a comfortable home base for our family vacation. The unit was clean and we appreciated the walled off second bedroom. Sitting on the patio in the morning was great, lots of fun birds to watch. AC was strong and nice. Had to rent a lot of equipment because most stuff in the unit was broken, which we were warned could be the case beforehand. Owner communicated lots of great info prior to our arrival, but once we checked in we couldn't reach anyone at all. The fridge wasn't getting cold even after 24+ hours on max, so we were worried about food spoilage and wondered if it would ever get cold (it did, after quite some time) but no response from multiple attempts to connect w/ the owner to discuss the issue. Overall we enjoyed it and would visit again, but I would like to try a downstairs unit for the larger patio and bedroom access.

Enjoyable stay in Maui

We had a wonderful stay in this Palms at Wailea condo during our visit to Maui. The property (while slightly aged) is clean and well-kept with a nice Lanai for eating and relaxing and is conveniently located in the heart of Wailea close to Kihei downtown with easy access to multiple beaches (our favorites were Keawakapu and Big Beach). This condo is situated inside a beautiful community and has a nice heated pool/hot tub which our family enjoyed every single day. The condo was well-stocked and we appreciated having access to beach chairs, beach umbrellas, towels and even sand toys for our kid to play with. Communication with the owner was very easy and straight forward. Overall highly recommended!

We live in Pebble Beach, CA, have two grown children and 4 grandchildren. We are all scuba divers (three generations) thus the wonderful waters of Maui have always been a love for us. Terry and Bonnie Alfriend have been coming to Maui for many years and in 2005 purchased their first condo in Kihei. Terry was working on research projects at The Technical Park in Kihei. Since that time they have added 2 condos in The Palms at Wailea. They also own two condos in the World Famous Sandpearl Resort and Spa in Clearwater Beach, FL, all of which are rented out as vacation rentals. Bonnie has a business background in real property and builder consulting so she enjoys renting and managing and remodeling the properties with the finest of decor and amenities.

Why they chose this property

After searching for many months we choose The Palms at Wailea because they have the best potential for remodel. The complex was built using the most advance design making a total renovation much better than the neighboring communities. Also the stucco exterior is more appealing and has better life than the wooden buildings near by. Wailea and Makena are the most prestigious communities in Maui and the most desirable due to the world class golf courses, the many amazing beaches and the newest of all communities in Wailea. The traffic is not congested as the northwest side. All in all the best place on the island in our opinion.

What makes this property unique

Wailea is the most beautiful part of the island. The wind is not strong and the rains are less giving your aloha vacation more time at the beach to enjoy the Paradise of the the spectacular island of Maui.

The Palms at Wailea is the most upscale and beautiful complex in the area. We love the quiet of Wailea with less traffic Close to airport and everything. The North side is far too congested and very old at this time. We love the freshness and newness of Wailea.
