We loved spending the week in Nova Scotia. The highlight of the property is the island. We were on the island almost every day. The kids especially loved going to the island by themselves and exploring. The location was a great spot for day trips. We surfed on Lawerence Beach and spent time in both Halifax and Lunenberg. Overall, we had an excellent time.

Great location.
Great location. Close to the city and the south shore beaches.
Small island to explore and a small beach steps from the door.
Wonderful location on the bay and close to Halifax. The host was very accommodating (VHS for the kids, special chairs for the kids) and prompt to reply when we had any questions/comments. I would certainly recommend, and staying again should we make it back to the Halifax area!
We had an amazing two weeks here! Was perfect spot close to Peggy's Cove and close enough for day trips to the city or the beaches. Son loved the private island and the view from the cottage was incredible. Cottage was just as described and the host was awesome!
Unbelievable location on St Margaret's Bay very near Halifax. So much to do. Peggys Cove, Irish pubs in Halifax on Saturday evening. Wineries north in Annapolis Valley. Recommend Luckett for lunch. Lunnenberg makes a good day trip. Host was helpful and responsive and easy to communicate with. Thanks Barrie.

This seafront property was perfect for our stay. Our favourite part was the island and searching for shells and other treasures. The kitchen and living room was the perfect place for the whole family to gather. My husband enjoyed drawing in the office with a view of the water. Although we had a terrible storm on our last evening, it was the perfect place to watch the spectacular lightning and see the rain rolling in. Already planning next years visit!
We thoroughly loved the house, property, views, and short distance to many things to do and see. Barrie provided great suggestions such as visiting the Immigration museum at Pier 21 in Halifax, Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, and Lunenburg. We also hiked Crystal Rock trail near East River. Our teenagers and dogs loved the water and touring the island at low tide. Also, We loved just relaxing watching the water and birds. We definitely didn’t want to leave! Thank you Barrie!

Serenity
The web pics don't really show the incredible location. Very private. Right on the water. At low tide a wonderful adventure to the island. Perfect for the kids to swim from. The inlet is calm and inviting and we counted 18 species of birds.Working fisherman were fun to watch.Wonderfully bright interior. Very comfortable furnishings. I love to cook, there was not thing missing in the kitchen. Five star all round.
Barrie was a good host. His directions were easy to follow. His tour of the cottage was very helpful.
It is not the best place for a senior. The window shades were hard to open and close. The door to the deck was stuck and difficult to open. The dock badly needed repairs and was not safe. It would have been nice if the cottage were cleaner. The water pressure was so bad that it was just a trickle in the en suite bathroom.
But.....we all had a good time. There was lots of room and a wonderful view. J.

Nice property. Bad owner experience.
Great views from a dated home with uncomfortable beds. Bathroom windows offered no privacy. No cable tv or DVD player
W/library as stated in HomeAway description.
Barrie did not understand the HomeAway payment process and made it extremely difficult for us. He would not take a Cashiers Check or a wire transfer and would not give a mailing address. Check out the review of his accounting business on Google, we believe it describes him accurately. Also, the neighbors shot off fireworks quite late one night, so be prepared!
This was a lovely vacation. As expected, the property is located as imaged and is beautiful! Barrie meets you at the property and gives you a tour. Things we loved:
The views are beautiful. The private island was great for our kids but not extremely functional. The area is nice…we explored around and found all kinds of cool adventures. The house was very roomy for our family of four. Star gazing at night was perfect. Big tree in front yard for climbing. Barrie is super nice and responsive. The deer that live on the island!
Things that you need to know:
No ice maker, bring a bag.
Property is starting to show its age. Some windows don’t open. Landscaping has been let go a bit. Water pressure is low. No AC (wasn’t an issue for us).
One change that would be awesome: king bed in master! So much room…get the big boy!
Would easily stay again! Thanks!
This is a beautiful large rustic cottage, perfect for entertaining a large group. The house could use some outside maintenance, but the location is beautiful and we would definitely go back. We had an issue with low water pressure in the master bedroom shower, but that is something Barrie can easily address. The kitchen, dining room and living room are spacious and comfortable for a crowd. Thanks for a great visit Barrie. We love Seabright!
All I can say is that this place is something out of a dream! Betweet waking up to the sunrise right in the bedroom window to watching most beautiful sunsets we've ever seen, to eating breakfast and looking out over the bay seeing dolphins, even a seals, your own island to explore and even a small private beach area, you can see the water from almost everywhere in the house, which also had a fireplace that we used every single day! It was simply fantasic and cant wait to visit again! Ps. did I mention the shooting stars at night and the beautiful skylights! I could go on and on, also Barrie was awesome, he met us and showed us around and explained everything he was a delight to meet and we look forward to the next time!
The property was fantastic. The location and views were outstanding, very close to Halifax but still a very rural feel. The house came with most everything to limit what you needed to bring other than your groceries. Barrie gave very specific directions and communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation with the ocean steps away. Our only disappointment was that the tides didn't cooperate and were weren't able to walk out to the island.
We had a great time, wish we could've stayed longer! The boys loved exploring the shore line and island at low tide. Barrie was very prompt with replying to questions. We saw lots of birds and 2 seals! Great place to come back to after a day of exploring Nova Scotia.
We returned for a 2nd yr, the location is just ideal. We travel with 2 golden retrievers and they love swimming and exploring the island. If you are looking for privacy in an idyllic erring this place is for you. The house does need a few little fix ups, and noted this time no smoke detectors. Overall a great place to explore the south shore from.
Great Location for a Relaxing Vacation by the Atlantic Ocean
C-Scape offered a great location for a family vacation for a week with four adults and two dogs. It is located close to Peggy's Cove (15 minutes), Halifax (35 minutes to downtown) and Lunenburg (1 hour), but it feels very private. There are two wings: one with a master suite and one with two bedrooms. One wing feels modern and one wing feels a little more rustic, and they are connected by a great, open living space with a nice kitchen and large living room (with a huge fireplace!). There are several stores and good restaurants within a short drive. It was great to wake up every morning looking out over the ocean and to have a morning coffee on the deck. Our dogs enjoyed the property as much as we did, and enjoyed swimming in the ocean and daily walks to the private island during the low-tide. Overall, I would certainly recommend C-Scape to others who are looking for a relaxing vacation by the Atlantic Ocean and getting a great feel for the Canadian Maritimes.

Location, Location, Location !!
At the end of a peninsula, water views from three sides and your own private island, who could ask for more! We spent four days at this Seabright cottage during December and had a great time touring the area and exploring the island at low tide. The cottage is larger than it appeared in the pictures, the kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials for cooking and the fireplace kept us cozy during the cool winter nights. Check-in and out was effortless and Barrie responded promptly to our questions and concerns. We would definitely return.

Wonderful beach front house
This house is ideally located on the bay, very tranquil with its own private island that you can walk to at low tide. Other times you an swim out to it. Beautiful master suite and modern kitchen with decks front and back. We would definitely stay here again.
