This was such a lovely spot for an off-season getaway! The house appears to be newly remodeled and decorated in a soothing beach-inspired palette. Everything was sparkling clean on arrival. I really enjoyed the sunset views from the hot tub and my pup enjoyed chilling on the closed in deck and watching the world go by. I especially loved watching the herons and egrets fishing for their supper right outside. There is a terrific multi-use path that runs right past the property - perfect for biking, running, or walking the dog. This was such a wonderful and relaxing stay, I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat.
This was our first time to the Outer Banks. The property was perfect and we had an amazing view of the water. The location worked for us as we went both north and south of Kill Devils Hill. So many places to see and things to do.
What can I say….This property is the most relaxing location you could ever want. The house is so tastefully decorated. The location is close to everything you need. Don’t forget to try a Duck Donut or 2 or 12.
You can’t go wrong with this. Everything was easy.
Beautiful sunsets and right size house for our family of 4. It’s a special location and is convenient to grocery, beach, attractions. House was clean, yard was mowed midweek. Porches were perfectly perched on the water but could use a pressure wash. Walking/biking path access was great for the dog.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Poor response to concerns
Despite 4 calls, we never received quilts for two beds. Sliding door didn’t lock properly. Calling Village Realty four times was frustrating.
This place is falling apart. Not only did the grill & tv not work, but it was infested with mosquitos, and had black debris coming out of the air vents. We cleaned up the debris upon first arriving (b/c we thought no one had cleaned), but woke up the next morning after running the AC & all of the debris was back again (both upstairs & downstairs).
The place is really bare bones, and not well maintained. We only stayed 1 night instead of 3. Tried to get our money back through Village Realty & through VRBO; both acted like everything was fine & there was nothing they could do. They said they'd send a tech out to assess and that he found no issues so they can't do a refund. There is clearly an issue!
This is just a scam for money- save your money & stay somewhere else!

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying in this rental for 5 days and 4 nights in December. The house is a perfect size for 4 people, no more. The house was beautifully decorated. The views were amazing!! We used the hot tub everyday and one evening we watched the sun set while enjoying the warm water. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was nice, they have a washer and dryer, and the kitchen had every utensil/pot/pan that we needed. The check in and check out process was very easy.
I gave this property a 4 star rating (I think it deserves a 4.5 but I didn’t have that option) because of the following: We were only given 1 towel and washcloth per person, and no detergent to wash the towels. We had to go out and purchase towels and Tide. They only provided one packet to wash dishes in the dishwasher, but we’re required to wash the dishes before leaving. Also, we were given one small roll of paper towels and one roll of toilet paper per toilet. We had to purchase all of these items too. Lastly, there are a lot of steps!
I would definitely stay here again. I would just make sure to pack more stuff before I left my house.
Pros: LOCATION and VIEW. These two things are hard to beat with this property. It was close to everything in Kitty Hawk, on the Bay Drive walking trial (which was so convenient as a runner), and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The neighborhood and neighbors were very quiet and when sitting out on the deck, it was silent. We loved watching the blue herons fishing in the bay right in front of the house. The hot tub was incredible and we spent most of the weekend in there. The furnishings and finishes were so cute and beachy! I loved the upstairs finishes and color scheme. It felt calm and well coordinated. Loved that it was dog friendly! It was a good house for my dogs to relax and enjoy the weekend with us.
Cons: the exterior was not well maintained. Siding and deck were rough and could not walk on the deck without shoes. The lookout deck on the top floor did not feel super safe (we stepped out to watch a sunset). The interior was not super clean. Hair in shower, dog hair on bedding, dirt near baseboards. Rust on air vents. Sliding doors to outside were hard to open. There were only 2 of us staying here and we were only given 4 shower towels… no hot tub towels. We ended up having to use the same towels for shower and hot tub… so after our 2 day stay they were smelly. There were no kitchen towels.
Would stay here again for the location and view but would definitely consider the cleanliness and lack of towels!
Beautifully updated & decorated house, small but perfect size for our family of 4. The views of the sound were terrific, felt like you were on a boat! Hot tub out on the deck from the master was wonderful as well. Nice bike/walking path along the road which was perfect to walk our goldendoodle on. Short drive to the beach and we easily found parking.
2 feedback issues: there were lots of reminders to respect the neighbors that are apparently full time residents (noise, where you walk, etc). We only noticed 1 other house occupied in the row and these neighbors were powerwashing their own decks/balconies at 7:30AM the one day. It was frustrating esp with 2 little ones that barely sleep and were woken up :(
Also, would recommend to the property manager to get spider traps or spray there were quite a few medium sized black spiders that kept appearing upstairs.
