Located in Metchosin, just 30 minutes to Victoria or Sooke. Hidden Pond's luxury Gong Suite is the perfect romantic or family getaway for anyone looking for peace and tranquility. Spacious, two rooms with private entrance, basic kitchen facilities, luxury king bed, sofa bed, tastefully furnished with two sitting areas overlooking an amazing forest view makes this perfect for a couple or family. The suite includes the use of a hot tub, firepit, and just a short walk to our private beach, spring-fed swimming pond, orchard, and forest trails. The suite has a full-size bathroom with tub and shower, Air conditioning, Internet, TV, and basic kitchen (BQ with side-burner, kettle, coffee maker, breakfast grill, toaster oven, microwave, full-size fridge, sink and basic and spices and kitchen supplies. ) Pet-friendly and short and long stay rates are available.

Please note this suite has stairs and it is a walk down to the pond , so this might not be a great option for anyone who has mobility issues.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay

Our suite was very large, with all the amenities we could need. There were nice little touches such as cookies and muffins left for us. The location was great for what we were looking for- lots of trails and beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Magical place in the rainforest

This astonishing house sits in a huge property in the middle of the rain forest that includes its own pond and trails. Beautifully landscaped, the owners have taken care of every little detail around the house. We spent the entire fall and part of the winter at the Gong suite. The main room looks more like a presidential suite than a bedroom, and the massive windows overlooking the canopy forest are just unreal. Very nice porch and fire pit area below as well.Although too cold to swim in the pond, taking daily strolls around it and the trails was amazing and super peaceful. Our dog has never been happier, he enjoyed his private trails very much. He also became best friends with their 3 dogs, Mick, Leo and Sasha and now he misses them very much! The apartment is very comfortable, we loved spending days in it looking at the rain. The furniture has an elegant style that makes it very unique. The king bed is super comfortable, great rest on it. The kitchen area is separated in a different room and is also very spacious.Everything is neat and clean, Katy does a superb job. We had the apartment cleaned every week and access to the laundry also once a week. There is so much space that you hardly see the other guests and the privacy level is very high.Overall impressive real state that we were extremely lucky to share with Rob and Jo-Ann who are also part of making this experience so incredible, really beautiful people with great hearts. I understand now the exceptional reviews..

This is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The forest walk, the view of the forest from the comfortable and elegant living/bedroom, the many thoughtful amenities, the art, and the kindness of the hosts are unsurpassed.

Amazing getaway

We had so much fun at this great getaway. Our granddaughters swam, explored, picked and ate blueberries and blackberries, made homes for frogs. And in the evening when we were tired there was plenty of room for them to lounge and watch their favourite tv shows.

Beautiful home and area

The accommodations were outstanding. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated rooms which made us feel right at home. The kitchen was well supplied, linens were luxurious, and the bed SO comfortable. Spending the day at the pond and walking the trails was very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Delightful, divine elegance with so much to do & enjoy

How can I even begin to describe the extravagance of this place. It was incredible. It is very clear the hosts love what they do and take great pride in their property. I have never stayed in anything near as ornate and incredible! The decor and amenities are top-notch, just above and beyond. It's stunning, from the suite to the property grounds to the lagoon to even the little things, the TINIEST of details was covered. It has everything you need, it's a resort property with a cozy 'bnb feel. And of course the lagoon is beyond amazing. All aaaalll the things were there. Everything you need here is provided for. You don't even need to leave or do anything else but enjoy the space here. What an absolute treat to stay here It was the ultimate finish to our vacation on the island. ❤️

What an amazing stay! There were treats waiting for us and we were well cared for and welcomed by Bruce.The decor is uplifting, giving a positive energy - in large part to the incredible gong gracing the living space. There is plenty offered outside with a fire ring, spring fed pond, forest trails and a hot tub. What an awesome experience you offer your guests, thank you.

Adair Spring break trip

We arrived in the pouring rain and yet Joanne was outside to welcome us and ensure we knew where to park to best suit the front door access. We were thrilled when we walked in, the photos didn’t do the property justice as it was so much better than we had imagined it was going to be. Our coffee and baileys on the couch overlooking the wooded backyard quickly became a morning ritual - it was such a peaceful way to start our day! The muffins, cookies, fruit and juice was an added touch as were the other little things that made us feel very comfortable in our ‘home away from home’. We would really love to go back in the summer months to utilize the beautiful pond; it was very inviting. Thank you Robert and Joanne for giving us a place to ‘break up with stress’, now we start dreaming until next time.

Excellent couple retreat

Spacious hideaway!

This property is a neat gem, situated a 15 minute drive from Goldstream Park in a quiet rural location. Great hosts, willing to accomodate our rescue dog and our funky schedule over the weekend. The bed was really comfy and we had everything we needed and more. This accomodation is well outfitted with all you could wish for. Thank you Jo-Ann & Rob for the comfy stay!

Good for the soul

My husband, our 2 dogs, and I came over from the mainland for 2 nights. We stayed in the Gong Suite. The owner was there to greet us and give us the lay of the land. The suite was immaculate and much bigger than we expected. There were muffins and cookies left for us as well as basics in the fridge like water and cream for coffee. We were not expecting all that and it was greatly appreciated. The property is beautiful. It’s peaceful and has a lovely walking trail. The pond is a little slice of heaven. We are so glad we found this place. We will be back for sure.

Hi, we are Rob and Jo-Ann Kevala. We are both semi-retired now and enjoy life on this amazing 10 acre property. Never a shortage of gardening! We love dogs and have three of our own on the property. We welcome visitors with their own pets. Our goal in opening Hidden Pond was to share this amazing property with other amazing people and provide a luxury option for people who want to travel with their own pets.

Why they chose this property

Hidden Pond became a reality in 2020. As we began to develop our property and build trails through the forest we found an amazing spring-fed pond hidden in the woods. Alot of landscaping and a year of work we spent reclaiming this pond from the wild. Today it is the home of a private beach, pergola and where we spend our summer and winter months

What makes this property unique

Hidden Pond is a unique retreat. Often people come planning to visit Victoria and Metchosin, then find the pond and don't leave the property for their stay. Whether you choose to relax in the hot tub, sit on the beach, wander the forest trails on the property, play with your pet in the orchard or warm your toes at the firepit in the evenings you won't find a more relaxing getaway.
