Discover a charming 1920's cottage nestled in the heart of Dunedin, just 3 blocks from the water and downtown. This delightful cottage is ideally located 2 blks from the Pinellas Trail, the Fenway Hotel, and the Blue Jay's stadium.
Surrounded by lush greenery, the cottage boasts a private outdoor space perfect for you and your dog. Inside, you'll find a sunny kitchen, a spacious living and dining area, and comfortable beds to ensure a wonderful stay. Come and enjoy a memorable stay here!
This cozy cottage offers tranquility, elegance and light. A well stocked kitchen, luxury linens and toiletries, some good books, as well as fast internet and 2 smart TVs with YouTubeTV provide a real sense of relaxation and pampering. The space offers versatility and privacy for visitors, especially two couples, in that the front bedroom has an entrance from the front patio, as well as through the living room. There is a good sense of privacy and separation between the two bedrooms, and the bathroom is in the hallway between the kitchen and the back bedroom. Having two separate outdoor spaces- one in front and one in back- gives many options according to the time of day/angle of the sun, and your level of sociability.
Your cottage has its own private quiet back patio and a sheltered front patio under an ancient camphor tree overlooking Douglas Avenue, a relatively busy street by Dunedin standards- a lot of bikers, people walking their dogs, as well as cars etc. You have two parking spaces available for your cars. There is a laundry building that is shared with the cottage at the back of the property, and we provide laundry detergent, bleach and dryer sheets. We provide two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a cooler for your visits to quiet Honeymoon Island State Park (our favorite, 15 minutes north) or bustling Clearwater Beach, a 15 minute drive south.
This area is really what Dunedin is about- the neighborhood has many cottages from the 20s and the 40s, and is part of the walkable central old downtown that makes Dunedin such fun. People are biking over to the Pinellas Trail, or walking or riding their golf carts up Douglas to Main Street for all the restaurants and shops and the Farmers' Market. The sky just seems bigger and the sunsets are grand.
Although many of Dunedin's attractions are within walking or biking distance, there is a public bus that runs up Douglas. The Jolley Trolley, a fun ride which runs from over in Clearwater Beach up to Tarpon Springs, can be picked up either three blocks away on Edgewater Drive or four blocks north on Main Street. Uber and taxis are also available.
We live just a few minutes away and are always available by phone, email or in person for questions, problems, restaurant or real estate advice, but we leave you with complete privacy unless you ask. The sunsets are gorgeous two blocks away on the water, but they are also beautiful just while sitting out in front of the cottage watching the world go by!
We welcome your smaller dog (only one dog per stay, under 20 pounds), with a non-refundable $75 pet fee (additional cost for stays longer than a week) .
