Woodpark Cottage is a spacious family friendly, 7 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 4100 sq ft, four season home. Situated on a private treed lot in beautiful Southcott Pines, 1.5km from the main strip in Grand Bend and just 700 meters from private Sun Beach, and those perfect Lake Huron sunsets.

Backing on to the Old Ausable River Channel, fishing and kayaking access right in the backyard, or hop on the Ausable River Nature Trail and walk into Grand Bend in 15 min. Lower level walk out to large, private flagstone patio with fire pit.

We had a multi generation getaway. The space was perfect for it! Comfortable beds, roomy common areas. We had time and the space to be together or find quiet moments alone. We would definitely recommend this place! We may come back ourselves!

Thanksgiving getaway

This Vrbo was impeccable. All the rooms were beyond our expectations by the needs of a range of ages that were brought there from a three year old to the adults. I would definitely book this VRBO again thank you to the hosts for a wonderful stay.

Perfect House

This house had everything needed for a large family to stay and be comfortable. Living room is very spacious and plenty of comfortable seating. The fireplace was a perfect touch to the room as we sat around and played games and enjoyed time together. The kitchen had everything we needed just as if we were in our own home. Kid friendly with toys, Pac-Man game and pingpong. I’d highly recommend this house. We will be back for another stay.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and so clean. The hosts were amazing to book with and the cottage giude provided gave great recommendations for points of interest in the area. The welcome wine and smores supplies was such a nice touch as well!

Perfect 65th Birthday Celebration Getaway

From booking to check in everything was perfect. The cottage was just as advertised on the site. The cottage was spotless and the nice touch of wine and smores welcome was much appreciated. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't supplied. Every question was answered immediately by Stephanie. Can't say enough how perfect this home was for us. If you have a large family or group it's the perfect spot for you.

Very nice for family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this home. It was very clean and comfortable in a wonderful peaceful area. there was a children playground very near by which we enjoyed with our grandchildren. We recommend.

Hot tub confusion

There was some confusion about a hot tub. The listing include hot tub as an amenity but there were no photos or instructions in the welcome package so we weren’t sure if there was one or not. Turned out there wasn’t one.

Family Get Away

A lovely cottage and perfect for our family reunion. There was lots of space between all the bedrooms, a very nice deck and outside space. We BBQ several meals and nice that it was hooked up to the house so never ran out of propane / gas. The cottage is a quick walk to beach and a longer but nice walk along the river to Grand Bend. Excellent hosts, quiet neighbours, no issues and very clean. Would recommend highly. Thank-you!

Great getaway

Property is just as described, no surprises. We had 14 people between 4 and 68 and it suited us all. I would say the only thing we wished there was, was a place for the kids to play outside. The property is large but no grassy yard to kick a ball etc. We all had a great time

Lovely getaway place!

We had a great experience at Woodpark! Beautiful spacious house for our group with rooms to spare! Lovely community, a few minutes walk to beach. The place was clean with everything we needed and many extras provided! Would definitely love to stay again!

One of best places we have stayed at between Christmas and New Years.

This place was as advertised. It was spacious and comfortable. We had a great time with the ping pong table. We used the fire pit and barbeque without issue, even during the inclement weather. The guide for leaving was detailed and easy to follow. There was also instructions on how to get to the beach and great places to eat. We would stay again.

Ladies weekend getaway

We had a great time at this Grandbend cottage with lots of room for all 7 of us. We enjoyed canoeing, hiking and shopping, along with just staying in and relaxing in front of a beautiful fireplace. The bedding was soft and super clean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Overall a beautiful home and we would definitely consider returning.

Perfect weekend

Beautiful spacious cottage! We had a big group including kids and there was plenty of room. Kids loved the river in the backyard, saw turtles, fish and a beaver. Loved the big fire pit and a beautiful neighbourhood to walk around and close to the beach. The cottage was also super clean with everything you could need. We hope to come back :)

Johnson Family Vacation 2022

Excellent amenities for a family ages 5-79yrs - 2 large TVs, toys and games (ping pong table, fisher price toys, video games, puzzles) - selection of outdoor seating from small screened in porches to large fire pit with ample wood supplied - nestled in a wooded area with walkways through the woods to: a sandy private beach; a marina with cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlor; and a bridge to the town of GrandBend We will visit again

Christmas Getaway

We had the best time. Despite the snow storm on our travels and the power outage, this was a Christmas to remember. Stephanie and Lori were super accommodating with everything and always quick to respond. Thank you both for making this Christmas so very special for us. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!

Trider Senior sibling getaway

Our senior siblings had a wonderful time at our week long getaway at Woodpark cottage. Loads of room for our family, to eat drink & reminisce. Ideal Home in Ideal Location

We reunited with our family for a week and the home and location exceeded our expectations. The hosts were responsive to questions as we prepared for our stay. The home is clean, spacious with room to spread out on rainy days. The children enjoyed the games provided at the house and many hours were spent on the beach a short walk away. We enjoyed being in the Grand Bend area again and revisiting nearby Stratford and Bayfield as well. Thank you Stephanie and Lori. We made precious family memories at your slice of paradise.

Amazing place

We wanted for nothing, I cannot say enough about the property or location. There were supposed to be 12 of us and that may have ended up being a bit cramped but ended up with 9 ladies and it was just glorious, the house the location the amenities everything top notch. The detail put into the inside of the house was adorable small little touches everywhere, we stay somewhere different every year it sure will be hard to top this year's stay! And the added touch of the welcome note with two bottles of wine and smores fixings was so kind first time we've been treated so well, I'd recommend this place to anyone and already have actually.

This One Is A Gem!

Our work travel group just spent a few nights here and every aspect of this house and the process of renting exceeded our expectations. The view from living room window looks like a post card, the privacy from trees makes it seem like you’re in a remote location, beautifully decorated, stocked with any supply you many need and then some. The white lights above fire pit at night are stunning. Location is perfect, short walk to beach grocery store and main strip. Huge kitchen accommodated our pasta dinner and big breakfasts with room to spare. Easy self check in, maps of area, wifi code. They have thought of everything. Stephanie thank you for having us, for trusting us with the house and for the thoughtful gift you left on table. Also for always replying to my questions instantly! Great memories made. We will be back.

Fantastic place for a larger group or a couple of families!

The upstairs has a great space for the adults, with two comfy and ample sectionals, and some nice board games to play. The downstairs, though a bit dated, has comfy areas for the teens to have their own space, with multiple love seats, many bedrooms and a good sized bar fridge. Many tournaments were played by all at the ping pong table; The Pac-Man mini arcade game was also a hit, as was the great fireplace outside. The kitchen is very large and stocked with pretty much anything you can think of. The hosts were very generous with everything from coffee pods, to ample dishwasher soap, etc. If you are very into smoothies, or are particular, I’d suggest bringing a higher power blender. We also preferred bottle water that we bought (the store is 5 min away). The patio outside is also great, with a nice table, chairs and big umbrella. The neighbourhood is wonderfully peaceful and secluded from the chaos of the town. The area is like a rainforest with plenty of humidity. Even though you are close to your neighbours, each house has enough trees between that you feel very secluded. The hosts were INCREDIBLY welcoming, with notes and special items. They were also very responsive and receptive to our feedback (at least one mattress is due for replacement, and others are pretty firm). The private beach is absolutely beautiful, and gives you a break from the clamour of the public beaches, with no search for parking (I wish we had used it more!). Unfortunately for us, the channel (which is reachable via a path behind the house) is now dammed at both ends, resulting in more marsh than river and thus not ideal for kayaking. It does provide a nice path for walking along the water. On calm days you may be able to kayak from the beach, or on breezy days you can enjoy the waves. Highly recommend.

Woodpark cottage is a large enough space for 2 families, extended families or multi-generational families to come together. We are walking distance to a beautiful private beach and also the fun of the main strip of Grand Bend. We also back onto the Old Ausable River Channel. Bring your kayaks or canoes and fishing rods! End your day on the large backyard flagstone patio with fire pit.
