Worthy accommodations

This was my second stay at this one bedroom home. It's an easy place to feel "at home"...instantly, when I walked into the house. I wouldn't consider any other place to stay when I return to Thunder Bay.

Delighful

This clean little house had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was well equipted, the bed was comfortable, patio was delightful and internet was reliable. The house was walking distance to stores. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Thunder Bay.

2nd time at this hime

Our second stay at this home for my hubby and I. In town to visit family. While the kitchen is well equipped with appliances, kitchen utensils etc it would be nice to have a few more dinner plates, dishes and glasses. The dining table is set up for 6 but only four dinner and 4 small plates. This time around we noticed an unpleasant moldy smell coming through the heating vents which is a little concerning. This is early spring but the yard needs some TLC. We sat out a few times to enjoy the sun. Otherwise this home is clean and tidy.

Relaxing weekend in the city!

The house was cute and perfect for a weekend girls trip to the city. I have no complaints and would stay there again. I love the artwork the home owner chose to display in the living room. I would like to suggest less scented plug ins for those who may have allergies, as my friend struggled a bit in that regard. The sofa's are a little hard for me and may make it difficult for an extended stay. (I'm constantly tying to find a home with a recliner due to back issues.) A recliner would have been a welcomed addition. All-in-all, it was so much nicer than booking a hotel! Thank you.

Great atmosphere

Came to Thunder Bay for my granddaughter first birthday… was able to enjoy their company in a homey environment… so many small details made the experience positive… kitchen was amazingly well stocked with small appliances and all I needed to serve them a meal … definitely would book again!

Pleasant stay

Had a great stay at this home. It was the perfect small place for my husband and I to stay and visit family in town. Everything you could need was available. Well stocked kitchen. The home was spotless and we liked the added touch of having Christmas decorations. Would definitely book again for a future visit.

Perfect for a single or couple

This one bedroom accommodation is a rare find if you’re looking for a place independent of the noise and long hallways of standard hotels. The owner has provided guests with the amenities of your own home in a spacious but cozy setting. Services of a small mall are within walking distance…a grocery sore, drug store, dollar store, and the ubiquitous Tim’s for coffee shop convenience. The neighborhood is family oriented and felt safe. I would highly recommend it also as a lone traveller such as I was.

Everything you need in great location...

The owner has gone above and beyond to make this place homey and comfortable. Even nice Christmas decorations! Very comfortable bed and furnishings, nice deck and yard. Quiet neighborhood close to everything. Definitely will be back!

Disappointed

To be fare, I also have to be honest. If my wife.and I were childless and in our twenties or thirties, I would give the owner a 4+ star rating. But, we both are in our mid to late seventies & childless. I feel that this house in the States would not be compliant to standards set by the ADA. My wife and I have mobility issues. I have contestant issues. And I have allergy issues . The mobility issues we handled just fine. But, for people with worse conditions than ours, beware there is a step down from the living room to the dining, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. This level change is about 6”. From this level there is probably a 9” rise to get into the bedroom. Addressing my countenance issues, I had to negotiate the level Change as well as navigate through the dining room and the kitchen to get to the toilet. One of the allergy issues I have is with molds. This can be of any kind. Written in the manual was “don’t close the door to the laundry due to mold issues.” To help moderate this issue, I believe that the owner installed scent defusers in every room. I know I have been tough in this evaluation. The cure was as bad as the problem, at least for me. But my allergies turned into sever Asmatic attacks during our stay. We ended up driving home from TB to the far eastern end of MI’s Upper Peninsula giving up two days and three nights of our vacation forfeiting several Hundred dollars beside.
