Oceanfront West Coast Vacation Home-Surfside Cottage with hot tub

Experience the West Coast of Vancouver Island at 'SurfSide Cottage' this is a lovely fully equipped ocean front three bedroom home. This home offers the experience of high bank ocean front with a 6 person j345 jacuzzi hot tub on the side of the cliff and also has a stair case access to the private pebble beach.

SurfSide features a contemporary style home with fir floors, cedar ceilings and an airtight wood stove for romantic nights. Relax on the deck while overseeing the ocean wildlife as this is the place to get away from it all! Take in the fresh ocean breeze and feast your eyes with the scenery.

For the active at heart one can hike the nearby Juan de Fuca Trail which is part of the West coast trail or one can also visit the Botanical Beach in Port Renfrew.

This home is rented at low season rates by the day, by the week or month from October to May. Shoulder season months are June and September and high season is in July and August. No monthly rentals in shoulder or high season.

Small 10 people weddings can be arranged on a case by case but additional insurance fee required.

IMPORTANT: Please watch the video on this site for the hot tub user guide. Also read the hardcopy manual located in the towel basket before using the hot tub.

Note: Base rate is for 2 guests. Additional cost for daytime or overnight guests as well as pets. ONLY registered guests permitted on the property.
The third bedroom has a separate exterior basement entrance accessible at the back (ocean side) of the house.

Great weekend getaway!

An amazing place to slow down with friends and get lost in the view of the ocean waves! Hot tub was relaxing and access to the ocean was a bonus! Would stay again!

Absolutely gorgeous!

Surfside Cottage is so comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location and view is unsurpassed. We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. A beautiful piece of property. It is in a good location in that Sooke and the hiking trails are an easy drive. Note that the second bathroom is accessible by going outside and down some stairs; a detail we missed in the property description. A wonderful vacation!

Relaxation with a view

Very comfortable, very clean, well equipped and very well managed. The view from one of three decks is picture postcard! Relaxing in the hot tub while looking at the wonderful view is special! A wonderful place to relax and enjoy all the beaches and hiking of the southwest coast of the island. Hope to return!

Seaside Get-away!!

If a water view and hearing the waves crash onto the shore then this is the place for you. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at this great property. The hot tub was an added tub was a bonus.

Luxury oceanfront home base between family adventures in Sooke

Absolutely spectacular ocean scenery and up close view of sea life outside every window. The property is stunning, located close to everything in Sooke and close to day trips in the area. The house was cozy and beds were super comfortable. Equipped kitchen, gracious host and easy communication. Everything was perfect. Would love to come back!

This was such a wonderful property. The access to the water, the patios, and hot tub were highlights for us. We enjoyed the space and the beauty surrounding it. The home gets hot in the day time, so important to close the blinds and have the fan blowing.

Absolutely lovely

My husband and I stayed here for a quiet honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. The spot is just gorgeous, with beautiful views of the ocean complete with lots of sea life. It's clear that lots of thought has gone into making the cottage as comfortable as possible, with everything one might need or want available and conveniently placed (towels and slides by the door to the hot tub, robes available in the bedroom, easy-to-use hot tub cover). I can't recommend Surfside Cottage strongly enough.

This incredibly well equipped home exceeded our expectations in every way. We spent hours watching the variety of sea life out on the ocean and luxuriated in the hot tub every evening. I have not slept so well in quite a long time. This is a great place to recharge your batteries and reconnect with loved ones. We’ll be back!

Amazing family vacation!

Our family stayed a week here and it was magical! The view is incredible, ocean out every window! Pictures don’t do it justice. Great sitting areas outside and in (including an awesome hot tub)! Being able to get down to our own little beach was amazing! The cottage has a lovely rustic charm, so cozy and inviting with everything you could possibly need. Ines has thought of everything! This was our second time staying here and we love it! Can’t wait to go back again!

Amazing spot!

My husband and I spent 4 glorious days here! Amazing views wether you’re inside, sitting on the patio, in the hot tub or down on your own little private beach! Property is beautiful!! There are neighbours but they are far enough away that you don’t notice them! Inside the cottage is lovely!! So cozy, great lay out, comfy furniture and beds and nice and clean! Everything you could possibly need is there! So many thoughtful little touches that don’t go unnoticed! Thank you so much for sharing this little piece of paradise!!! We can’t wait to come back this summer with our two girls!!!

Enjoying the West Coast

Surfside Cottage was well stocked and beautifully decorated. It has ever-changing views of the Juan de Fuca Strait, crashing waves, and seasonal marine wildlife visible from every spot in the house. Rock beach down below and in either direction. Close to Sooke for groceries or eating out plus local sites to explore. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!!

Now, that is a long time ago! I am a registerd nurse and love my job in the community. I have two adult sons. I also love my place out in Sooke that I share with many people all over the world.It is the perfect place to get away from our busy lives.

Why they chose this property

This home was my first home that I owned and never could bring myself to sell it. Renting out month to month could not give me the options to enjoy it so the vacation rental option was perfect for us!
