Great dog friendly stay

I had a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen. The suite was fully newly renovated, very spacious and clean. For a solo traveller with a dog, this was a perfect getaway out of the rain for a couple nights on our road trip.

The resort is nice, but not excellent. The rooms are in good condition but in need of some TLC. One hot tub was not working and there were no towels at the hot tub. Front desk seemed unconcerned about no towels.

dont know if I would stay there again

FIRST was one day at 3:30 in the morning a car alarm started going off in the parking lot. it kept going until 6:30 am when the car battery finally died. I called the front desk and no one would answer, I repeatedly called security and no one would answer. finally a found a random number with our check in info and called it and enede up talking to a girl st a location in jacksonville (we are in colorado) and she apperently is there night shift supoort...she as well coulcdnt get ahold of security. and never followed up with us to check if the problem was solved. in the end i had to call the local sherrifs department. SECOND, they tride to overcharge us. I booked our stay through hotels.com on my Mastercard. when we checked into the hotel I gave them my visa for the deposit. i went out for dinner and my visa didnt work. I knew it wasnt anywhere near maxed so i called in and found out that the hotel had charged me twice for a stay that was prepiad for when i purchesed it from hotels.com. when i asked the hotel about it they told me that hotels.com was responsable for the overcharge. but that was imposibble because hotels.com never had my visa number. that purchase was made on a diffrent card. so they were lying to me. after i pointed that out and then told them if they didnt fix it i would get the people of visa on it, they then found and fixed the error.

Great location. Check in/check out was easy. Hot tub and sauna are still under construction so had to drive to the other location for hot tubbing. Considering there is a resort fee charged this should be discounted due to not all amenities being available without driving to another location. Other than that the room was spacious and decently outfitted for a hotel room.

The exterior is a little run down, but the interior has been remodeled. There were several aspects of the remodel that seemed half done, with a toilet paper roll hanging from one screw in the wall, random holes and screws sticking out, a “barn door” that wouldn’t stay on its track. It looks really good intentioned just missed the mark a bit. The heater didn’t seem to be able to keep up with how cold it was outside and the room was pretty chilly. However, it was clean and looked nice from a distance. It would be a good place to stay if you can get a discount on some higher end places and are expecting it to not be high end. It has a full kitchen which is nice.

Was easy to find and our room was very clean. The resort was in the middle of remodeling so it is hard to say how clean the main areas are normally, also with the remodel the free breakfast area was one folding table and nowhere to sit. The location has several restaurants and quite a bit of shopping near by. You also have easy access to the public transportation for Steamboat. All in all It was a nice room with nice beds, a comfortable couch and the bathroom was big with plenty of towels and rags. The gentleman checking us in was very kind, friendly and efficient.

We were very impressed with how clean the entire community. The only thing that made it hard to sleep either night was that on the first evening (late) the door lock broke. I returned it in the morning and i was under the impression it would be fixed.. it was just very hard to sleep with unlocked doors. It was nice and i think we would come back. Even.
