Good location but the appartments have not been renovated in a long time, which gives off a sad vibe. No A/C in the roooms. Do not book during peak periods because you will end up paying a higher price.

What a delight to stay in this property! A lovely 1-bedroom sunlight-filled apartment, with an elevator, and just an easy 5-10 minute walk from all the sights we wanted to see in Berlin. A great find and I'll certainly stay here again the next time I am in Berlin!

Even though it was only 17C outside, the rooms were constantly hot, and we were forced to keep the windows open 24/7. Unfortunately there were no screens on the windows so we had to put up with insects and insect bites our entire visit. The bathroom door squeaked like a 1000lb drawbridge, so when any one of our group would use the facilities at night, it would wake up the entire apartment. Bad pillows and uncomfortable sleep every night. Terrible experience.

Loved living here during my weeklong stay!

I loved staying here! The location is excellent for both sightseeing and the business locations I needed that were a short walk away in Potzdamer Platz. The kitchens are well equipped with anpplicances and there is an excellent grocery store two blocks away though there are also a variety of restaurants on the main floor. Be sure to bring your own toiletries. Staff are kind and helpful if/when you need. As there are also permanent residents throughout the building, it’s great to feel like you are living in Berlin while you’re there!

Good location; hours of service too limited

This hotel/apartment complex is out of the way if you are looking for clubs and night life, but it was close to many of the east side Berlin memorials and sights AND had a good selection of restaurants, the Berlin Mall, and a grocery within minutes by foot. The apartment was very large and some updates have been implemented since the times when this would have been housing in east Berlin. The one major downside to this accommodation is that the office is only open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The staff are extremely helpful; however, the time restriction to speak with them presented some challenges. Luggage "storage' (if arriving before check-in or leaving your luggage to pick up later) is in the lobby so there is limited security for your luggage. Guests arriving after 6 p.m. have to make special arrangements to pick up their key from a secure box. We had a problem with the wifi and had to wait until the next day to speak with someone.

Great Location but needs improvemrnts.

From the photos, apartment looks like first rate, but actually just plain furnishings, although spacious. kitchen is basic, I suppose they discourage cooking, there is no microwave to even heat take out food. No coffe, tea, cream, sugar nor shampoo and body wash. These things as a traveller I would not think packing as I thought it is given. The blanket in the double bed is too small for a couple to share, the bathroom smells a bit , I think needs deep cleaning. Having said that, the property has excellent location, close to everthing. Brandenburg gate is just a few minutes away, checkpoint Charlie and the wall are walkable. I would come back for the location, but needs some improvement.

Great location and spacious

The apartment is located in the former East Germany, close to where the border was. All the attractions are nearby that we were interested in, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie etc. There apartment is well equipped and even had laundry in the unit. There’s a full grocery store within a 5 min walk and restaurants right next door. My only complaint were the hallways are dark, dirty and on the first floor smelled like sewage. That was quite the contrast from the apartment itself that was modern, bright and clean.

Great central location to tourist sites including Brandenburg Gate. Within 5 minutes walk to Underground subway station, Mall of Berlin and a large supermarket for food and drinks. Across the street is a nice pasts pizza place at affordable prices. Apartment unit was very spacious but minmal furnishings. I didn't like the following: No daily housekeeping service and only 1 large bath towel per person with heated towel rack. The stove didn't work, the hallway light outside our unit was out so dark. Plus the kitchen window curtain rod kept falling off the support when opening the curtaind. Nice bathroom but the shower head was plugged so less than 10% of the holes had water coming out of it.

The location was awesome! Close to the Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, and other attractions. 30 minute walk to Alexander Platz, and close to trains. Many restaurants and cafes close by, as well as a large supermarket. The apartment was roomy, clean, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We would stay there again!

Excellent location and very clean. I was disappointed at the limited amount of toilet paper provided for a week stay and I think there should be a towel service. We were left with one towel per person for the entire trip.

Highly recommend Apartments am Brandenburger Tor

Couldn't ask for a better location, within 2 km of most major sites in any direction. Great amenities nearby: 2 story supermaarkComfortable, spacious, quiet, bright apartment. No services-though that's what we expected. Friendly, helpful staff spoke excellent English (lucky for us). Note: the lift only goes to the 7th floor, but there are apartments on the 8th--something to note, if carrying suitcases up the extra flight is a concern. The single English language station seemed to cut out on our 2nd day. Still, this apartment was perfect for our 5 day stay.

Great Location in Central Berlin

Didn't know what to expect since this was my first time visiting Berlin! The trip from the Berlin HBF (Central City Train Station) to our hotel was a 3 minute train ride and a 4 minute walk. From there, we were able to visit everything we wanted to by foot or a very short train ride. The apartments are very close to many historical hot spots, I DEFINITELY recommend to anyone coming to Berlin! So comfortable to have a full apartment vs. a hotel room.

I'm going to clarify one thing from the top - this isn't a hotel, there is no room service, restaurant or other facilities. There is a front desk, that's very well run with helpful and friendly staff, but it closes at 6pm. We stayed in two separate apartments - one for four people and one for eight. Both apartments are big with great natural light. I wasn't sure if the company owns the buildings the apartments are in, or the individual apartments within the buildings. The photos make them appear high-end but they are not. The finishings, flooring and furniture are all ikea. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, sink and the basic equipment for cooking and eating. The larger apartment was massive and bright. The bathroom smelled a bit like it could use another clean but everything else was ok. It was on the 8th/top floor, although the lift only went up to the 7th, so we had to drag our cases the extra distance. The hallways were scuzzy - not dirty as much as undecorated and unwelcoming, and a bit alarming at first. A bit of a social-housing vibe. Our direct neighbours had a party the first night we were there - no music but lots of loud talking and banging doors. We went over around midnight and banged on the door. They answered and quietened down for a minute or two but then kept on going for a couple more hours. It didn't happen any of the other nights, and the front desk said I should call the police if it happens again. I don't know if they were tenants or guests.

Convenient downtown apartment

Great Apartment

This apartment was great! Super location, we could walk to Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial was right next door, train stations a block away, hop on, hop off buses close by; we even walked back from Alexandera platz. Lots of great restaurants and bars right in the neighbourhood. Good grocery store about a block away which was handy as the apartment had a very nice kitchen. Highly recommend this apartment.
