This is the third time back now for me. Price is right. And the location is within easy walking distance to the Metro. No problems encountered.

Very nice hotel, staff, price, but...

Very nice hotel, staff, price, but even superior rooms misses ... everything :) No fridge, safe, microwave oven, fan, iron, coffee machine... the TV is small. The air conditioning is modern though and a fan, an iron, a kettle and a safe (at reception) are available for 20 euro deposit each. Parking is not free ;( 10 EURO per day is too much for this location.

This is a Highway Hotel

Just a heads up for anyone looking to use this hotel as a base fro Amsterdam travel - it can be done but there has to be better options if you do not have a vehicle. This is a highway (freeway) hotel - on the corner of two freeways. Yes, I was able to walk along the freeway thru a dark park to get to the train in 10-15 minutes but the inconvenience of being out in the middle of no where - no shops, no restaurants etc made my stay miserable. It was clean, a little worn, fine if you were staying the night driving on, but no ice, no hair dryer, miniature tv, made it less than desirable for me.

Still working on improvements and renovations

Our three night stay at this hotel went very well; the hotel is undergoing renovations which are still underway in some parts of the hotel. The renovation work only takes place during the day so the evenings are quiet. Our room was fully renovated, quite spacious, comfortable, and the new decor was very nice. Staff was friendly despite having to work in a crowded temporary reception area because the usual hotel lobby was unavailable due to the undergoing renovations. The hotel is located within a 15 minute walk to the local subway line stop which can take you to the centre of Amsterdam. There is free car parking on the premises. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel was conveniently located, just off the A9, and check in was easy. The room was a bit out dated and basic, but reflected the price. Parking was extra, but that's not out of the ordinary for the Amsterdam area. Friendly staff, and secure baggage storage. Good one night stay.

voor het boeken van Hotel Gouden Tulip hebben wij de prijzen van de hotels bekeken allemaal te duur voor 1 nacht de Golden Tulip was redelijk met de prijs De beoordelingen gekeken dat was niet altyd positief Wij zijn toch gegaan Alles was schoon en goed verzorgt over het hotel zijn wij zeer positief Wij waarschuwen voor La Place het avond eten en het ontbijt zeer ongezellig en veels te duur

We zaten waarschijnlijk in het goedkope deel van het hotel in een absolute basic-kamer: twee bedden, twee stoelen en een tv. Verder was de kamer hard toe was aan grondige Tsjarenovatie. Maar de prijs was er ook naar.

Aufenthalt in Ordnung, vier Sterne sehe ich nicht

Im ersten Zimmer, das uns zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, war die Fensterscheibe gesprungen, im Bett waren Haare und das Wasser im Waschbecken lief nicht ab. An der Rezeption war man dankbar für diese Hinweise, wollte jedoch nichts weiter unternehmen, da das Hotel ausgebucht war. Nachdem ich die Frage, ob mich diese Mängel stören würden, mit ja beantwortet hatte, fand man schließlich doch ein Ersatz-Zimmer. Das war ganz in Ordnung. Den Allgemeinzustand des Hotels würde ich als "abgewohnt" beurteilen. Wie das Hotel zu den vier Sternen, die über dem Eingang prangen, kommt, weiß ich nicht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war einigermaßen akzeptabel. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis nicht umwerfend, aber in Ordnung. Parkplatz ausreichend vorhanden. Warum dafür 12,50 pro Tag verrechnet werden ist nicht ganz verständlich, wenn man weiß, dass die nächste öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung etwa 10-15 Gehminuten (je nach Kondition) entfernt ist. In der Nähe der nächstgelegenen Metro-Station ist übrigens ein Gratis-Parkplatz (park&ride). Wenn man schnell vom Hotel zur Metro ging, dauerte es 40 Minuten bis zum Hauptbahnhof. Das Personal war - wie in vielen Hotels - unterschiedlich. Von ausgesprochen freundlich bis eher schlecht gelaunt war alles dabei. Für einen weiteren Aufenthalt in Amsterdam würde ich jedenfalls nach Alternativen suchen. Die Lage habe ich selbst ausgesucht, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war o.k. Fazit: In Ordnung, jedoch keine Empfehlung.

Restaurant is modern en netjes. Hotel is super dicht bij de Arena als je gebruik wilt maken van P+R naar Amsterdam. De kamers schoon maar gedateerd. Het uitzicht vanuit restaurant is echter prachtig. Daarom komen we ook regelmatig terug.
