We enjoyed our stay at the apartment, the kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have a coffee on the terrace and watch the kids play in the pool. It was a short walk into town and very walkable to the beach. We would recommend to others and would come stay here again!

Great sunset views over the bay of Carvoeiro. Nice to be slightly removed from tthe town thanks to the steep hilltop location. Room sizes were big with generous balconies, living rooms etc.

We had two units and both were very dated, comfortable for those used to 3 star and below level accomodations, mostly long term stay guests and better suited for an older crowd. Be aware different units may have drastically different finishes and furnishings. Relatively poor customer service at desk and like the town the locals are abivalent and unfriendly. Doesn't feel particularly safe. The same property management company has newer developments which may be better, but it certainly feels like nodoby cares at Monte Durado as it ages not so gracefully.

12 day stay in Monte Dourado

We stayed for 12 nights at this resort, and found it very comfortable. Apartment was quite large, 2 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen with stove and oven, toaster, coffee maker, washer (no dryer), even dishwasher, nice terrace, free parking. The resort is very close to the centre, and we walked to the village every day. The resort is clean, apartment is cleaned 6 days a week. No complaints, except of the Internet quality. There were times we could not even check the email. It was not possible to use Skype to call out. The complex had pools, and one is heated, but we did not use it because there was construction going on and it was quite noisy and dusty. We went to the Marinha beach instead - incredibly beautiful spot! Overall it's a great resort for a long stay.

Quiet resort.No frills.

We'll run complex. High quality pools and poolside slumbering. Apartment style with hit and miss kitchen set up so be prepared to purchase salt pepper oil if you want the basics. 5 minutes to the village shops. Yes it's a hill and it is steep but the resort gets you close to the village. There is another road in less steep than the main option if this is your problem. But hey it's once or twice a day and taxi's come to the resort for further a field travel.

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wurde sogar in den 5 Tagen komplett gereinigt und neue Handtücher gebracht. Es war alles vorhanden was man brauchte. Strand und Ort zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Rezeption sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Had an amazing week at Monte Dourado resort. Apartments are huge, very clean and well equipped. The pools and grounds are beautiful and well kept and the apartments are perfectly located, just minutes from the beautiful beach, many restaurants and shops. I have to give a mention to the wonderful staff, in particular Esmeralda and Silvia who helped make our stay perfect. Thank you. Highly recommend and we hope to be back xx

Property was in a great location with fantastic views of the town and it to sea. Beds were comfy but the bathrooms very tired and in need of refurbishment. Still has original fittings from the 1990s.

Lovely resort

Our appartment was a 2 bed ground floor and was really big in size with a nice patio right on the pool. The pools were all based around a group of appartments and were well looked after. The resort is at a top of a hill but a nice walk down to the town and beach with everything you need a good selection of lovely restaurants Really enjoyed our stay.
