A lot of construction on that part of 56th but once your ride finds the big wood doors of the hotel you are ok. Reception staff was great, room was great and as expected.Desk,chair and work set up fantastic.Best shower (rain style)in last 25 years-they must have 1 inch pipes. Bed great.No coffee in room but available in lobby in morning. I travel with collapsible kettle and NES instant. Small bar fridge for milk-24 hour food store right next door. Did not do it but they have a 6-7pm daily wine reception.Although I do not need it, very courteous valet, opening doors, asking if help needed, water, transport-very well trained & managed staff altogether-it’s appreciated. Location central, will return.

Location Superb but Not the Room

The location could not be better and the staff is very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is excellent - even includes nespresso machine. And regular coffee is also good.So what is wrong - the room! Very musty smell and not properly cleaned. We were moved but second room no better and ceiling is awful.Also the additional 25 dollars a day for services that should be included in the price is an annoyance. Just charge more.

Excellent location with a resto savvy concierge

The hotel is in a fantastic location being close to the park, great restaurants, MoMA and Grom’s gelato shop :) the concierge made some great resto recommendations and the staff were very accommodating. Our flight into nyc was early and they let us into the room before noon. The only area for improvement would be the pillows on the bed. They could use an upgrade! everything else was excellent and we would stay there again.

Very nice place

The hotel was nice, but there is not coffee machine in the room? and no ironing board? They gave us coupons for a coffee for the snack counter, but there was only one person working there and boy was it slow! So slow that it was pointless. I wouldn`t waste my time waiting for a cup of coffee when I`m in NYC.
