Great location in financial district near ferry wharf to get to cruise ship and Staten Island. Check- in was easy and staff (Ethan) was friendly and accommodating to help get early check-in.

1. We had some issues with the room we were in - although they were addressed, it was annoying that we had take the time to bring them up and also show them the issues. 2. Kitchenette, common kitchen, and laundry were all nice features, however I did not feel they Justified the price. Unless you brought cooking spices and oils (Bring Your Own), the most you could do was to boil water for coffee / tea. Laundry - you would have to have prepared your own soap.

We had a wonderful stay. The suite was great and location was wonderful: we were able to take a Jersey ferry to within half a block of our hotel, to/from Brooklyn and Rockaway Beach. Just a few blocks from ferries to Liberty and Ellis islands, Staten Island, subway stations, great restaurants and historic pubs. But what will bring us back to Placemakr is their staff. They were simply wonderful. Helpful, kind, knowledgeable and fun.

My group booked the PlaceMakr for two nights while we were in Manhattan to watch the Yankees play. The place itself is in a nice location in the south, close to the World Trade Center and the Brooklyn bridge. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. We dealt with 3 or 4 staff at the front desk during our stay and they all made sure all of our needs were taken care of. They also communicated well with each other so we didn’t have to have the same conversation multiple times with different people. My buddy and I had our luggage lost by Air Canada, and they were very helpful in securing the bags when they arrived, and notifying us when needed. I actually had my bag delivered after I checked out, and they still accepted it, held it for me, and called me when it arrived. Forever thankful. The rooms are unique and quite spacious, with cool features like Murphy beds and sliding doors. It was nice to have a full fridge for our beers, as well as a kitchen. The building has a nice communal terrace balcony to have breakfast or a bbq if wanted, as well as a nice gym, and wonderful laundry room equipped with games and ping pong while you wait. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

Perfect apartment hotel for our family of 5 trip to nyc. Spacious and well appointed with lots of amenities. Easy walk to the subway, seaport, Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge. Great base to explore the city and very quiet in the evening. Staff were so welcoming and friendly with great recommendations.

GREAT FOR FAMILY WITH TEENS. We were reluctant to stay on Wall Street because it was so far from midtown and other attractions. But this area is much less crowded and it steps away from ferry stops and subway stations that can get you everywhere quickly. We booked what Expedia calls a Premium Apartment which had a bedroom with a queen and a little alcove bed which our teen daughters enjoyed sharing. The apartment was extremely spacious with more cupboard space than I have ever seen in a hotel room. But there are very few comfortable places to sit besides the bed (presumably to discourage guests from packing too many extra people in for the night)! Free laundry room with pool table was a nice touch.

Loved my stay at Placemkr! Great location - close to the water with great attractions within walking distance and close to the trains. The rooms and common areas were clean and staff were extreamly helpful and friendly.
