A little disappointing...

Definitely not "downtown" although classed by Expedia as downtown...television could have been HD for the price, also bathrobes would have been a convenience. Otherwise, clean, quiet and reasonably comfortable. Would shop for my own hotel in future, not trust Expedia "mystery" hotel, not finding out what it was until paid for and no cancelling privileges, even though area was not the area we wanted. Definitely more 3 star than 3.5 star

great hotel

Everyone working at the Silver Cloud Broadway were very nice and helpful. the hotel shuttle was awesome! the rooms were very clean and the housekeeping worked quickly. Didn't eat at the restaurant but the bar was great.

Amazing!! Everything was perfect!

This hotel was not only in a lovely location, but had a free shuttle service to all the hot spots in Seattle! The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was beautiful. It definitely exceeded our expectations...We did not want to leave!

Silver Cloud Hotel - Broadway

This hotel was clean, but the rooms had no light control in the morning, and hotel staff did not care about how this affected our trip. It might not seem that important to have good light control in a hotel room, but when it is your first opportunity to sleep-in in 18 months and the morning light wakes you up at 5 am, it is pretty impactful on the overall trip. Besides, when was the last time you stayed a hotel where the room was not completely blacked out by the blinds? This was my first.

Good Location, nice hotel

Hotel was good, the shuttle service is handy for coming back to the hotel as it is ALL uphill from the market, pioneer square, etc. 5 min walking from Pike and Broadway where you'll find a bunch of bars and restaurants. Jimmy's the hotel bar, is amazing. Fantatsic staff, really good food, 2 happy hours a day and lots of beer on tap. The only bad thing is they close at 11, but hands down the best hotel bar I have ever been to. Not a far walk at all to Pike Place, shopping on Pine, etc. Rooms were comfortable, clean, staff was friendly. All in all, I'd go back!

Acceptable but not sure I liked the location

For a more upscale-style hotel I think the location is in an area that is a little different (let's just leave it at that). You are pleasantly surprised when you walk through the front doors as it is impressive. The staff are wonderful and we had absolutely NO issues. I believe the hotel has a shuttle which will take you many places. One note that really impressed me: we were told we could leave our private vehicle in their parking after check out so that we could attend the local MLB game. Thanks for that.

Nice place

The Silver cloud is a nice place to stay. You're pretty close to the hospital and such. It was a great location for our needs. The front desk staff was good, there was one exceptional girl who was awesome, can't remember her name but you will know her when you meet her. If you need to be in that area I'd say this is the place to stay.

Silver Cloud Broadway in Seattle

Don't bother, here's why: Poor wifi, kept losing the connection and never noticed right away each time so was on roaming 3G which will cost me a fortune when I get the bill. Horrible TV reception and the expensive rental movies were NOT digital HD and had waves and fuzz. We had two TVs and one continually stopped working. Pool area is horrible and the pool is cold. Getting to the pool you have to walk through the parking garage. The maid staff put a dirty sheet from another room on one of our beds, you could smell the stinky bum of someone who had sat on the bed. When we called to replace the sheet they brought the wrong size sheet...twice! We gave up. The parking was not secure while they were doing some renovations in their garage, the gate was wide open and there was no security company present to secure the garage. This was not listed on the site. They won't send a cork screw to your room, you have to go to the lobby to open your bottle. Called the front desk on 4 occasions where no one answered. Bottom line is I advise you steer clear of this hotel, and for me, I will be staying far away from the entire chain based on my visit.

Love staying at this hotel

I've stayed here many times and for the cost it's great. I prefer the village feel rather than being right downtown, yet it is still just a 15 min walk to city center. When you need a bit of downtime the University grounds right next door are very peaceful. There was a bit of construction going on in the underground but really didn't interfere. This is my first choice whenever I visit Seattle.

Best hotel on the Hill

The room was an unexpected surprise. I have stayed there before and it is always clean and in order. This time I had a hot tub and fireplace in my room - it was more of a suite - I didn't realize they had these rooms so it was a big bonus. I stay there often and will again. Would recommend it. The free internet is another plus.

a great little stay in Seattle!

Just wanted to spend a couple of days in Seattle and chose to try the Silver Cloud for a change. Very comfortable, clean, in an interesting neighbourhood and fairly close to the city core. Will definitely stay there again.

Service not in relation with the standing

During all my stay, I never met a valet parking nor a doorman. At the reception desk, the person didn't make an effort to understand me in english since I speak french. No smile, little service. At the check out, they wanted me to sign a document to accept to pay anything damaged in the room. But the receptionist didn't tell me that. It was nothing, just like a registration card. I refused. And they wanted me to pay by credit card the parking whereas I had said at my check in that I would pay in cash. At last and not the least, I heard a noise in my room due probably to the air contioning although I had turned it off. The second night, it was disturbing. But the clerk didn't seem to be surprised. I would say it was clean, correct, the spa was not nice, under the parking. It was enough far from the downtown and the shuttle was delayed, more 15 minutes. It is enough expensive regarding the service. But it's correct to stay one or two days to be in the area. Check the problems as you check in. For the demanding people, the hotel is not worth its 3 stars. A big effort to make to be polite and courteous towards the foreigners mainly when they try to speak american. Sure.

Impressed

The hotel was well maintaine3d. Staff were helpful. The free shuttle to nearby Safeco Field was on time and the driver was courteous.The area surrounding the hotel is quite quiet as well. The complimentary breakfast was adequate but not stellar in quality. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay close to downtown Seattle's attractions.

great hotel

we stayed here based on the location. it's about a 15 minute walk to pike place market. the rooms have a microwave and mini fridge. which is a nice feature. Also very clean and updated with comfy beds. bathrooms were basic. Wifi is actually free, parking was not. Pool had no deep end. Overall I was quite pleased with it. The rooms were very quiet as we heard nothing from the hallway

My husband and I stayed for two nights. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very professional. Hotel in good location. Parking was safe and secure. The only thing is the noise outside hotel in the morning. Which can't be helped by hotel. I would return and maybe ask too stay on the other side of hotel.

good location very convenient. Nice restaurant on the first floor. Parking is good. The king bed is clean and comfort. Washroom is quite small, so fine value.
