Cantabria is a perfect destination for those looking for a coastal town in Spain that is mostly about relaxing on beautiful beaches. The capital city, Santander has less than 200,000 people so this really is a nice tranquil beach town. It is home to one of the most mesmerising bays in the world. There aren’t a lot of sites which might be considered historical here, and really this small hideaway in Spain is geared more toward quiet weddings and sunbathing on the beach. Villas in Alicante

For a city that is rich in Spanish history and culture, Alicante is a wonderful choice of cities to get married in and rent wedding villas. Whilst there it is important to see Santa Barbara Castle that dates all the way back to the 10th century. Of course it’s not like it will be easy to miss as it is located on an outcrop that overlooks the city. Santa Barbara Castle is one of Europe’s largest medieval fortresses and was named for the conquest of King Alfonse which occurred on Santa Barbara’s day in 1248. The historical sites, combined with the nice weather and the hospitality of the locals make Alicante a really lovely part of Spain for a wedding and honeymoon.

Villas in Valencia

Valencia is one of the larger cities in Spain, in fact third largest to be precise. Even with over two million residents in and around the city, it has somehow managed to keep its charm and is definitely a romantic place for a wedding. One excellent attraction when visiting Valencia for any reason at all is The City of Arts and Sciences. This spectacular piece of architecture was created by Santiago Calatrava, a local of the city. Here there is the largest Aquarium in all of Europe, the Palau de le Artes, Palua de la Musica and of course a laser IMAX theatre. There are also many small towns on the outskirts to venture off and see. This is a great spot to rent wedding villas for everyone on the trip.

Villas in The Balearic Islands

The Balearic Islands are comprised of four very different islands. They are Ibiza, Formentera, Menorca and Majorca. Because each of these islands is a bit different in what it has to offer, it is important you decide exactly where you want to stay when you arrive. If you are looking for more of a nightlife type atmosphere such as one that might be perfect for a hen or stag party then a villa in Ibiza is a great choice. However, if you are looking for some nice relaxing time in a cosy little village with the family, then you will probably be better off booking your villas in Majorca. Do a little research on each of the islands as well as what they have to offer before you make a decision. The important thing to know is that any of the four islands will be a nice change from your everyday life.
