What is the regulation of housing for tourist use (VUT) in the Balearic Islands?

- Decree 20/2015, of April 17, on general principles and coordination guidelines in tourism matters; of regulation of advisory, coordination and cooperation bodies of the Government of the Balearic Islands, and of regulation and classification of companies and tourist establishments, issued in development of Law 8/2012, of July 19, of Tourism of the Balearic Islands
- Decree Law 1/2020, of January 17, against excess tourism for the improvement of quality in tourist areas
- Decree-law 3/2022, of February 11, on urgent measures for the sustainability and circularity of tourism in the Balearic Islands
What should you take into account?
To start your activity, you must process the corresponding authorization procedure. The housing for tourist use will be registered in the records of the Island Councils, the competent authorities on each Balearic Island.
