Not up to expectations.

In need of maintenance. Gutter hanging off. Windows require replacement or renovation. The worst things were the parking and the smell inside the house. Anyone with a big car would struggle to park at the property and leaving it on the streetlleaving leaving the car on the road outside is not on.

Lovely comfortable cottage. So nice to come back to a cool living room during the heatwave. Off road parking a bonus. Will certainly come back.

Meadowbank Lodge is located in Staveley, near Windermere, and is a good location for visiting the lakes. The village has good local amenities. The lodge is well equipped. Please be mindful that this is sold as pet friendly but the owner does not allow pets upstairs and the rear garden is not fully enclosed.

Good for visiting local walks , cosy but a little updating needed downstairs.

Good for visiting local walks , cosy but a little updating needed downstairs. Nice, safe , dog friendly garden although it says parking it’s a tight spot within the garden so best to park in road.

Meadowbank Lodge was a good base from which to explore the area with the addition of beautiful views A very warm and cosy cottage with a small secure enclosed garden for the dog. Lounge furniture, carpet, crockery and cutlery could do with updating and if dogs are welcome there needs to be a better hoover. Parking for one car is possible but you need to be good at reversing.

Happy with cottage and location.

Happy with cottage and location. The facilities overall are very good although the sofa makes it seem a little dated so updating this I think would make a good improvement. The week we went the weather was breezy and a draught was coming from both the front and the back doors meaning the heating had to be left on most of the time. The bathroom is nice but could do with a better placed lock as it couldnt closed fully. Overall happy. Bedrooms were very nice and outside area. Thanks
