The best lodge we've stayed in.

We've been to Scotland countless times to visit the Highlands. Most of the time we stay in lodges as we like the freedom of looking after ourselves and to come and go as we please. This lodge would be the best we have ever stayed in.The communication between us and the hosts was seamless. On arrival we met William and Rhona. They are such lovely and welcoming people and full of local knowledge. The lodge was immaculate. The front room was spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. They even provided some dishwasher tablets/ washing up liquid etc. There was also a nice little welcome pack such as eggs, tea, coffee, fudge, and short bread biscuits. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The downstairs has a large shower room and the upstairs has an equally large ensuite but the shower is in the bath. Our week in the highlands was lovely and the beautiful lodge made it even more special.Thank you William and Rhona

Wonderful stay in Farr

This was our first visit to William's property and it definitely won't be our last. What a beautiful house! The photos definitely don't do it justice. William went the extra mile to put up a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations for our two small chidren and they loved it. They also left delicious snacks to welcome us, which speaks of the wonderful hospitality. The property is conveniently located so various trourist destinations are within a short drive. The natural beauty of the are made every drive special and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Highland Gem!

Stayed for 3 nights to celebrate my wife and my daughter’s birthdays. The lodge is immaculately presented and the warm welcome from the hosts was carried throughout our stay, a proper home from home! We walked the local trails, visited Loch Ness and Inverness , all within the local vicinity. Very peaceful retreat within a 10 minute drive of the A9. Even in winter the lodge is very well heated and a wood burning stove adds extra character as well as heat. The cleanliness of the lodge is of an exceptionally high standard, actually I don’t recall staying anywhere EVER that was equal. The pictures are an accurate reflection on the property and I would advise anyone who likes the look of this lodge to book it without hesitation!

Fantastic

The property was really comfortable and equipped with everything you needed. The bedding and towels were lovely. Some really nice touches to the property, I loved the old photo of the two boys under the tree where the lodge was situated. The location was excellent, nice and quiet but only 5 minutes from the A9 and 15 from Inverness. Our hosts gave us some geat seuggestions of places to visit. We will certainly be recommending them.

Peaceful and Beautiful location

This was our first family summer holiday with our son, now 10 months old. The lodge was beautifully presented and clean. The location was just what we wanted, peaceful and a perfect location to explore. The lodge is 20 minutes from Inverness and Loch Ness. There's loads of places to visit with in an hour and half drive. You'll never be short of things to do. The owners are around if you need anything. They are very welcoming and friendly. I couldn't recommend the lodge more, if you're look to visit the beautiful Highlands.

Lovely people lovely place lovely setting

This is such a great place to stay!! William and Rhona were great hosts; attentive without being overbearing at all. The lodge is beautiful and cosy with everything you need for a blissful holiday, including proper sized mugs! Our kids also loved the tyre swing outside. We were given lots of ideas for what to do in the area by William and Rhona - Highland Wildlife Park was amazing, as was mountain biking at Rothiemurchus. Nairn beach (and splash pad!) were fabulous. This is truly a great place to stay to explore the Highlands. We would happily stay again!

Fabulous stay

We had a fantastic holiday in Fearndag lodge in August. The lodge is spacious, comfortable and well equipped, within driving distance of more than we expected. Despite the seemingly rural location with the peace and quiet we were looking for, we were surprised to find a 24-hour grocery store within just 20min drive from the lodge. On the recommendation of our hosts we went to Ullapool on the west coast - an easy 1.5hr drive (unless you stop at wonderful waterfalls along the way like we did) and spent several days in the Cairngorms as well as heading north to Golspie and the Cromarty firth. We had delicious meals at restaurants recommended by our hosts and many lovely walks and bike rides not to mention a personal introduction to the cows and our very own sheepdog display. We even got a close encounter with the wild Moray firth dolphin pod. I highly recommend this accommodation and the hosts are fantastic - very helpful and responsive. We look forward to returning!

A wonderful holiday!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful lodge. The accommodation is lovely and had everything we could need as well as being so peaceful. We really enjoyed the location as we were able to spend time walking around the local area as well as travelling further to places such as the Cairngorms for even more spectacular scenery. I would definitely recommend the lodge for a family holiday and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you!
