We enjoyed staying in this very well appointed cottage- everything we needed was provided, including a needle and tweezers to remove a splinter! Lovely walk behind the property and the opportunity to play tennis thrown in.
A great space for a quiet get away.
The cottage is in a wonderfully rural setting and was a peaceful place to stay. For garden lovers like us there were lots of places to visit within easy distance. Including Buscot Park and Kelmscott. It was also only a short trip to Oxford. All in all a great place for a short break or a longer stay.
Had a lovely time, the cottage was excellent and a perfect base to visit the Didcot railway, also for catching up with friends and family; even the weather behaved itself. Kate was the perfect hostess, she was attentive without being intrusive.
We really enjoyed our stay and found it peaceful and relaxing. The tennis court was a really wecome facility. We felt that the curtains over the sink in the kitchen could do with cleaning and blackout blinds in the bedrooms would have been welcomed but this was personal preference. Overall the property is lovely and well maintained and equipped.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The rural location is what we were looking for so this coupled with the excellent amenities in the cottage provided a refreshing holiday. The welcome and all the help from Kate was much appreciated. The kids loved the trampoline in the garden which they are badly missing now!
Super find - very interesting property surrounded by countryside but good communication. Lots of space downstairs, good exterior access, good bathroom and all sorts of things provided in kitchen that have been missing at other properties. Adjoining farmland and woods ideal for a stroll. Some interesting architectural features in property! Really good value
Très beau cottage bien équipé et bien situé au calme.

My husband and I live at Abbey Farm with my family who are now all grown up and living away from home . The farm is no longer a working farm though there are sheep in the fields. We have a dog, Basil.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is part of Abbey Farm - a 13th -16th Century farm house orginnaly built for the Abbey at Abingdon
What makes this property unique
Abbey Cottage is part of Abbey Farm which is a 17th Century farm set on a historic village green. Although Oxford/Bicester/Bath and historic towns of Wantage and Faringdon are all close by the village of Goosey has a rural atmosphere. We have 35 acres of farm land and woodland walks that you can walk over. There is a narea of the main garden that you can use and also a tennis court. There is also a ping png table which can be used outside when the weather is good.
